Lovely park with river views. I set up a blanket in a sunny field with my pup send enjoyed the sunny afternoon. Nice people and nice dogs!

Great place to walk, dog friendly (with dog park included) picnic area, rest rooms plenty of space to just lay in the grass to enjoy the sunshine or lie in the shade, tubing and kayaking as well

Great park! Rolling hills reminds me of the surrounding mountains. Feels a bit old at times. Like were on the outskirts of town. I felt a bit unsafe at times. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

Well kept, river view

Great park for walking, running, biking, picnics, etc. It also has facilities for several sports, and a playground for kids. Check it out - its big and runs parallel to Amboy Rd. and the French Broad River for quite a distance. Your tax dollars are spent wisely here to provide this fine park.

The park needs more care, not just cutting the grass. The river bank needs more access for those who enjoy to get their feet wet

Good place to walk, really need the drug issues in area cleaned up

Love this park for so many reasons. We have been coming here since my daughter was little and it is still a favorite spot for our family.

Good place to start a tubing adventure! Starting from here, you get to the bywater bar in about two hours.

This is a great park, with ample space and options to keep everyone happy. The only issue is that whenever theres a heavy rain, the entire park floods.

Nice as far as taking a walk or for running your dog. Other than that its sorta kinda lame. Just my opinion, your opinion might be different.

Nice park with a bike trail connecting to Carrier Park. As others have mentioned, the downside is flooding when the French Broad river is up after too much rain.

I always enjoy relaxing at this spot

Many off leash dogs even though there are signs posted everywhere to keep them on a leash at all times.There is always broken glass everywhere which makes it dangerous for dogs to walk in the grass.Not enough pet clean up stations around the park (only one at the entrance and one inside the off-leash area). If you’re across the park, good luck finding bags.The park is right beside a septic facility so it smells terrible most of the time.The dog park is always a mud pit.Besides all of that, it makes for a decent walk on the path and connects to 2 other parks but I wish those negatives would be addressed (especially the dangerous broken glass).

Well maintained wide paved roads. Plenty of grassy areas and can walk to next park where there are trash cans with recycling and eating areas.
