Love this park. People always out walking and walking their dogs, having a coffee watching nature, exercising. Calm atmosphere, shade in several areas. Just a peaceful place.

Great place for a stroll with your pup! Amazing playground for the four legged little ones. Within walking distance and quite a bit of sun. Well maintained and a beautiful spot just to sit and read your favorite book. Relax and chill

Rushton Park Trivia: Prior to 1900, there was a small spring feed stream that ran down the middle of the park going North. This stream was captured and using hollowed logs, the stream became the source for the first piped water in Jefferson County Circa 1850. The stream ran North along 30th Street South terminating at the B.P. Worthington home located near the intersection of 30th Street South and 6th Ave South, making it the first home in JeffCo with indoor water/plumbing. There is a Historic Marker at the intersection near where the house once stood.

Love this park. So does my grandkids. I love the setting and there is a lot of people there with kids and dogs. It is really close to my home. The playground areas ( there are 2 ) are fenced off so kids can play separately from dogs etc.

Always enjoy catching some rays here in the middle of the day. Lots of runners, doggos and kids here throughout different parts of the day. Sometimes the pre school at the church will take all the kids to the park and playground so that might be something to watch out during the late morning. Wish it got mowed more, they almost let it go to long and it’s hard to hangout in the grass.

Small park located in the Highland Park neighborhood. Its a nice place to enjoy a sunny day while sitting on a bench or the grass. The whole neighborhood is a wonderful place for a walk, too.
