Nice people and cute dogs. But the park itself is falling apart a little. Lots of holes that need to be filled in and old toys and broken chairs that need to be thrown away. Also it was built over an old landfill so lots of glass and random trash come out from the dirt.

Great open space with beautiul live oak trees, wildflowers.

Small dog park side needs to be mowed. Watched the big field get mowed twice in 2 days, people mowing started to open gate to mow, didnt mow just left.

Beautiful. Great, great, great place with plenty of room for many dogs. Two areas, 1 for over 25 lbs and 1 for under. Very friendly people and wonderful dogs. We loved it there!!

All the dogs are surprisingly friendly My KYLEE really enjoys going there.

Park looks like it doesn’t get maintained well and my dog got hurt after barely being there for 15 minutes. On top of that as I was carrying her to the car, I found a tick on her! Don’t think I’ll be going back

Very nice dog park for how basic it is. Every thing thats needed is there (waste bags, receptacles, water fountains for pups and seating areas for pup-parents). It is a two-sided fenced in dog park small pups 25lbs or less and then the larger dog 30lbs or more. But I will say if you have a small pup stay on the right side it your pup is aggressive avoid the park in the early afternoon.

Always love to take my dogs here! Two fenced in yards for big and small dogs. Usually a good crowd from 3:30-6ish. Great way to tire and socialize your dogs.

Enjoyable area to walk

Very spacious for bigger dogs, some stationary benches would be a great addition for the many dog owners. There is enough space for even some type of obstacle course for those in need of more stimulation.

Decent dog park! Other than that is is pretty barren. No playground for kids. But is a decent reclaimed spot to let the dog run. I have seen kite and drone flyers here aswell. Also a few golfers practicing chip shots! There only seems to be a porter John here so not facilities either.

This is an awesome place to take your pup to socialize! The people who bring their dogs there are very friendly and always want to help in any way they can. The area is huge! The have a couple doggie water fountains, inside the gate and out. They have two different fenced in areas.Mb One for small dogs and one for big dogs. Its always been a great experience every time we bring our girl there!

Great place for doggie fun.

The grounds are kept very clean. Unfortunately, there is not a fountain large enough that dogs can cool off in. There are a couple of watering stations though and water bowls for you to fill up. The dogs that come around are for the most part, well behaved. Overall, I have had a good experience with my two dogs, Hank and Bruce. Would have given 5 stars if there was a fountain for them.

Two great dog parks. Separate parks for large and small dogs. Lots of shade and sunny areas. No ponds but in Beaufort thats a good thing I think because of alligators. Clean fresh water easily accessible. There are a couple of picnic tables and quite a few plastic chairs. Neighborhood feels safe. The only other dog park I know of in the surrounding areas has a large pond and alligators have been seen there by people I know well.

There are two parts to the gated dog park which is very nice. The people were great and the dogs behaved nicely. The grounds are well kept and there is a water fountain for the dogs. My little 8 month puppy loved it there!

I think a dog park is a wonderful addition to the community. Overall, I like it very much! I do have a few suggestions. There are always plenty of waste bags available & we should all be mindful of removing the waste promptly. Its nice to socialize, but some of the waste gets left behind. I have also noticed the water fountains could flow better. Lastly a few more trees for shade & benches around the edge would provide a comfortable, enjoyable environment for all. Thank you for providing a place for us & our pets.

Though a lot of people dont pick up after themselves.. its a great place for one loved one to socialize.

Under developed park, the City of Beaufort has plans to develop Southside Park into a place for people of all ages to enjoy but the work has yet to be started on it. Some of the plans include walking paths in the woods that will have some small bridges crossing streams. Playgrounds for kids and even a fenced in dog park I believe.Right now it is mostly open land with paved U to drive around it. Southside park is still a nice place to go to let your dog run around and play catch.

Maintenance is very poor.. A number of large holes in the ground in the small dog area. I left Saturday after my dog fell while running.
