Seclusion on the Deschutes river. Excellent trout fishing. Picnic area and River access for floating to Benham Falls.

Less popular than some of the day use areas in Bend. Great spot to relax if youre in Sunriver!

This is a nice little day use area. There isnt enough parking here, though. There are a few picnic tables. It seems the primary use for this day use area is to put-in or take-out watercraft on the Deschutes River. You could actually put-in on the south side of Besson, float the river for 10-20 minutes, and then take-out on the north side. That would save you having to shuttle your car. The float would be pretty short. On the weekends in the summer, youll be very luck to get a parking spot, though. Youll need to get here early or plan on using Besson on a weekday.

We had to use this access point to get off the river when we found ourselves unable to paddle back to our starting point in our canoe. There is a restroom that was clean. It is a difficult place for Google maps to find, it tries to take you down a road that is blocked off.

Really nice spot for a picnic next to the river but the road there is not the best. Also google maps doesnt know where it is, after it says youve arrived, keep going until you see the sign facing the other way...

I rode in on my mountain bike. So I didnt really use the campground much for the day use area look like a good spot to go fishing I saw a couple different people fishing

Parking can be tight during peak hours. Put-on isnt really developed, but works just fine.
