This is a nice pedestrian mall. We visited during COVID so I’m sure we missed a lot but the shops that were open were nice and there’s a good selection of places to eat. It’s well kept and clean, no one haggled us for spare change or rides to go somewhere like you get in Charlottesville.

Great revitalization of historic place! We loved how the street is permanently closed off to vehicle traffic so you can freely roam through the area. We were there on a Friday afternoon and the metered parking was convenient and plentiful. There is a large variety of shops and food venues to tickle the fancy of almost everyone. We also enjoyed the Thinker Toys game shop with its large and varied inventory of educational and entertaining games. Were looking forward to returning to Old Town Winchester and exploring more!

As an outdoor shopping experience, there is surprisingly not only a lot of places to visit, but a lot of GOOD places. The environment is friendly and exciting, with a lot of foot traffic. During the summer, its enjoyable to walk around during the evening hours. The area is very much dog-friendly.Some of Winchesters best restaurants find home in this alley.

I love going to Old Town just to walk around for therapy purposes and to shop in a few of my favorite stores that sell everything handmade and antiques as well, because what these stores sell you for sure will not ever find them in any big corporate giant chain stores!!! I suggest to everyone who likes to just walk or run for physical therapy or because its something your passionate about, then I suggest Old Town Walking Mall in the early hours of the morning and the later hours of the evening as well because its not as crowded. But, theres really never a bad time to go down there!!!!

Enjoyed the day in Winchester. The charming streets featured some interesting hobby shops and vintage stores. We were there for the Apple Blossom festival which is a special time for the town. I think that more or less, this is a typical Old Town, perhaps even a bit better than typical. Lots of cute, well-decorated little shops. Good food down there too, some of it is more affordable than others, but whatever it is, is usually worth the expense. No human-powered transportation is allowed on the mall, so if youre planning on taking a bike there, maybe leave it behind so that you dont have to walk it around.

Nice walking areas and cute small shops. The creamery red fox ice cream place was great and tasty with big portions. Great coffee shop on the end--super fresh! It also has outdoor seating. Excellent whoopie pies- fresh! Went great with the coffee. Italian restaurant was closed, so we went across the street (brewbakers)- it had excellent service!, great recommendations, and big portions. Great atmosphere. There are plenty of small shops but most close by 6pm, so shop early and enjoy the scenery!!
