Refrshing, cool, and fun ride. My favorite part is the big drop. Its not too big so its good for kids too. I really have a lot of fun on this ride. You feel like your in the movie and it feels very exciting. Lots going on around you, and you will be entertained. ACTION/ THRILLING ride for people of all ages to enjoy.

This ride has so much great memories attached to it. It was so much fun as a kid going on it and now as an adult it’s still as much fun. Yes they have made changes to it but for me none of it takes away from the joy that I get when I’m on this ride. The lines can be long so I always go early in the day or late right before I leave.

Best ride in Disneyland hands down! Even with all the changes Disney has had to make to the ride it’s still iconic and your Disney trip isn’t complete without going on this ride at least 17 times. No fast passes on this ride so plan to wait in line though it’s not a long wait. If you lucky sometimes Capt jack walks around the area and will take pictures with you and the kids.

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was the last ride that was overseen by Walt Disney but never got the chance to see the completion of the ride. He died 3 months before the ride opened to the public. If you are tired from walking all over the park and just want to sit down and relax, this ride is for you. Not only it is a long ride but it is also a cool ride to get out of the warm weather. This is a boat ride with 12-15 people. You start off by traveling down the blue bayou as you pass by the one of the Disney restaurants where people are eating. Once you pass by the restaurant, the excitement starts. It starts off with a steep but short drop down followed by another small drop. With both drops you have the chances of getting wet from the water. Once you complete the drops, you end up traveling between two pirates ships firing their cannons and guns at each other which some shots will land near your boat. After the Pirates ships, you travel through the town where you will see Pirates having a good time drinking, dancing and firing their guns at one another. It is very amusing to see! There is a section where you will see women being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Make sure you take a picture of it as it will be replaced or removed soon due to complaints from visitors. At end of the ride, you will see Johnny Depps character Jack Sparrow from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean which was recently added ln the recent years.

This was my favorite ride at the park. I’ve been going to Disney World for well over twenty years and I always make it a priority to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean. This was the first time that I have ever visited Disneyland. I was excited to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland and it is a much better ride. I think it’s also a longer ride. I like the drops and the longer intro. I think Jack Sparrow looked a little off but it was still a great ride. I’m glad that I got to experience this ride.

Pirates is a great dark ride. I like the differences between Disneyland and Disney World. This Pirates is longer than the one in Disney World and has far more scenes in the ride itself. It also has more drops and some areas that the boat definitely moves faster. I especially like the cannon room and going through the burning wreckage.I apologize for the bad photos. Due to the low light my shutter speed would not increase.

Quite possibly Disney’s most ambitious ride ever made, for its time. After all these years it still offers laughs and thrills. It is totally immersive, with every detail being meticulously thought out, rehearsed, and designed by WED. My favorite thing is the sensation you get during the totally dark plunge you take near the beginning of the ride... there is really nothing quite like it!

-- NO Fastpass available for this ride. --Though policatilly correct Pirates seem a contradiction, Disney has managed to lessen what those issues supposedly were and still keep it one of the best rides of the Park. The lush sceneries have remained impressive, and so have the manequins themselves. Its also one of the longest rides, and worth the wait -- though lines are long, they do move at a good pace, making them less irritating than others, and helping to keep ones momentum throughout the day of queues.

One of the all time great rides at Disney. The constant long lines are annoying, but the wait is worth it as this is a fairly long ride, and tells a great story. Its also refreshing to get inside away from the heat, and with the amount of water in this ride, the building is generally quite cool and refreshing. Over the years changes have been made to the ride, some good, some bad, but overall, this is still a very enjoyable ride.

One of the great classic attractions at the park! Ive ridden it since I was a little boy and will honestly never get tired of it! The pacing and atmosphere are just perfect as you go through a quiet swamp with the Blue Bayou restaurant on your right, through a series of caverns filled with treasure, and then the climax with the pirates and townsfolk in the last half. The two drops and talking skull before them are unforgettable and a whole lot of fun as well! The only minor nitpick I have is that theres quite a bit of traffic at the end with all the boats bumping into one another, but its not a big deal I guess. What can I say that hasnt already been said? It is quite simply a nostalgic gem.

Love the Pirates of the Caribbean. It is interesting how it differs than the one in Florida. In Anheim, they start off by taking you in a boat by a restaurant. Then the fun begins. The line goes relatively quickly, but I would suggest going on this ride later in the evening when there is little to no line. Theyve added Captain Jack (Johnny Depp), which is fun. They no longer bid on women, they now bid on hens. This ride is also longer than the one in Florida with some extra scenes. This is a must-see, classic ride.

I grew up going on the Disney World version and it was always one of my favorite rides in the park. I was finally able to visit Disneyland for the first time last year and when I heard that their version of Pirates was better, I was a little skeptical. They were not wrong. This version of Pirates is much longer, with an extended beginning scene that takes you past the inside of the Blue Bayou restaurant. There are two small drops instead of one, so keep that in mind if you are not a fan of even the most mildest of thrills. More pirate scenes and more fun overall. Dont skip this ride if you can help it!

We love this ride - its such a classic. Its usually not that crowded - we often go and it has a 5-10 minute wait. The waterfall is fun and the scenes are amazing for how old they are. Its funny and cool at the same time. The effects are pretty good and the music is the best. You ride on a boat for about 7 minutes through various scenes. (indoors with simulated outdoor vignettes). When the movies with Johnny Depp came out, they added in some new stuff - I think the Depp character (Jack Sparrow ) is in 3 scenes. Its fun and out favorite scenes are the storm, the cannon fight, the fire, the prison and the auction. I consider this one of the must rides in MK when we go

First and foremost this ride can move people, so even a wait time of 30 minutes ends up being less than that. POTC has such ambiance and stimulates multiple senses (like pumping in air that has a seawater like aroma). It is both relaxing and, with a couple of slight drops, exciting.I do not mind the changes that they made at all, and the addition of Captain Jack and Captain Barbossa only add to the charm of the ride. I will never get tired of riding it and we rode on it 4 times in the 2 days we were at the park.
