First time ever to the park AND first ride on my new bike. Great trail system and I met some super nice locals on the trails. Highly recommend hitting it if your in the BR area.

Nice, easy trek, with view of the river but we could not get to the river without going through humongous and almost invisible spider webs with big fat spiders right in the middle...getting goose bumps just thinking about it but it was fun nonetheless.

Its a nice little trail. I wish in these hot summer months that they would be open to night riding.1¹

Best mountain biking in the BR area. Hardly ever flooded with some fun technical sections. Some annoying roots though.

We just moved to Louisiana, and were looking for a good park to get the kids out of the house and walk. Perfect park to be outdoors and chasing trails. The kids loved it too (6, and 10).

We hiked over comite river park a couple of times last year. Definitely recommend everyone to go! Great for hiking and biking, with various landscapes! Make sure you wear waterproof hiking boots because it may have some water ponds on your way if it has rained a couple days before, which is very common in Louisiana.

I went here because there were so many great reviews. We were using Google maps and it brought us to the middle of a neighborhood I’m in Google says park and you have to walk the rest of the way. We see a small fence so we decide to go right under we saw a little trail so we followed it. It lead to a ditch with trash and a bike tire. We decided to keep on going and found a electrical machine thing and in a little trailWe fall in the trial and it was just a bunch of trees and bugs it was complete silence then all of a sudden we hear her yell watch out it was a biker. I do not Recommend this trail. It be easier to drive a little bit farther for a good trail.

This is basically the only option around here. That being said, it’s pretty good. Nothing crazy technical or anything with big exertion. No big downhills although that’s to be expected in the South. Maybe like 3 spots where I gotta drop the seat. Great flow and a great workout. Do it twice!

Actually meant for bikers. Entrance is actually on the other side of the Comite River than Google maps shows.Great place to bring your pups, just make sure to hike in the opposite direction of the bikers. There are some shortcut trails, and I used those to make my own loop and stop by the beach with my dog. Still can get a bit confusing because there are lots of little cut through paths that arent on the map. Just keep in mind its actually a hiking trail.Make sure to get out of the way when there is a biker. They always thanked me for moving aside which leads me to believe not everyone moves for them. Because of this, and the fact that the trail is narrow, its not a great place for hiking with a group. But it was great for just me and my little dog! He really enjoyed the beach and even got in the water a little bit on his own!Overall great place, well kept up, and pretty well marked just harder to follow in the opposite direction

While its primarily advertised as a bike trail, I have found the trails in this park to be excellent for running. There are small, but steep hills and ravines. This terrain is tough for cycling but presents a good course for jogging, especially for South Louisianas usually flat terrain. Of course, the trail can get muddy after rains. Also, watch out for biting flies in the summer months. Restroom facilities are generally kept reasonably provisioned and cleaned. Overall, a great park.

We went here for a morning walk and found that this is a real good trail in the town!! You will have the trail feeling with little ups and downs.Though this place is not recommended on a rainy day, it is a nice place.Bikers will love this place as in the middle of the trail there is a bike playing area where you can try out a lot of jumps. We spotted couple of deers on the walk.Since it is more covered by trees and bushes you have to carry a stick to clear out the spider web in front of you. Otherwise it will be annoying!

A well marked and maintained trail; it has a fair mix of easy and technical areas. Many of the difficult sections are able to be bypassed on an easy alternate route which is clearly marked. The trail surface is mostly hardpack with a few sandy sections nearer the river. Lots of shade on sunny days so you stay cool, but if the clouds get thick it gets quite dark on the trails.Overall a great trail system.

Well maintained trail that accommodates hikers as well as bikes. Just follow the trail in the opposite direction, counterclockwise. Over 5 miles total so that makes it great for a longer outing.

Great 5 mile ride. Hilly, fairly technical, and a good workout. Take the connecting trail to the Hooper Rd trail and combined youll ride 11 miles over varied terrain including access to river beaches and swamps.

The trail isnt the best maintained, but still clearly obvious. Its not where Google maps says it is, so youll have to do some guess work on finding it. The river is more like a stream, and the hiking trail is very flat and repetitive

Another fun ride, it does take a beating when we get heavy rain so make sure you check to see if it is open if you plan on going out. The trail is about 5 miles and takes about 30-45 minutes to ride.

This is a nice 5 mile bike trail. The local bike club keeps it up well. Lots of small but steep hills to climb. It is a little intimidating the first few times through but you grow to like it more and more each time.
