A beautiful spot to hike. Many trails and I am loving it here

Love it great for those of you who like nature. Has long distance trails for long walks or running. My kids loved it. Fishing is allowed too!

You probably have to look out for certain creatures but outside of that great place to walk! I saw people fishing, everyone was very friendly on the path. You can take some great photos out there! They have parking and rest stops.

Not bad for being located in Antioch. There are some nice hiking trails away from the water.

Contra Loma park is a great place to picnic, fish ,and walk around the lake.

Nice regional park in Antioch. Located right next to Black Diamond Mines which is also a nice park. Wish there was more shady areas but the lake is nice to walk around. Fishing wasn’t good due to too much algae but maybe better in spring/fall?

Last of the large open spaces in AntiochThere are some caves and ponds. Some steep trails will build your cardio. Sometimes the cows will stay in their spot and you can walk by them closely. In the winter and spring the hills are an emerald green. I saw many hawks hovering against the wind currents. Sometimes you can spot a coyote or bobcat.

Goid place to get a good excerize in. Restroom locked as of now. They are doing a more responsible job keeping the parking lots safer for gp.

I was just here for a race, i saw some other hikers also. Its a pretty place. Lots of rolling hills, some shade areas. Lots of bathrooms, and they are clean and stocked really well. It looks different than the other easy bay parks, just organization seems different, but good. Great views of the surrounding areas. 5 stars for the bathrooms, views are nice bit not spectacular, good to see once or twice, if youre into hiking, this is a great spot. I didnt notice barbecues, but i think i saw a couple. Its a good place, check it out if you are in the area.

Place cool for family fun!

Beautiful views with a very large pool. Lots of fishermen and there are paved walking paths along the shore. Some of the grasses have thorns that our young son tripped into, but otherwise it was a lovely afternoon. We saw birds and squirrels and there were plenty of shaded picnic tables. It was $5 per car to enter.

This is a great park. Weather is usually nice, the Parks staff is incredible and the terrain is as easy or hard as you want. Nice stroll around the lake for all levels of hikers. Pet friendly on leash. Great for hikers and Equestrians. Perfect trail head for Black Diamond trails as well.

It was a great walk! Most trails are stroller friendly and gives you a good workout for a family trail.

Nice park and very local, which of great. Many miles of hiking and biking. Parking is free outside the gate, which is plenty. Five dollars to park inside for picnic, etc. No, go play outside.

A beautiful oasis away from the urban sprawl. The walk around the lake is short but very pleasant with views of the hills , lake , and city with the delta beyond in the distance.The park offers a swimming pool in the summer, boating and fishing. Check the east bay parks website for boating restrictions.Tons of wonderful trails to the west and north will take you into the Black Diamond mines park, and the Mt. Diablo foothills. My daughters and I have hiked from here to Clayton, a wonderful hike.Bottom line, Go check it out, a nice place to decompress.

I really like this place the regional Park staff is friendly, lots of dog walkers Ive brought my dog here for a walk around the entire park, they allow fishing, they have a seasonal swimming pool, etc. Despite what they have its a nice place to go to and relax, do work, play with your dog on a leash of course, bring kids or little siblings to play with their bikes. Just all around a good place to go to!

Nice 7 mile loop on Stewartville, Ridge, and Old Homestead back to parking lot. Most of the vegetation is very thirsty!

This park is beautiful in all the season of the year. Its amazing how you can have fun in a place like that. My dog and I always have good walk and great pictures like this one.

God I love this place. Its great for dogs and fishing. There are trails that go all the way to Black Diamond Mines & Believe It OR Not. Theres a trail that takes you all the way to Mt. Wonderful little place. It was quiet and relaxing.

Peaceful and quite, less people, bathroom provided with tissue. Thanks and shout out to the park people, for letting our group borrow the barbecue grill with its gas tank. Since its No Smoking season, all we have are charcoal grills . Thanks for caring our parks, for watching closely and by just educating people to do the right thing.

The kids love it. The homeless are there but they are very respectful. The park is beautiful and has giant fig trees.

While the view was nice the pool was not my cup of tea. It is pretty good for little kids but adults should just stick to the beach

Been coming here for years. Nice place for everything liked hiking, chillin and bbqn. Lots of open space. Trees everywhere. Theres a swim lagoon with life guards.

A great local regional park where you can have a nice stroll around the lake or have a fun bbq with friends and family at the numerous picnic tables scattered around the park. The park is well kept and clean, good job rangers! I’ve always only met the friendliest of people when I come here. It’s dog friendly, but make sure to take poop bags with you to clean up after your dog. In the fall time to trees around the lake turn a beautiful array of colors! There are also many hiking trails around the lake, most are beginner friendly!

I love Walking around the reservoir lake . The trail goes all the way around the lake and there are some benches on the northern side of the lake as well theres pickwick tables on the Eastern side. The view of the Antioch Delta and the Antioch Bridge is best seen by going up the hill trail on the western just pass the volleyball court. The parking fee is $5.00 so try to park at James Dolan softball fields free and you can walk up the paved path up the hill.

There is nothing I dislike about tbis park at all. Been bringing my dog here for 10.5 of his 11.5yrs to walk. Wouldve been his life had I known about it.

Probably the best thing in Antioch. Lots of trails, a reasonable amount of shade and a nice man made lagoon. Our kids had fun chasing the ground squirrels, lizards and wild turkeys. Also plenty of friendly people doing the loop for their morning exercise.

Other than it raining and being a lil cold it was nice and peaceful out there.

Amazing walking along the lake or you can continue into Black Diamond park. Because they have a slip for boats and a community pool, you have to pay to enter through the main gates.All you have to do is just walk in from the the baseball fields and your good to go.

It is beautiful there and I really enjoyed going with my kids. We also watched a baseball game there and we loved it. Everyone is willing to come back again and again and again.

Good lake to land a trophy largemouth bass. Also has crappie, bluegill, rainbow trout and catfish. Trout and catfish are stocked periodically. Also has large grass areas with bbqs and picnic tables. There is a big swimming pool too. Great place to fish, walk/jog around the lake or for a family outing.

Excellent park for family reunions or barbecue, or just a personal small get together BBQ or picnic. If you have a small row boat or electric motor boat. A nice lake to go out fishing on , or fishing from the bank. Nice swimming pool to refresh yourself on a hot summer day. Nice Trail around the lake if you want to go for a hike. They also have horseshoe bins. Theres no playground for the kids though. And theres no alcohol allowed. Entrance fees, boat launch fees, fishing permit fees, and swimming pool entrance fees are at a good price

We went on August 14, 2019.Paid $5 for parking and $3 each adult in the pool. We didnt have to pay for the baby. You will see a big sign before the entrance to make sure the pool is open. We have to leave the pool at 5:45 pm.

It is kind of like an oasis in the summer. Although you arent allowed to swim in the lake, there is a pool inside thr park. Amenities include picnic areas with picnic tables and grills, hiking trails and more.

This is a beautiful park! We like to go walking here, but I recently reserved a couple of sites for my grandmothers 100th birthday and it was a HIT. Antioch has quite a few hidden gems that really arent hidden. Come on out and explore

First time here! Great park with lots of picnic tables! Pool was available and not crowded! Great venue for a family get-together!
