Great place to walk your dog! Plenty of small beaches alongside the trail for swimming or looking at Lake Whatcom. Make sure to bring bags for your dog. It was sad to see some right on a trail so close to the water.

Lake Whatcom is beautiful! The trail was a bit busy, but almost everyone was careful about wearing masks, and the park is well maintained, I love it there!

Beautiful trail. Plenty of shade leading up to the lookout of Chanterelle Trail. Not difficult: I would rate it a 4 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being as difficult and technical as hiking Baker. 2.4 miles up.

I love the trail from Y Rd. even with little kids you can stop along the way to play on the beach. On the other side of the lake is private beach property but able to be accessed farther towards Sudden Valley by membership through WWU and without in Sudden Valley at either of the two gates to left.

It is a meandering long path with some pretty cool features... waterfalls, bridges, large rock formations. My only wish is that people would leash their dogs, I got cornered by a pack of them... At first I was mildly amused they were smaller breeds but when there are at least six of them its a little intimidating.

Wonderful place to walk along Lake Whatcom. There are two parking lots that both lead to all the trails.Dogs are allowed and there are lots of spots along the trail to take a dip or catch a view of the water.

Not much beach access and little beach where you can. Lots of sand fleas where there is sand. Water drops off quickly lots of hidden dangers in water. Wont go there again.
