I love the views of the water and fishing with my dad. They have made great improvements on the park. Downside, no dogs allowed. My mom. Use to walk her dog there all the time but you no longer can.

Without knowing the history, (looks like an abandoned quarry) its an okay place. Not a whole lot to see or do when I went there, could have been because of covid 19 but I cannot imagine it was different even before, no swimming, signs posted say you cannot even touch the water knowingly. There are picnic tables though and kids play area and slide, thats a plus for just a weekend out with friends or family but because they are limited you might not be able to get a spot. Its okay not great but its Batavias and its been well kept.

I love taking the kayaks out here! It makes for a nice relaxing day. The only downside is it’s literally the only good place in Batavia to bring your dog on a walk and the park has for some reason banned pets.

This is another hidden gem of Batavia, NY and Genesee County. This hidden gem is a really great place to relax at with the sounds of Canada Geese and ducks, and being on the lookout for Amtrak trains. This is also a great place to go fishing at anytime of year. This a really, really great place to go hiking at and has the most trails in all of Batavia. Be sure too to spot put any red tailed hawks and Bald Eagles there at the park.

Great place to come and picnic, play, run, walk, fish, kayak, canoe, RC boat or even catch a train go by. No swimming though. There are three pavilions, 1 large, 1 midsize and one picnic table size one. The path around the pond is a little over a mile.

I absolutely love going to this park, its great for small scale fishing (especially for young children) and there is a trail around the lake. I love going there and just relaxing by the pond. However, swimming is strictly prohibited due to a strong current. It is great for picnics and they have grills. You must take your own garbage with you when you leave. Its a great place to relax, unwind, and connect with nature.

Nice park to have lunch at. However boat launch area is too cramped with nowhere really to park your trailer. Too many signs, some contradict them selves. Need a larger parking lot near water. Pond is great for fishing but youll want a boat or kayak for best results. Park should open earlier in the Spring.

This was a beautiful place. Until it became an official park. They cut down 70% of the trees. Paved or put gravel over ~30% of the former small growth cover, flowers, bushes and such. I used to see tons of beautiful birds. Most recently they bulldozed an entire rolling meadow full of aforementioned small growth, and now its just barren. They FILLED IN what used to be a shallow pond filled with waterfowl, to make a track for people that dont want to walk ON THE TRAIL. Now the people that walk there complain about getting chased by geese. lol. What they did here was the real life version of paving paradise to put up a parking lot. In the 90s, this place was a hidden gem of Batavia, with shady glens, hidden trails, and tons of private nook beaches, to fish or read a book. Thats all gone now, and it looks like your generic town park. With a lake.
