What Tami Hanna doesnt seem to understand is that she is reviewing a trail, not people. This trail is fantastic. Most people wear their masks or pass by quick enough where it doesnt matter. Dont let self-entitled folks ruin your experience and please remember to report reviews that are not relevant.Thank you.

Ive never gone so much Up without a down or a switchback...over 2 miles straight up. Once you get past that it got more interesting and muddy. But watch it for the bikes, we had some close calls in blind areas.

I have visited this trail head and the fragrance lake trail head on the weekdays three times this week and four times last week, between the two. I have gone later in the evening, which has less people (after 4 pm) and around 2pm. My reasoning for one star is not the hike, but the hikers in regards to lack of mask wearing, and social distancing. Because lets be realistic, we are not out of the woods yet folks (pun intended). But seriously, putting on a mask when you are around people, and maintaining 6 feet distance is what we are being asked to do. It is also the polite, and I believe right thing to do. I dont want our state parks and trails closed again. Thank you for being considerate for those who need protection most. Thank you for those who do wear masks ️. My daughter lives with Down Syndrome. She was on one hike with us. She is part of our vulnerable population for getting covid-19. Is it fair for her to have to stay home because others do not use facemasks? Thank you and stay healthy friends.

Whatcom County and the people who live in this area of Washington State, is why I love being apart of this community. Dispersed camping within City limits (bellingham etc) is not available and local City police are more than happy to keep the rift raft away. ( AKA homeless, nomads and the in between)BUT finally found a safe place that respects me as I respect it...Gorgeous spot

Freaking Jurassic park meets hatchet. Beautiful and amazing. I was alone and was slightly spooked by how much bigger the forest is here vs north georgia mountain forests. Really worth the trip and easy to not get lost thanks to the signs posted.

Hiked almost 8 miles, almost none retracing my path. Deep forest feel so close to town. One drawback of the North Chuckanut is a lot of freeway noise. Good workout though.

Its always a surprise to walk into the trail and feel like you are in a remote location. Always a great walk here. Perfect place to bring an out of town guests to show off the local beauty without having to make too much of an outing of it.

Park here to access the Interurban trail. Cyclists use caution if you take the short spur between the parking lot and the trail. So much pleasanter than riding on the road. Good hard packed gravel with a few steep hills.

Hiking from here to Pine Lake was a nice day hike. The trail signs say its 3.9 miles to Pine Lake, but when I tracked the hike on my phone it was 12.5 miles round trip. Bring extra water and enjoy!
