I enjoyed watching Shoplifters an indie film from Japan. This is an old theater split into multiple screens. The Landmark Albany Twin is part of the Landmark chain. Parking was easy and seating was a snap. It only cost $9.00 for the movie. Ill be back.

Not the nicest or most comfortable, but definitely the best snack bar and the best movies.

Was very surprised and happy that the theater has its own parking lot in back of the building. Solano Ave parking is always challenging .

Love landmark theatres! However, Im docking them a star because they store their fresh popcorn in an unheated display window instead of the popper. Yes, I am a popcorn purist!

Beautiful old fashioned theater. Clean charming and the wonderful crepe restaurant we ate at; Crepe Suzette, made the day complete. Im going back for the Albany Film Festival again next year!!! Loved my day in Albany...what a sweet little town. Thanks Maryanne.

We went to watch The Aeronauts and that was our visit of this local theater. It has only two big screens. I felt the seat was bigger and more comfortable than the ones in Century or AMC.

Smaller theater with 3-4 movies. Easy street parking though might need to park at a meter, depending upon time of day. Tend to show artsy films.

Really nice older (read that as spacious) theater! Free parking (when lot isnt full) behind theater. Super friendly staff and the most awesome buttered popcorn! Lots of capacity and plenty of good seats!

The Albany Twin is quaint theater that hosts a lively movie-going community. I saw Brooklyn there a couple of years ago and many of the audience members were all greeting each other and catching up. Later, I overheard the people behind me talking about the book on which the movie was based, and I got some great advice on things to read. You dont expect that kind of welcome at the movies. It just seems natural at Albany Twin. Ive been back since and look forward to my next visit.

Nice old theater in a cute community. Large venue and they normally show Indie movies which is wonderful. Decent snack bar, but save room for after the movie because the town has great food restaurants and options. Friendly staff is a plus.

Adorable small theatre! Went to watch Call Me By My Name, a scarcely available independent film. Comfortable seats, good popcorn. Hardly packed for a Saturday night, which is good for me but hopefully not bad for business. Great neighborhood: stopped by new modern gift shop Morningtide, Hals Coffee for tea, got my nails done all before the 7 PM showing.

Love this local art house theatre! They feature a variety of indie, classic, avant garde, & short films. Recently, I went to see the rockumentary Satan & Adam during the Albany Intl Film Fest. I came back a few weeks later to see Gloria. Great location in downtown closeby many eateries & cafes. Bonus: They have a small lot in back of the theatre. Will be back soon.

Two screens, Good programming, and a friendly crew. Upscale films, no blockbusters, and decent prices. Theres even off-street parking, though its not obvious how to find it. The upper screen is in an intimate (small) room, but the lower screening room is large. A venue for serious film.

Im USUALLY an IMAX type of person. I visited this theater this week for the first time to go see Wont You Be My Neighbor it was AMAZING views. I also loved the cleanliness of the place after the movie. When I go to IMAX people just leave their food and drinks behind at Albany Twin I didnt see that happening.

Sit downstairs (theatre #1) for the big screen and wheelchair accessibility. Seats are not super comfortable, but good concession choices and great indie films with good restaurants nearby for pre or post movie meals.

Great local , vintage theater, with only two screens (one big and one small) keeping with the old-school motif in many of its films and tbeater ambience. Hosts the heralded Jewish Film Festival in July-August and featuring Landmark art films among others

Consistently showing films for adults, with an occasional foreign feature, this is a well-run, comfortable theater. Theres a parking lot behind the building. Freshly popped corn with real butter - buy a large, youll want the refill!

We love this theatre mainly because it never shows violent trashy previews! And I can dependon movies being top ranked by reviewers and intellectually interesting and emotionally rich.

This is one of the best theaters Ive been to. Absolutely love this place. Its tied for first place with 2 other theaters that are all in my top 3. The little antique bathrooms, the auditorium, the little box office outside, the old cracked terrazzo pavement design out front, and the type of films they run, and even the type of audience it attracts (since its up in rich town, there are none of the abusive people that you find at the theaters in downtown areas). I disagree with the people leaving bad reviews on here.2 other extraordinary theaters - the alameda in alameda, CA near OAKLAND. Also there is an amazing one in Santa Barbara far cooler than any other I’ve been to.

I am a huge fan of Landmark in general, but this place had the rudest guy working at a theater I have ever met. (A simple question by phone was met with scorn and ridicule) So, this gets one of my completely rare bad reviews.

Classic old timey theatre in downtown Albany. The seats are not the most comfy but the theatre is cute and all the employees I interacted with were friendly. Coming from a small town $11.00 for an evening show is a bit steep for me but i will surely be back probably just not as often. I noticed a lot of chairs which were a challenge for some of the older patrons.
