This park is fantastic for runners. There is a flat loop around the park you can use for warming up before doing a workout on the publically assessible track. Public bathrooms are available as well. Well worth the 20 minute drive for me to get there.

I walk in Heardmont Park early every morning and find it quiet and peaceful. I particularly like the dogs that walk with their owners. If a well-mannered unleashed dog or two brothers you, wait until later in the day to walk and let the rest of us enjoy petting and playing with the dogs and meeting with their owners.

My 99 yo MIL is living with us now. I took her to the senior community center. They serve lunch daily for a $2 donation. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially K.C. . They have bingo on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9 to 2 lunch served. They arrange trips and picnics for them. Also have exercise classes. The park itself is a great place to go, has walking trails, dog park and playground for kids.

Huge park! A creek runs through it, and there are places to wade. This is a multi-use space, and there are lots of baseball parks on the premises. Theres some playground equipment at the front. If you have kids who want to play on a playground, they might get bored quickly. If your kids like to walk/run, play in the water, see nature, this is a great place. I like it because theres more than one thing to do, so when the kiddos get restless, you can move on to a different activity. If there are ball games going on, dont try to go! Its super crowded, and the parking lot can feel dangerous to navigate!

Oh Heardmont park.....I want to give you 5 stars. I love this park but you guys have GOT to do better for the softball girls. The baseball fields are always well kept, have concrete around them, the benches are well cared for and they have restrooms and concessions near by. But the softball fields....its like they were an afterthought. The bleachers are terrible and dirty all the time. They have very little concrete, NO bathrooms and NO concession (have to walk a half a mile and miss an inning of your kids game to go to the bathroom). This is particularly hard on little girls playing a game that have to go to the bathroom and make it back in time to bat. You guys can do better. Girls sports should be given the same attention. On another note the walking trails are amazing and well kept.
