Its a nice trail, but it was a little muddy. There are some deep ruts that held water from the previous weeks rain. Saw a ton of frogs and other wildlife taking advantage of the puddles, but it made maneuvering the trail a little difficult. Also, make sure you bring some bug spray. Overall still a quiet and enjoyable hike.

This park has a fun trail to hike, though the temptation to go off trail to explore (and perhaps get lost) is strong. A little muddy, but not bad by south Louisiana standards at all. I would certainly wear long pants and use bug spray when hiking this trail in the summertime. The swamp views make it worth the hike.

I really want to like this MTB/hiking trail. The issue is it is not as popular or well maintained as Comite. I arrived at 10am on a Saturday and no one else was there. I had to run with a stick in my hand to knock down the 100s of spider webs crossing the path. It feels more shaded and rooted than Comite up the road. Also more moist. The trail itself is strenuous for runners or bikers. Just dont forget to bring the bug spray.

I feel like this was an area that was once beautiful, and then there was a flood. Now most of the trail is sunken in and its kind of a game to continue along the trail. There are also some areas with broken caution tape that make you question if you should be wandering around this marshy area. Our group of six still had a good time, but if you arent looking for collapsing trails, spider webs, snakes and caution tape you may want to venture elsewhere. ️

Fantastic trail, although fairly challenging to bike. Markers 5-9 were covered with roots and sections of the trail were eroded. Certainly left me quite sore the next morning. We did three miles as a scout troop, the first two miles took 30 minutes each, the last mile took 10 minutes we went clockwise from the parking lot

Excellent mountain biking option where there are no actual mountains. I wish there were more trail markings but thats okay. Minimally to moderately technical.

I am sure it will kick yours too ;).At location: there bike cleaning stations for you to be able to clean your bike with some tools.I was way to tired to beatup to venture further, but I will be back and this time I will take pics ;)

This is a fun little ride, just make sure your not the first to go down the trail. There are a ton of spider webs during the summer and spring. Also, bring bug spray as there are a ton of horse flies during the summer.

Went on the bike trail recently. There are parts of the trail that disappear and you are unable to tell where it goes. it is mainly the parts that are not in the wooded area. Dont be the first person on the trail, unless you like running into spider webs every 50 feet.
