What a fantastic gem in the middle of the busy city. Nice walking trails, beautiful roses and great photo op with sunflowers and zinnias! Free to the public and dog friendly!

The Annual plant sale was fantastic with a huge variety of not only the super Plants but also a large variety of plants being studied for their ability to survive the local elements. This event was very well planned out and very well organized. All the Master Gardner’s were very knowledgeable as well as helpful. This location has lots to offer and even rents out their facilities for Weddings etc.

Great place to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful flowers and trees! Many others plants as well! They have about 4-5 different trails and have a map to show you the way around the property! Lots of signs that provided great information about the area and the plants. The gardens are beautiful and vast in the front. And it’s free which is great!

This is a great place on a day you have nothing else to do but stroll and get lost hiking around. You’ll pass along tangerine trees where you can stop and have a treat. Really cool.

We tried to take pictures of a few seniors before prom. The staff were very rude. We explained that we were following their rules from their website and from the gate sign. We were not professional photographers only parents. Staff said okay, but them came back with a security guard when we were getting in our vehicles to leave. Unprofessional and rude staff!!!!!! I was thinking of purchases tickets for an upcoming fundraising event event here. Not now!

What a fabulous place! Right in the middle of Baton Rouge. The staff is absolutely amazing and so helpful. I am not sure why that other reviewer said they were kicked out because they dont ever kick people out and they dont have security guards. This is a peaceful place to enjoy with your family. The walking trails are really neat and the flowers are always beautiful. We came and took pictures with no problems at all. I know the Rural Life Museum has a security guard. Maybe thats where she was.
