When I moved to Bend my roommate would take me out here snowshoeing. Beautiful trails with a cozy hut. Theres a wood stove in the hut which was great to start a fire in the snow. The views are fantastic and generally very friendly woodsmen around. Will be back next winter for more strolls in the woods.

Great view of the stars at night. Snowmobile trails in winter, hiking trails in summer. Bathrooms. Right off of the road. If youre car camping, its a decent spot to park.

My favorite place for XC skiing in the state. Be sure and donate what you can to the grooming fund, as this is entirely operated by volunteers!

You must experience the backcountry of Oregon during the wintertime....it is so incredibly beautiful. We love to snowshoe up to the warming shelter. The views from the top of the trail are simply gorgeous.... Broken Top Mountain and the Three Sisters...

Great snow park! Pleasant outdoor activities. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing trails are well maintained. The shelter is cozy with wood stove going and friendly time with visitors. This was my first experience at winter sports. Other visitors were very courteous offering encouragement and suggestions to this beginner atv76 years old.

A great area to nordic ski that is run by volunteers. Drop a couple of dollars in the donation box to help with the costs of running the groomer.

FYI a sno park pass is required to park. Public bathrooms available, they are primitive (no flush) but well maintained. Nicely groomed cross country trails and lots of trail options! Beautiful forest and a great view from the warming hut. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful and mostly easy snow shoe hike. Getting up to the top with the warming shed is amazing, especially when the fire is going. Great photo ops too.

Great cross country ski and snowshoe park during the winter months. The view from the ski hut is breathtaking. Large warming hut at the parking lot, with several vault toilets that are open year round. Hiking and mountain biking are available during the summer and fall. Also, great free spot to park park overnight when traveling. I even got some internet signal.

Beautiful trails, well-groomed and fairly flat. We went with a couple of kids (11 and 14) who had little experience, and they did fine. The snow was incredible, but Ive only visited December 2016, so I dont know if thats the norm. Some signage and trail lengths are hard to decipher and seem inconsistent with each other. The warming hut is great.

Often crowded, but for a good reason! Well groomed and easy to get to. Do be careful on the road there, though, as black ice is common. If theres too many people for you, try going on one of the lower trails like Wild Strawberry, Pine Drops, Lupine, etcetera.

Something is up. Since Saturday (maybe longer?) I have had trouble finding a trail with evidence of grooming and it looks like the grooming machine is broken. There often are tread tracks but no corduroy. as if the drum isnt turning. Today on tangent Loop there was a like a snow plow bank down the middle of the trail, from a few inches to at least a foot high.
