The staff is very friendly. It was a very fun and unique experience. We really liked the pirate theme in the Curse of the Emerald Seas room. They didnt hold our hands but provided help when we were totally stuck. The puzzles were really well thought out. They were hard enough that we really had to think about it but not so hard that we couldnt figure them out (with maybe just a hint or two). It was a great challenge and awesome fun. Cant wait to go back and do another room.

Good value for the price. This was my first experience with escape rooms and our first room was way too easy (pirate one). Based on staff suggestion we did another room right after that was their hardest (kidnapping one) and it definitely was more challenging and fun. We still finished the room with plenty of time to spare, but we were also using 7 people when the max is usually 6 so I think that may have had to do with it.

Had a blast! Super great family night! We did the pirate room and it was a challenge. It was clean, well decorated and overall very well done. We will definitely go back to try another room. I highly recommend.

For our girls weekend this year we chose Puzzle Effect. We had so much fun that we all wished we had time to pick another room and solve another puzzle. The gal at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I definitely want to go back and will recommend it to my friends.

Escape rooms are so fun and Puzzle Effect did a great job! The room was so fun and the clues were so clever and just challenging enough! It really helps to have the max amount of people in the room because it’s so neat to see how differently everyone thinks and someone can catch clues that you can’t! I will for sure be back!

Great fun! We made it out with 49 secs left. They do a great job with clues when you are struggling so you dont get too crazy frustrated. Super fun!

My co workers and I did the Rescue mission. It was definitely challenging but very fun! Teaches you how to work in a team and makes you use your brain! First time trying the escape room and we were successful with only 18 seconds left! If youre looking for a team building experience or just a fun night with family and friends Id recommend the bend escape room!

It was the first time Ive ever been to an escape room, and it was really fun. I got to enjoy it with my friends as we solved puzzles and figured out riddles. Its really easy to get stuck if you miss a clue, but there are hints that can help and explain what to do if you dont see it first.

Amazing puzzles and atmosphere, really had to think on some of them but it wasnt crazy challenging. Me and my friends did Grim Stacks and beat it in 40 min, really cool room. Would recommend to anyone looking for an escape room!

I was so glad they had a puzzle room for our larger group. It was all very clean and well put together. We all felt successful. We are sad they stopped doing the photo at the end due to COVID stuff so be sure to take your own in the room with your time. But we had a blast!!!!

It was super fun. We were laughing a joking the whole time. I felt like we put on a good show for the people watching us since we are kinda stupid, they ended up almost having to give us a walk through at the end, but we did with 7 seconds to spare. Will go again

Very fun! Went with my family after Puzzle Effect had been open to the public just two days. They’re very professional and so nice, and the escape room was incredible! We made it out with just over two minutes to spare.

My husband and I wanted something fun to do for the day and decided we would like to try an Escape Room! At first, we were worried because there was only two of us but the nice ladies at the front desk ensured us that we would do just fine! We had so much fun and laughed a lot, we would highly recommend the Puzzle Effect! We will be back again!

We went to the new escape room at the new location and the experience was much better, still not as good as the one we went to in Portland, but a fun time with better props.ThanksPrevious review from before the move below....This was our second escape room experience, the first was at one in Portland 2 years earlier. We did go to the easiest room in bend and was disappointed when comparing our two experiences. The puzzles were all pretty easy and the props were very simplistic and not thought out much compared to our first room in Portland. We are hesitant to go again to this one, hopefully the harder rooms have had more time and thoughtfulness when they were created, but We don’t know and don’t want to risk another disappointment.

I found the whole experience to be quite the adrenaline rush! Great for special occasions, or even just a weekend

I have been to many escape rooms and this by far will be toward the bottom of my list. We did the Rescue. It was a fun puzzle to solve, but there isnt much to the establishment. I believe they are moving soon. If they werent moving I would not go back due to the dirtiness of the place. Very run down, dusty (not on purpose), lack of upkeep. Very friendly staff.

Loved it! First time trying an escape room, did it as a family and included our 8 and 12 year kids. Everyone helped to solve the room and we all had a great time and are excited to try it again! Update: we did our second room today and solved it with over 10 min to spare! Had a blast.

It was so much fun, it was a challenge and excited. Cant wait to go back and try another room. It was my first time and glad I did it and it was just two of us and we escaped! Barely... 3:48 to spare out of 60 minutes.

This room was really fun, but not the most creative. It felt like there were too many Key and lock combinations. Would still recommend, just not as interesting as some other escape rooms I’ve done. Did love the theme though and how the clues were provided!

The Knight & Rook room was awesome. Definitely tests your cognitive skills with puzzle solving. I found it best to sit in the chair and watch my fellow privateers do the work. Then pipe in when I had a brilliant revelation on what might solve the present puzzle we were on. All in all it was well worth and the whole group had a blast. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves solving mysteries.

This was a disappointing escape room for me. I have been to over a dozen escape rooms in four different states and this might have been my least favorite experience.Pros: I do appreciate the private rooms. It is nice to accomplish the challenge with only the members of your party. The decor was well done in the room I did (Pirate Ship).Cons: I would have really enjoyed to solve the puzzles without constant cannon fire (indicating hints were being displayed on the screen). Is was a matter of minutes into the escape room that answers to the room were being displayed on the screen which was before we had even finished searching the room. When we tried to ignore the spoilers throughout the experience, the administrator kept making the cannon noise until we looked at the screen.If you are a family with young kids, the experience could be more of a “fun” event, but I like to do escape rooms as more of a challenge.

We had so much fun!!! the clues they give are so perfectly worded as to not give the answer, but to give you enough information to get the answer yourself. We were there as a family of 11 siblings and spouses and our kids for a family reunion. What a blast! Thank you for making it a great first time for 10 of the 11 of us!

Pretty fun family experience. As a first time player, as soon as the countdown started I was completely in the game. Lots of fun puzzles, keeps the gears turning! Will be back in the future to explore the other rooms!

Great fun. Our family of seven, mostly adults between 34 and 70 and one child, went together and all enjoyed it. Good place to start if youve never done an escape room before. Staff is very helpful and provides clues as needed based on where you personally are stuck. There are a variety of rooms of different difficulty, several related to each other. You could go back and have new rooms to try or do one again and either escape if you didnt do it before or better your time. Experience helps, so if its your first time, bring someone whos done it before and has some strategies for you to try.

This was a fun experience and would have been great except for a couple of over competitive co-workers. Which was no fault of the venue.

Great place for a first timer and really fun

It was fun for my family but very difficult for novices. It was our first time and wished we had known we had chosen the hardest room. The website should rate the level of difficulty. Offering an additional 15 minutes would have been nice as well when it was obvious we were flailing.

Great fun, not too challenging for 12-year old boys, but challenging enough to make it really fun. Had to work together and pay attention. Great way to get the boys off technology and get them thinking. Well be back again.

My boyfriend and I had never tried an escape room, so we decided to go to Bend Escape Room to try it out. It was such a fun experience. We didnt solve it but we had a great time trying. I would definitely do it again.

Ive been to the Bend Escape Room twice now. Both times I went through a different room, both were a blast. Challenging puzzles, cleaver use of the room layouts, and intuitive hint system in case you (or your group) find yourself spinning your tires. Each room can host up to 6 players and if your booking doesnt fill the room youll be pair with others who want the same event. Overall I have loved my experiences with B.E.R. and Im looking forward to my next room!

We loved the pirate escape room. We did it as a family of 6 (4 adults, 2 teens) and escaped with 3 minutes left. It was the right amount of challenge and adrenaline rush to beat the clock! We loved how EVERY member of our family contributed to solve the puzzle...a true team effort!

My wife and I went with a bunch of friends for a birthday day and we had so much fun we ended up book and doing another one a week later which would be today andddd we ended up booking another day! Highly recommend to all

Brilliant! We had so much fun trying to solve the RESCUE escape room. It was the perfect thing to do while my family was visiting from out of town. My teenage son and nieces had a great time too! We made it to the last clue, but ran out of time, so we didn’t solve the mystery. The employees were great about giving us clues when we got stuck and explained at the end how to solve the mystery. MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Had no idea that my 3 sons and I could completely partner with zero conflict, disagreement, or bickering whatsoever. Our journey took 2 or 3 minutes longer than the time allowed. But when all was said and done, the bonds we created will last well into the future. So, thanx for that Escape Room Team! :>)

I love the escape room! it was so fun to try to go in and figure out the puzzle and although we didnt make it out having them walk us through all the steps that we needed to take to get out was awesome. This business also has donated to fundraising events and I try to support businesses that do this so you should too.

The experience was fun, we almost solved the mystory . There were 6 of us in a small room with no air conditioning. we were all so miserable we considered escaping before our hour was up. For the money, there is no excuse to put people through such discomfort. I would not do it again.

It was a challenge which was exciting. Our 1 hour went by very quickly. We want to do it again. We were 2 clues away from finishing!!

This was so fun. Interesting all the way through and we photo finished which made it exciting (seriously 33 seconds left). The clues were well done, some of them were more elaborate than the others but it was great. Staff was really helpful too. Cant wait to go back.

Im not from Bend, so I dont know the local options, but of the escape rooms I have been to, this was by far the best. I cant say much about the experience, but they are well-designed rooms.with a great waiting area. Good luck!Not that it matters, but my groups time was 16:34. Better than most apparently!

Average. I’ve been to a lot of escape rooms and although this wasn’t the “oldest, most run down, nor cheaply themed” I’ve seen, it was certainly the most expensive. I only complain about the price because when our group got stuck on a red herring clue, there was no way to communicate with the staff. When asked how we could have asked for help we were told, “really the only way is to jump up and down and wave your arms in front of a camera so we can see you. There’s only two of us monitoring four rooms and we’re stretched pretty thin.” Huh?It’s still the best Bend has to offer but it is certainly not an above average escape room experience.We had fun. We love escape rooms, but our experience here was a solid C.

Visited for the first time. We failed, we didnt escape and the victim blew up, but we had a blast! It was a lot of fun. Puts your mind to the test. Highly recommend it.

The Escape Room is a gem of a place for kids and the young at heart. Escape reality in enjoy a mystery that will intrigue and entertain you. The staff works hard for your enjoyment in a great atmosphere. Very good for parties where large groups can interact doing something out of the ordinary. Its a place that youll want to come backbbto again and again. Gift cards are available and make excellent gifts.

This place is a lot of fun! It was a good challenge and a great group activity! We were able to complete the first challenge just within the hour. The staff is very kind and helpful in the room! I will definitely be back again!

Good place. All three rooms are fun and offer a variety of challenges. They have had the same rooms for the past year so for locals it can only be fun 3 times. Seems like bad business to never change them. Salem and Portland offer dozens of great rooms for those who have done all the rooms here.

We had a great time, and just about broke it before the time was up. There were only 2 of us, so maybe that made a difference:-)
