Personally I found the Watermelon Polo Bowl a waste of money. It sounds like you will get a good value for $40, however it really is just 4 $10 drinks serving wise - would not recommend. The craft cocktails taste nice but I question if there is any alcohol in them. We ordered the wings which actually were surprisingly good. While expected, a lot of the games are paid games however keep in mind that darts, board/card games, and jenga are free. Personally speaking, I would go back only for a cheap beer and the free games. It was the first day they reopened, but still they should know not to overcharge on drinks especially during a pandemic when they have lessened business.

Funky, cool and just plain awesome! This is the perfect place if you want to chill, have a fun happy hour or even throw a private event. Its much bigger than it looks, featuring 3 levels. More of a chill atmosphere on level 1 & 2. Level 3 is more social with a large bar area and plenty of games.. I mean like a full bowling alley, darts, board games, vintage arcade cabinets and 4-on-4 foosball! Also the food, drinks and friendly service are pretty spot on as well. Lots of tasty menu options to choose from. This place certainly executes well on that cool, hipster vibe their going for. Ill be coming back often.

Nice ambience and decor. Other than that everything is quite overpriced compared to similar places in the area or DC. They want $12 to play a game of foosball... Game selection is quite poor and aracade is more or less 3-4 old pinball machines with a few random machines in wierd corners of the place. Overall maybe worth a visit with a medium sized group if youre looking for a normal bar.

We’ve got 4 bars, a scratch-to-craft restaurant and ridiculous entertainment options such as: mini and full-size bowling, karaoke, ping-pong, wall scrabble, and old school arcade games. Well Im sorry to say this place needs help. Theyve been open since December. First thing happened I walked in, and Hey guy approached me. He had no name tag no uniform nothing to say that he worked for that company Oh, I thought some dude was just coming up and approaching me. I had to literally ask him do you work here. it was kind of hard to find in the for never having been there before Oh, I used to go to Baileys, its just a completely different looking space now so I think thats great. But finding punch bowl social wasnt perfectly easy. They have no pool tables, with all that space you would think they wouldnt have a couple pool tables. Then I went to the bathroom. Apparently the lock on the bathroom is broken. The solution for this brand new establishment, whats to take a label maker and put a label stating that the lock was broken. I saw another label somewhere else that also stated something was not working. Maybe they should get rid of the label maker and find some competent workers who are willing to fix the things that are broken and not just make a label. and finally since it is a brand-new establishment, you would think the bathroom toilet seat would also be relatively well secured to the commode. Im so glad they have a bathroom, but I almost did a somersault off the toilet cuz the seat was loose, I couldnt lock the door because theres a label maker label telling me that its broken, I dont know if Ill ever go back. Its a very pretty space though I must admit theyve really done a good job with the decorations. The bar looks clean, but the infrastructure is beat.

Good food and cool atmosphere on a Wednesday night. I made a reservation for a party of five, but fyi if you make a reservation, you are kind of cornered off away from where all the games and main bar are. There are tables where they serve food where all the fun is to be had but these are first come first serve. Games are also first come first serve, but there are actually people who have lanes reserved until specific times, and waitlists, etc. Confused? You aren’t alone. They need to rethink their system for this, other than that an awesome place to hang with friends!

I only discovered this place recently and I love it! There are very few places that can balance a family friendly atmosphere and a fun youthful bar culture. It has darts, bowling, an arcade, table tennis and a bunch more. And I havent even mentioned the punch bowls which are very tasty! Things are on the more pricey side but most things in the area tend to be that way, and you get what you pay for

It was okay at best. The place was very overcrowded with long wait times. Diversity in music was minimal. At least it we have to wait 2-3 hours to bowl and wait on food give us diversity. The food wasnt good at all. We waited for about 1.5 hours for the orders to be partially correct. They charged food on my card that should not have been there. The issue was resolved however, I probably wouldnt go back. Management was courteous but its not a place I would spend anymore of.my Saturdays.

Average place. Nothing special here.I recently moved here in Ballston and first heard about Punch Bowl from people living on my floor. Also I always walk by here and note its fun name. I decided to swing by a few weekends ago with some friends. It was around 11:30pm when we walked in and there was a handful of people in there. With multiple floors, it connects to Ballston Quarter mall which is really nice. They have a bunch of games like ping pong, bowling, cards, Jenga, and other fun stuff. Also an outdoor area for people to mingle and socialize. We didnt stay too long as we just wanted to check the place out. Most people hang out on the upper levels.I see it as a casual spot to come and hang it with friends. Great for happy hour, a weekend activity during the day time, or a great pregame spot. Not so much for actually going out. Thats what Clarendon and dc are for :)I also came here for brunch with another group of friends a few weeks later. I ordered the chicken tacos (pictured). These were ok. The chicken was dry and they gave 3 small tacos. I was expecting larger ones. I like the ambiance but other than that, the food is meh. Seems like they pride themselves in their social environment and not so much their meals. Service was also pretty standard. So 3 stars from me. As a foodie, food is the one thing that trumps over everything else. So if its not amazing or anything, Ill rate the spot accordingly.

Doug was friendly and a pleasure to chit chat with regarding PB it’s history locations etc. He was very accommodating made sure our food was good and on point -my Daiquiri was delish! Second time around has been trying; bartenders play like they don’t hear or see you and when I finally input my food order with clear instructions to modify for vegan, she ignored it all and brought guacamole with cheese sprinkled over top. Its not that good. Poor execution on what reads as a nice menu. Watched a server eat a French fry from a plate before running it to a table. Im not even kidding. Watched our food sit and get cold while our server passed by several times. Listened to staff yell across the dining room to say they were out of something. Received a salad that was supposed to have chicken, but was told that chicken was optional... And it was not. There two tiny pieces were mixed into the salad. At least they made good on it and took it off the check. Avocado toast is really bad. Bread was not Toasted and is half a ciabatta sub roll. Scrambled eggs were unseasoned. Might as well have been airplane eggs. Gross. Not coming back here for food. Maybe for games and drinks, but not the food.

Good service (although, tough to tell who was a employee vs. hipster just trying to chill) though it seemed like everyone was still trying to find their stride as there were redundant people bumping into each other. The venue is enormous and has tons of potential for events, happy hours or somewhere to just hang after work. The food was ‘good’ not great. I went for a Brunch and it was above par food for the price. Prob a better dinner spot. One worrisome sign was i found something in my food (yuck) where they comped meal and a gift card. Manager was apologetic and made up for it. But yuck. (It was a hair). On venue. Very chic. I didn’t play games but looked cool. I do wonder if on even moderately busy nights that the games would be taken. Also, I would have added a few additional bowling lanes (if possible).Overall. Cool spot. Fun place with a fun menu. The whole place is HUGE with multiple floors. Saw lots of people enjoying happy hour on a Friday evening at the bar, but the restaurant areas were quieter for catching up with a friend so its a good balance (Im sure it gets louder in the evenings and weekends). Its a bit pricey in my opinion - at happy hour I ordered off the Happy Hour menu and got one cocktail, an order of wings (about 5 wings included I think), and two tiny baby tacos and my bill was over $30 - but for Arlington in general thats mostly expected and it does have a fun atmosphere.

Although the food and the drink were satisfying, I ultimately was very unhappy with my experience at punch bowl. I bought nachos and a drink upstairs and asked if I needed to close out to move to a lower level and they said no, so I left my tab open. I then ordered a drink downstairs and they said they would like to see my card again, so I gave it to them. When I closed out, my first drink was not charged to my bill so I alerted the bartender, who then said, for being so honest, that drink is on us. I then tipped him the cost of my drink. Later, I looked at my bill and I was charged twice for one bill and a third bill appeared as well with the missing drink. I called them, thinking if I gave my credit card information they would quickly remove the additional charges. After at least two calls with someone from management and multiple texts back and forth, I have given up. I will not be returning.

On the second floor, one bathroom was temporarily closed for maintenance while other one reeked. They smelled like urine, there was urine in the floors, no paper towel, and a small roll of paper toilet. But, I havent even gotten to the worst part... the price of the drinks. I got Moscow mules and paid $28 per Moscow mule. Ingredients: mezcal, ginger beer, and ice. This is the most ridiculous pricing I have seen in this area. Will not be going back at these rates.

Horrible service. Service past has three times and did not address if you wanted a menu or a drink weighted for at least 15 minutes

Agree with most of the reviews, its a great space with a lot of potential. Its only been open a little over a month but a lot of things need to be fixed for it to live up to its potential. First and foremost the service is incredibly slow. It is more the wait staff than the kitchen. Our waitress never really checked on us. Got drink orders which took a long time to arrive, then once our food arrived, never came back to see if we needed anything, including more drinks. When we found her and ordered more drinks some didnt arrive, including water. Willing to try again but not sure how I will feel once other places open in the area. I like the concept of the place, so hopefully they fix things so it survives.

I really only went to play pinball. It took a while to find them (3rd floor arcade). They really need signage on the first floor to tell people where everything is and on what floor. The place was a zoo and super busy. Fortunately I got a seat at the bar in the diner area (3rd floor). The rosemary fries were pretty tasty. They have their own craft sodas, so I had a root beer.As for pinball, they only have three machines and one was broken. You have to get a game card and load up money on it. Pinball is $1.00 a play.

Service is slow because the place is so big. Food is okay, but not worth the high price. Didnt have most of the drinks we tried to order so I cant say much about them.

The high prices of the food dont justify the quality. Nachos were salty, falafel burger was dry, punch bowls were okay, and baked Mac and cheese was the worst. Its a fun place to hang out with friends and play some board games as long as you stick to drinks only. Also, we waitlisted ourselves for bowling but never received a text for our chance in spite of being told that it would take about 30 min.

Great place to hangout! A fun evening with, games, drinks and friends! Social playground for adults. Three levels of fun!
