The trails are lovely, easy strolls through gorgeous gardens. The pavilion overlooks the lake, and the wildflower fields attract loads of pollinators. We love visiting at different times to see all of the different flowers in bloom!

Wonderful and lovely place to stroll as well as to purchase some greenery! Its not a long stroll, but perfect to take kids on a walk to teach them the names of many varieties of trees, shrubs, and ferns. Its short enough that most children would be interested most of the way through. Its a beautiful venue for a wedding, too. The space is serene, the pavilion next to the pond is open, and there really would be so much natural beauty! I wish I had scheduled my wedding here, but my guest list was too long to be sure wed all fit. We wouldnt once it was all days and done. Maybe for another party!

Wonderful park, cool in the shade of the hundreds of trees even in full summer. The kids really love rolling down the hill and being able to run freely. Excellent educational and fun experience with several habitats represented and all plants and trees identified. Brought to us by LSU.

This space is a garden on Highland Rd, serving the Baton rouge community by offering a collection of plants established since the mid 20th century. The current status(August 2019) has an established ravine and pond, with the wildflower meadow in early stages of establishment.A definite destination for anyone that enjoys the outdoors.

Tucked away in a residential neighborhood this small arbretum is beautiful and quiet. There is a small pond with lots of turtles in spring and summer, a nice boardwalk surrounding the pond as well as a covered deck overlooking the water. The buildinngs are pretty but have never been open when I have been there. Have picknicked and hung out there walking around. Seldom anyone there so it is a great place to ponder, read and think.
