Pretty big water park. The lazy river is a little too shallow. You can only go around once with the park provided tubes. And you have to ride in/on the tube. No free swimmers. The wave pool was being worked on and closed. It had some nasty brown stuff all in the shallow end and some workers were trying to suck some stuff out of the deep end. That’s kind of a disappointment. We came down from Jackson, MS with a Girl Scout troop. No way to get your group inside until all are there. Seems like you could have some sort of will call to help speed this part along. We read the lemonade was good so we got some. And yes it’s good. Cost 4 tickets (4 dollars). But seems reasonable for park food.

This place is really fun. Our kids are 12, 10, and 9, and they were able to enjoy all but one of the slides. (One slide has a 95 lb requirement, which our 9 year old didnt meet.)Lots and lots of shaded tables to enjoy for free. If you want to tan (or roast in the summer), there are plenty of lounging chairs as well. The food options are plentiful and not horribly priced. We left the park for lunch and had no trouble getting back into the parking lot ($5) or through the reentry line. There are lots of nice options for food nearby. We went to Zoes Kitchen, but there was also a Churchs Chicken, a burger joint, a marketplace with a deli, a sushi place, and a few other things.Theres also a Starbucks conveniently nearby for a java jolt on the way home.Youre allowed to bring water bottles into the park, so definitely take advantage of that. There are lots of trees to take shade under, but if youre prone to burning, definitely pack tons of sunscreen (Not the aerosol stuff-it doesnt last in the water. We know cuz we burned.).Tip: Theres a special right now wherein you bring an empty can of a Coca-Cola soda, and you get a $5 discount from your ticket. Take advantage of that!!!

Great water park, lots to do, fun for all ages. I went opening day this year, credit card machine was down but they got us through! Only recommendation is that they put some cover over the eye bolts sticking out of the ground in the first sled slide area. Food lines could use some assistance.

Look for local promotions before going.Large water park with amusement ride area. Lots of tall, long and fun water slides for all ages. A lazy river provides escape from the heat for the less daring. The Pirates Cove area is reserved for younger/smaller kids, with lots of play area, small slides and other areas with falling water. I hated the food ticket system (couldnt use cash/had to buy tickets). Was temporarily freaked out when I saw a lifeguard jump into the lazy river and pull out an upside-down child before realizing it was a drill -- which actually made me feel better about preparedness and training.Season passes are very reasonable, and there are frequent discounts/coupons available in the local market. Check those before paying full price. For a location where swim attire is the norm, it was a surprise to see a sign warning about expulsion if any undergarments where visible.

We Love our weekly trip to Blue Bayou!!! They are very accommodating and allow us to bring in fruit and veggies for us to have healthy snacks too! They have plenty of places to have lunch at and they staff are very friendly. I do wish that they had more bathrooms at the front of the park but that’s ok. My kid loves the rides and even said that he enjoys them almost as much as Disney rides;) the park is Very clean. The water is clean.

The park is great for adults and kids but nothing is perfect. Let me give the run down....make sure you have $5 cash for parking. Bring a coke can to get $5 off entry fee. It helps. The ground is rough as hell and blazing hot so make sure you have some type of swim shoes or flip flops or socks. Do not bring food or drinks in the park as they will check your bags and make you either throw it away or you can go bring it to your vehicle. They do allow bottles of water but nothing else. Instead of paying their food prices which really werent too bad at one place...put an ice chest in your trunk and fill it with drinks and sandwiches. The workers were attentive and the water slides are awesome. They have quite a few places for parents to take their little children too which was very nice. There+ is multiple lifeguards at every slide and swimming spot so if your teenager wants to wonder around with their friends...they will be fine. Overall a great trip with the family. If I can think of anything else Ill edit my post. Bring sunscreen!

Kids loved it, but not very pleasant for parents of middle-older kids who want to run around by themselves. I tried enjoying sone shade beneath a cypress tree on some lovely grass and was told by a lifeguard with a rather nasty attitude that the grass is off limits. Concrete and plastic furniture only for waiting parents. Parents have to pay full price whether they slide or not. For the high cost of admission, it would have been nice to have something to do--a lap pool for example, or some grass to sit and relax on without getting attitude from young men with power complexes. I should qualify that most of the lifeguards were nice, and the Pirates Cove play area is great for whole-family fun.

They checked the height of my 1 year old and it was good he was under the height or else I would have been paying $34.95 for him and he didnt ride a thing. Oh and there is a fee for parking...it is not complimentary!!!The rides were great..and they had a very good selection of rides for the kids too!!!!

The $20 thing is On Monday- Thursday. Any other day would have been $40. Everything there is very fun however the lazy river has a problem. If you want to get back in you have to get back in line and return your donut tube and sometimes they don’t have any. Other than that it’s a perfect water park. I definitely will be back :))

Terrible experience!!! Were from Baton Rouge and surly expected better!! My wife and I took our 9 year old son and his friend the day before Memorial Day. We expected it to be very crowded but it wasnt. What it was was very understaffed. The signs tell of being asked to leave if under garments are seen or foul language being used or not smoking except in a designated areas. What we encountered was something from a Jerry Springer Show!! 5 minutes into the place and we come across a half dozen women to teenage girls wearing thongs and less material then what you would expect at a strip club!! We seen armed private security guards who I wouldnt trust with having the knowledge or training to be carrying a weapon. We found emergency exits chained!! It doesnt appear as maintenance of the equipment is a priority either. All in all we would never recommend this place to anyone. Over $250 spent on food, parking and the tickets it seems more like a cash cow that they know is on fire and just trying to make as much money as they can before it burns down!!!

Overall, Blue Bayou is a really fun place with thrilling water slides and rides. However, we encountered some problems with a few of their “policies.” To explain further, we, 15 year old girls, could not find our mom. We walked around the park multiple times before seeking assistance. First, we went to the entrance of the park to see if they could open our locker, so we could get our phones to call our mom. They would not lend us a key because our mom had it. We were stuck with no money, no phones, and one of the girls did not even have her eyeglasses. We continued to walk around the park and eventually ended up in guest relations. We walked in and the people asked for our age. After we told them we were 15, they shunned us away and said they couldn’t help us due to their “policy” because we were too old and it wasn’t a medical emergency. We continued to walk around, and sought the help of a few lifeguards, many of whom, told us to return to guest relations. So, for the second time, we went back to guest relations. They apologized and said they could not do anything for us. We then, asked a few ladies to borrow their phones and we called a few family members. They called the park and guest relations finally decided to call our mom overhead, but they were very vocal about how we made them break their policy. After a hour and a half of searching, we asked a supervisor for help. Her name was Macey, and she was one of the only people who seemed to have any concern for our situation. She helped us search for our mom. Eventually we found her, and the rest of the day was spent worry free. Overall, we had a great time at Blue Bayou.

Staff is extremely rude and they don’t even really do their job! On one of the slides my son slid out the bottom of the raft and went under and the guard didn’t even flinch but son couldn’t get his footing and my husband is the one who ended up helping him while the guard watched. Throughout our time their my husband also helped scoop up two kids because no one was helping them get from under the water. The ones at the wave pool were on point and did their job well but the ones at the bottom of the slides were rude and didn’t pay attention. I love this park , their slides are unique but they need maintenance! One slide had holes in it, theirs some with patches, and the wooden stairs are rotted and uneven . If their staff had better regard for life and more friendly along with some maintenance to this place .... I’d return .... until then no thanks

Our race should be talked about from there employees in front of us. The kiddie rides employees acted like they didnt want to do there iob it was said directly in front of my children Why would you come an work this ride when you know that all the kids are gone to. Want to ride it. And that that employee can work it by f****** self since he started it up... An she was not gone to help him. She was just rude to. Cuss like that with kids around ages 2,4,6,9 yrs old. Things need to be worked on it is a family park an it seems as if all the white employees .seemed. to be related an friends .of the owner which i over heard them talking about ill never get fired cause im family an how she an her friends get paid more then the other employees due to being family. We had a blast at the park! We went on a Sunday open to close and it was very empty so no long lines for any thing! Only reason it didnt get 5 stars is the customer service. It sucked. The people working there were awful. Our food was fresh off the grill and ice cold. We waited 20 mins for it to be cooked and it was cold. And all of the workers were standing around doing nothing. they were not very smart either. We asked for cheese and chili on a hot dog and the guy looked at us as if we were speaking another language and we had to ask multipul times before he did it he just kept giving us a blank look. They also would not put cheese on our fries or give us cheese to dip them in telling us we had to walk to another place to buy cheese to dip the fries in. We spent $45 on lunch and it was a waste. We could have left the park and got something MUCH better and been treated better. At another food stand the teen working was very rude. All we asked for was 2 large drinks and a bottle of water. She set the first drink down and I turned to call my husband to come get one of the drinks. Then the girl asked me coke? To which I said yes coke. And she repeated coke again so I said yes. And she looked at me like I was a huge inconvenience to her. Then she said no we poured it already. Another person who I didnt speak to was holding the drink out on the other side of the machine where I could hardly see it. I apologized for the misunderstanding and took the drink. Then the girl rolled her eyes and mocked my apology. If you set one drink down I expect the other to be the same process not it being held out on the other side by a guy I didnt order with.

Working here this summer I would say was the worst experience for me and as my fellow co-workers would agree. The owner’s wife, Kathy Haynes, is the most rude, impolite, disrespectful woman I’ve ever met. I worked in the department that she had overseen and she didn’t care about us nor the well-being of the customers. She is also prejudice, she told her African Americans employees, including myself, that we were not allowed to have hair extensions at any point in the season. My point was that we work with money and it shouldn’t be a problem on how we wear our hair, and also the season flows into school time, so when school starts we aren’t allowed to even get our nails done. Kathy Haynes would disrespect any and all employees to not pay them what they have worked for. Today September 2, 2018 early this morning when I was placed into a food building maybe so a hour into me working she came to my station and accused me of having my phone with no evidence to proof that she had probable cause, and to make sure I didn’t have my phone in my pockets or anything she taps my head to make sure of it. Then the same day hours later I called in to my supervisors and told them I felt sick she accuse me of faking and told me if I didn’t come into work the following day, September 3rd that I will not be getting my bonus check. And may I just add that the park is infested with rodents. The break room where the co-workers are forced to sit and eat at have had many encounters with the rodents. They are in most of the big food buildings, and if you do try to make a difference and tell someone that has power they’ll just say, “You’re going to be fine” “It’s okay as long as they don’t bite you, you’re fine”, they seriously don’t care about the public and the food and the prices that are in the park are a ripoff. You waste your hard earned money to come to Blue Bayou then I feel sorry for you.

Solid water park, the slides are fun and relatively smooth. The wave pool is tiny. Not much landscaping put that dosent matter that much. Their looping slide is the tallest one on the world and is my favoriteThe dry rides arent that good though. The Gilbeaus Galaxy coaster was relocated from Pontitran Beach and a little uncomfortable. The Rajun Cajun is a boomerang coaster that is rough and knocks your head around on the safety bars beside your head. The best rode is the The Hot Shot. Its a drop ride that shoots you up 200ft and and shoots you back down faster than gravity. All the slides are waterslodes you can find at other places. Only downfall of the day was the ride attendants/life guards there was a few who stood out from the rest by going the extra mile with friendliness and help but most had an attitude that displayed they didnt want to be there and didnt care.

Good for a once a year event. The place is good for kids but the amount of high school kids is overwhelming.

Pretty great water park. Adorable and family friendly. Something for everyone of all ages. Food is decently priced and decent for park fare. Just wished they didnt close so early. Maybe staying open until close to sundown eould be nice. So be prepared...they close at 6.Positives: Military and Law Enforcement discounts available (50% off) & get your receipt stamped to return another day for free.

Fun for the day especially if your a local. A little run down, mostly cause its an older park but seems like they up keep it well.

Kinda dirty and gross but still fun. The amusement park rides are pretty sketchy (old and rickety) at least there are short lines and the food is pretty cheap

Horrible staff. Owner is so rude and the staff training is lacking. Never again will I waste money to go. Not worth it at all.

Life guards take their job seriously over here, just about every one of them didnt take their eyes off of their zone. Only thing that was disappointing were the storms that passed by closing the park momentarily, which is understandable. The week prior they also gave free vouchers to return the following week because of how bad the weather got. My advice is to check the weather for no rain at all to get the most out of your experience here.

Was a great day but they would not validate our tickets for the 2nd day because we brought Coke for the $5 off, they wanted $5 per tickets so my husband asked for the comes back and she said we dont give them back. Other than that we had a great time!

Went on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Hardly any lines. Friendly (though younger) & helpful staff. Chicken tenders were OK. Fries were good. Do not waste your money on the daiquiri. Get the wine or beer instead.

Fun, family friendly water park combined with regular theme park. Not very crowded on weekdays and lines rarely extend 30 minutes of wait time

While waiting for my 2 kids to ride the Jambalaya, I could hear the ride operators using several words of profanity in front of my children, badly enough I videoed them for over two minutes dropping F bombs left and right. I called for a supervisor, who called the manager of the ride operators, his name is Grant. He was apologetic but my kids commented to me that they dont want to go back. I told Grant I didnt want anything but was very disappointed.

Great Parks Lines Were Short, Ride Times Are Small . Waterpark Part Is Awesome except the all black waterslide The Thing Is All Rusted And Once you get to the top it moves around kinda scary. Other than that would definitely return.

I really thought the park was nice! The rides were great as well. However, the problem was that there were NO SIGNS at the park, concession stands, park entrance , the stand where the parking attendant stands to take your money to park or notices provided on their website that most of this park operates on CASH ONLY. One thing you shouldnt do is take cash to a waterpark! You are constantly leaving your things to ride the waterslides and you cant take stuff with you! Pay to park? CASH ONLY! Rent a Tube? CASH ONLY! Buy a Lemonade? TICKETS? WTH? YES! You have to go to another booth to buy tickets to buy a drink? We were able to use our debit card to pay our way in and at one of the restaurants located in the park for a fountain drink and a bottled water. I seriously doubt I will return to this park.
