Came to Bend and thought we get some adventure in. Signed up for the Big Eddy 1+ hour white water rafting trip. It was fun, but probably to short. The guides were all cool and fun, but the Big Eddy section wasnt too long of a ride. Wished that there was more coasting instead of paddling. One great thing was that they had a good program for Covid and separating parties. Felt safe and they run a good and safe operations. If I were to do it again, sign up for a longer trip which hopefully doesnt require as much rowing!

Well organized and friendly staff made our trip down the McKenzie River quite enjoyable. They recognized the special folks in my group and made sure they were safely seated in the back of the bus as they are accustomed to. Our guide Hodge and driver Woody catered to all our needs and made sure nobody got hurt .... good fun for all!

We did the big eddy with Clint as our guide and it was a great time! It was short but awesome, we were able to enjoy more of Bend in the same day. They are being very careful regarding covid including separation on the shuttle (2 empty row of seats between groups) and guest temperature checks. It was a safe and fun trip!

My friends and I decided to book a rafting trip - the Big Eddy Thriller - at the last minute, during their visit from Houston. I live in Bend and had never signed up for an excursion like this. They took every precaution, requiring masks throughout the tour with just a quick mask removal through the big rapids (probably for the photo op!) Our guide, Devon, was super fun, informative and funny. He gave us a lot of confidence and lied to us only once about how wet we would get. We had SO MUCH FUN and would book this short 1.5 hr rafting adventure again in a heartbeat. My only issue was getting a little motion sick in the bus on the way too and from, if they can let guests drive themselves to the put in (they may, I didnt ask) even better. Such a great time!

We all thought it was too short for the amount of money we paid to do this. Also, our guide was so picky about us keeping our masks on properly. When my 11 yr old’s mask broke because it got too wet he asked him to sit up on the front of the raft. Kinda ruined the experience by treating us as if we were sick. Our friends had a different tour guide who they said was fun and laid back tho.

Super fun trip down the big Eddy. Everyone that works there is friendly. This was our second time using Sun Country Tours and next time we are in Bend we will use them again. Great service, fair pricing, awesome adventure.

Very fun ride on the Big Eddy. Our guide was friendly and professional and great with my teenaged boys. Knew the area well, recommended trails to run later. Would definitely book again.

I was worried when we only had 2 people in our raft that it would be more difficult. Instead, I think it was more FUN!! Even though neither of us had rafted before, Johnny put us at ease and we had the greatest time. It is a perfect ride for anyone. Not too long, not too short, not too scary. haha. Also I love that they take care of everything--gear, busing you to and from the river, and all the techy stuff of how to get through unscathed. Highly recommend.

A good day of simple adventure. Perfect on a hot day. The car ride across the high desert to Maupin was surprisingly scenic.

My son, nephew, and I did the Big Eddy white water rafting excursion with his Mt. Bachelor mountain biking class yesterday. Clint was our guide and he was really fun! Also, anyone that patient with as many kids as there was deserves a raise. The gal that checked me in, (I didnt catch her name but we talked Doctor Who) was fantastic and super helpful. I had a lot of questions and she was great! Overall this was a fun experience and would do again.

Thank you for providing such a fun, safe, and educational experience for our rowdy group!On the weekend after the 4th of July, a group of 8 friends went to visit bend for a bachelor party. We were trying to think of fun things to do and we came up with white water rafting. We made a great decision. This company provides great adventure for families and friends with all levels of rafting experience. As Nike would say, Just Do It!

The experience with my family was memorable. Out bus driver Gabriel was safe and hilarious!! Devin was our raft guide! He had a good time making sure we were all involved and getting the most of our experience (getting wet)! Next time were taking the longer tour! So much Fun!

Went on a river run with Cassie and had the best time Ive had so far in Bend. He was funny, informed, and great company! I would high recommend Sun Country for anyone with any level of experience. Cassie in particular clearly knows what hes doing, shows you exactly how to have a great time but also keeps it super safe and is generally a lot of fun to be around. He makes the experience! It is like they go out of their way to make it the worst possible experience. First off, at every ski ticket line the process is soooo long. The systems never work, people dont know how to use them. It also seems that the guests have no idea what they want and need to talk out the different options. I cant fault them for these issues, but shouldnt they have a system for this. The issue i have is the lack of best services. When i ask for my passes, i shouldnt have to ask for a picture, you should ask if I want a picture. The security questions after the main person passes the control gate arent necessary.

My wife and I did the 2 hour trip. The transportation by bus to and from the river was about a 15 minute trip each way. Our guide (really wish I could remember his name) was awesome. He pointed out some interesting things along the way, beaver dams, osprey nests, told us a bit about the lava flows along the river and was just an all around excellent, professional, and chill dude!Almost forgot the lady working in the office at registration was super friendly and helpful as well, and keeping with my theme I didn’t catch her name. All in all all of the staff from the office, the bus driver and of course the guides were super friendly and helped to make our trip and enjoyable one.The only thing we regret was not taking the full day trip! We had an absolute blast and will most definitely be making the drive from Portland back to Bend to do this again. Except this time, we’ll make it last longer by taking the full day to ride the rapids. We couldn’t recommend this outfit more strongly if we tried Thanks Sun Country Tours for a great day on the water!

My wife and I have rafted before but our young children have not. I thought the Big Eddy raft trip would be a good introduction for them into white water rafting and it was. We have 9yo twins and 7yo triplets, making a family of seven. Lucky us, we got a boat all to ourselves (and our guide). Our guide, Ty, was great. Friendly, and helpful, he made the trip great. This was a relatively short raft trip, which was perfect. The kids were wanting more by the time we were done.

Highly recommend for first-timers. This was my first time white water rafting, and Im so glad I came here to get my feet wet, if you will. The guides make you feel safe and keep you safe, but make sure you have fun at the same time. Harris was our guide, and he is so incredibly competent without being intimidating so that youre able to relax and have fun while listening to his instruction (instead of being so self-conscious about doing something right or wrong).100% worth the money spent.

Went out with a group of buddies for a bachelor party trip on the McKenzie Magic!! It was a truly amazing experience!! Beautiful river and a great ride!! Our guide was Getz, highly recommend, he made sure we had an amazing time and went the mile to make sure we had fun!!! Definitely will be doing more river trips with them!!

The rafting was SO FUN!! We absolutely loved it. The guides are so nice and really know what they are doing. I totally recommend it!

This was my 3rd time rafting with Sun country tours and it wont be the last trip I take with them. Our guide Ty was awesome!! Two families, with four adults and five kids were able to get into a single raft for the trip down Big Eddy. The guides were great, and everything went very smooth. That tour was a perfect introduction to the thrills of rafting for the kids (ages 9-12). Typically I dont buy pictures provided by these kinds of attractions, but the pictures were excellent and worth it for the memories.

The website was easy to navigate & informative & I booked our excursion online. The day before our trip, I called twice to clear up some confusion on my part & ask additional questions. Two different staff answered the phone, both were friendly & helpful. On the day of our trip, every staff member was cheerful & welcoming. Not just professional, they genuinely seemed to enjoy what they did & enjoyed having us there. Evan was our river guide & he was very communicative, accommodating & informative. Nothing was a surprise, despite most of us being novices.Highly highly recommended. All five of us had an amazing time & will definitely repeat.

It was a great trip on the river- all the action packed into 1.5 hours. We had our kids, 9 and 12 with us. The 9 year old was nervous but our awesome guide, Laura, alleviated all of her fears and she had the best time like the rest of us too. The guides were super fun and professional. We plan to do it again next year!

Our group was all beginners and our Tour Guide was a man name Westly.He was fantastic. He is very experienced and help us guide every step of the way and prepared us and talked to us throughout the trip. He was also very funny and professional. We had a blast and I recommend everyone to do this!! So Fun!!

Pretty short trip, unfortunately. The actual rapids were good but there are only about 3 or so that are worth the money. Our guide was great, but don’t go here if you’re looking for something intense.

Wonderful staff, safe trips with lots of fun! Dont go if you dont like getting wet! Not too hard and this is a less scary version of rafting for newbies (no high category rapids that make you re-wet yourself ;D )Our guide, Six was polite, friendly and a pleasure to ride with; he knew what he was doing.

Mt. Bachelor ticket sales during the winter. Time saver! Dont have to wait in line at the mountain on a powder day, can go straight to the lift.

Guides are awesome as are the staff in the shops. The deschutes local trip is super fun for a quick outing. The Mackenzie river trip is beautiful for a day trip as im sure the others are too. Great outfitter to fit your river rafting needs. Dont take flip flops, sandals or shoes only....

Really fun trip with my co-workers. Very professional company and I only give 4 stars because it is so short. There are a few tiny rapids and one big section with 5 different rapids and then it was over. I guess that could be a good thing if you have other items on your agenda for the day.

I took the McKenzie Magic Trip with Clint, Pete, and Robbie. All three were very friendly, and Clint did a great job guiding the boat I was in down the beautiful McKenzie River. I had a wonderful time and hope to get an opportunity to do another trip with SCT in the future.

Big Eddy Thriller - weve done this fun little ride several times with my niblings and its been a blast every time. Fun for both the adults and kids alike. Every guide weve had has been lots of fun and professional but especially Andy!

Our guide, Wesley, was amazing. He had to deal with all age ranges and he made us all laugh. Having never white water rafted before I was pretty nervous at first, in the end, Im sure it will be the highlight of the trip.

We had an absolute blast! I am in the hospitality industry and very critical of service etc. Our guide, Owen was fantastic and well informed about the area. Our group of 14 would definitely book again but for a longer rafting trip!

Booked the All-Day tour and had an absolutely wonderful time with our tour guide, Harris. All-Day included lunch and shuttle to the rafting site. The guides make sure the entire time everyone is safe as well as ensures that everyone is having lots of fun.

Very professional guides with loads of expertise. Would have been better if they had helmets to rent for the kids. Still waiting on our pictures to come too.

Excellent staff that was ran like a well oiled machine - upon arrival, staff was ready waiting to get our gear on and put us in our raft - EXCELLENT guide - Ben was fun and professional and made us feel safe! Only wish it was longer! Loved it!

They offer a sweet 1-2 hour float in the upper Deschutes section above Inn @ the 7th Mountain. We always take our out of town relatives. Great way for city folk to get a little taste of what were about here in Bend without having to drive too far or be on the river for the entire day.

Robbie entertained us the entire ride down the river. What a fun burst of river to enjoy for a couple of hours!

We had a lot of fun on the Big Eddy trip with two adults and two kids, age 9 and 10. It was a short trip with a string of Class 3 rapids. The kids absolutely loved it!

June, 2017 rental issue! According to Sun Countrys management, all transactions in the month of June, 2017 were not processed and the payments have just been ran in October. If you see a funny credit card charge, its from your trip last summer... :(P.S. the paddle boarding was siiiick (minus one star for the billing issue)

Bend is a beautiful place and the rafting was so cool! Great pictures to purchase as well.

The float down the river was fun. But the organization of the staff and rental system is terrible. The shuttle service takes FOREVER to get back and forth. Then if someone else grabs your tubes, they ask you to wait 30 minutes to get another one from the shuttle. I would go down the river again. I would not use this service though, because they dont have well organized staff.

We decided on the 2 hr trip which was definitely not long enough but very professional and wonderful guide. Our grandsons had a great time. Next time we will do the half or all day rafting trip.

Okay tube rental company in Bend, but huge WARNING: their employees asked us for our physical credit card as collateral until we returned the tubes, which we did. However, to our surprise, we had two unauthorized charges to our credit card account for a fantasy football site ($100) and a cell phone company ($160). Had to close the credit card account and open a fraud investigation. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD...better yet, go to another rental company.

The Big Eddie Thriller was the perfect afternoon trip during our vacation at Sunriver. 4 of the 6 people in our group had never white water rafted before, and it was a perfect trip to get their feet wet (LOL)! Ty, our guide was personable, professional and fun. We will book again next year when we return!

These guys treated us great! Cost isnt bad, guides are really fantastic, and their choice of Rapids got us goin! Would reccomend and WILL do again!
