Good park, playground, forest access, water park in summer, big fields, Rec center, tennis courts, baseball fields, volley ball courts, usually a good crowd of kids, theater and playhouse, good for walking your kids and seeing some nature. Just a really nice place that they work hard to keep nice. Recommended. Only thing I miss is the fireworks they used to do years ago.

Great local free place to take the kids. We went a week ago for the first time, and it’s been all my 3yr old talks about. The play ground is different then I’ve ever seen. The older side of it, challenges you to try new skills and think. The splash pad is a nice touch for a hot summer cool down from running around playing. Be sure to bring water shoes for the kids. It would be nice to see some kind of food truck or something to purchase from so parents don’t have to bring so much stuff with them with so many kids. But over all it’s a great all day experience.

Have been using the Lee district rec center weight room for over 12 years. It is smaller in size than south run rec but in 2019 it is usually not very crowded. It is a great place for older adults like me to get fit. The classes my family and I have taken are of high quality. This center has a preschool, operates teacher workday programs, drop in exercise programs as well as many exercise, dance and skill development classes for adults and children. Inside, there is a gym with dance/exercise classrooms and an Olympic pool. Outside there is a spray park designed to assist children with disabilities. There are a number of ball fields and tennis courts. There is an amphitheater where concerts take place in the summer. There are a number of walking trails, and a treehouse.

I’ve been coming here for years and they’ve always gone above and beyond for the community from people at the front desk to the managers. Josh the park manager personally came outside in 100 degree weather to help jumpstart my vehicle with his cables when the battery was dead. I really appreciate the staff’s kindness and highly recommend this rec center to those who haven’t been.

We went for the splash pad, which we found out was closed when we got there. It said it was open on the website. That was disappointing. So we played at the playground, which was extremely busy. It was hard to keep track of all three of my kids. We LOVED the nature walk. It was shaded and not too long for my 2 year old to walk.

***Warning about making reservations at this location***I wanted to reserve the soft play room for my sons birthday. I specifically called last month to see if I could at that time and they yes, to come in. I came in and they told me I could not schedule until the next month. I came in the next month and they told me I still could not do it.So, I suppose my suggestion would be to get independent confirmation before making a trip out there. They really need to train their staff better.

I like this place A LOT my only draw back is we signed up for a class prior to signing up we were never told about how they refund so I have almost $200 credit on the account there so it was never refunded back to my card. Anyways, i was notified less than week that the class was canceled due to low enrolled, whatever... but looking for another class is a absolute nightmare. We were told that most winter classes are canceled due to low enrollment. I feel like then dont offer all those no end programs. Its sad. Probably will end up having him take a swim class just to use my hard earn money which is now just a voucher... sigh

I was there for Sunday night sand volleyball meet-up and the courts are amazing. Lights until 11pm and somehow on a third straight day of sunny 90+ degrees weather, the samdvat 5 pm wasnt even hot. The fences and extra sand around boundaries make these tournament quality courts. The nets are VERY tight... Lots of rebound! The water park here is great, too.

The new spray-ground is very nice and well maintained. Just keep an eye on your kids because that re-circulated water isnt the best for them to be drinking. The fully accessible playground is beautiful. My daughter did a dance class when she was about 4, but it was very much organized chaos. Possibly what youd expect from a class with that age group, but she could do that for free on the playground.

We love Lee District Rec center. The classes are reasonably priced. Nice pool and generally clean locker rooms. The splash park is amazing but only open during the summer and its packed. Show up first thing or a couple hours before closing to avoid a line for the splash park. Theres also an indoor soft play room, but call first is frequently closed for parties.

Great place. Small water park for the kiddies. Free to the public (Fairfax county residents, I think, but nobody asked). Has a regular playground all year and splash park in the summer. No standing water/pools, but lots of fountains and sprinklers. You can bring snacks for picnicking. Restrooms are available. Nice shaded areas.Come early, it gets busy quick.

Maybe one of the best parks in the county system. Large, indoor rec center with pool and courts, several large outdoor fields for soccer/football and baseball too I think, four outdoor tennis courts with lights, two two-sided tennis practice walls, and an outdoor family pool mainly for small kids.

Were doing swim lessons for our daughter, where there is a very big pool that is not over crowded when the lesson is going on. Looks clean in and around the pool, and the locker room looks clean, as well. The staff so far is very friendly and helpful, and our swim instructor, Ashley, is very nice and great with the kids. There are also dance and many other types of classes for kids and adults, check out the RECenter website. Later this summer I plan to sign up our daughter for soccer lessons here.

I have been playing racquetball at Lee District Rec Center for a while now. And I like the facilities. Im partial to all of the kids, yelling, and playing in the hallways but I get over it. The racquetball courts are in good shape. We just need a daily mopping because they do get slippery at times. Although, my last visit, the courts were actually great! The staff is awesome. There is one staff member whos understanding the need for racquetball and is working with one of our team members to promote the racquetball at the club. So overall, I think I am going to continue playing at Lee District
