Great place to stop & enjoy water trying to get my head Straight & rdy to face the day
Beautiful park and great for an outdoor meeting especially during covid-19 season.
A great place to launch any boat into the Cape Fear River. Plenty of parking. My first experience there was a shady crowd of people and we turned around and left. Im not sure how patrolled it is or its safety and security but the 2nd trip was great for a day of kayaking and my car was safe upon our return.
Great place to launch your kayak. Clean restrooms and picnic shelters.
Great place for a picnic. Across the way is shark tooth island. Only problem is people park in the way for you to turn your truck around to back in to the unload slip.
Very easy to launch a kayak from the ramp. Went to Sharks Tooth Island and Let Island. Both are very close to the park.
Great place to stop n chill. No clam baking tho. Ur gonna need to get out and check out those water views to enjoy a non sketch Sativa Session. They like to chill n sit in parks for paperwork ect.Bathrooms √ sunsets √ Water access for boats √ Picknick √ Its great late afternoon. CAN GET BUSY. But people are chill and respectful.
All we used was parking and the boat ramp to load canoes and kayaks for a paddle on the intercoastal waterway. The pier had been damaged by Isaias and was closed. Not sure what other amenities were available in the park.
Great for kayaks and small boat , fishing pier and kid park , and bathrooms
Wonderful spot to set out for kayaking/canoeing adventures. The easily accessible boat ramp, fairly calm water (typically) and nearby islands are suitable for even the novice paddler.
Great place to picnic, kayak or fish. Sunsets are wonderful.
Great playground for kids. Wonderful walk beautiful pier to walk on. Lots of shade and shelter with picnic area and grills. Bathrooms available as well. A very nice place to spend a summer day with family and friends!
Location and facilities river front.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset.
Nice park. Area to put you boats in or fish, a nice pier to fish from, picnic tables and grills.
Its a little limited, theres a very small playground and 2 covered eating/sitting areas. The little pier is nice for fishing and shooting pictures. There a small river access and boat ramp as well.
Great place to launch in the river.
Nice fishing quit kayaking ramp
Nice little park tucked away on the Cape Fear River. They have a launch area for canoes and kayaks as well as a dock, restrooms, and picnic shelter.
We celebrated my daughters 21st Birthday and College Graduation. The park and shelter were all clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our time emencly.
Love it peaceful place for an hour lunch break
Love this place. Great place to wet hook and sit back and enjoy the scenery.
GREAT sunset spot !!! Bring your bug spray in the summer.... The noseeums have teeth !!!
A great place to launch kayaks from. 2 picnic shelters (with power outlets) you can reserve. Fishing dock/pier. Restrooms on site.
The playground and bathrooms were clean and close to the shelter and the fishing pier was a great plus!
Ive only been here once but I can see that I would really like it .They..have a long pier and they have places at the end where you can put your fishing Poles and fish and also do some crabbing they have a boat launch right next to it.
This park was easy to get to, easy to find parking, easy to unload kayak, and had some nice local people that we talked to. We also noticed a couple of police cars come through oh, I assumed they were doing routine checks. although it did seem like the kind of Park where people would go to do things they shouldnt be doing. The bathroom was clean, and again we were really impressed by how easy the boat ramp was to use oh, just a nice gentle slope into the river and then a quick paddle out the sharks tooth island. Highly recommend the park for paddling, but I can only imagine how bad the bugs would be during the warmer months. as we are putting our kayaks into the water, theyre being eaten alive by noseeums.
Small park but nice kayak launching area.
I always have a great time there with my family. We love to go there for fishing and crabbing. Also a great place to bring kids and animals. You can have cookouts there as well.
Always pretty empty at the playground and in a shaded area so great for a summer day!
Good fishing but little pier. Great for launching kayaks tho:)
Love this park. Especially the pier with a great view of the river. There are spots to have a picnic and restrooms as well. Cannot wait to fish here.
Ive been coming to this park since I was a little kid. Its got a pier where fishing is allowed, and a small beach to launch small water craft. Its extremely nice, especially at sunset where you can see the sunset over the river. From the boat launch point, a few of the Islands (Keg and Campbell, namely) are accessible by boat.Within the park there is also a playground and nice picnic areas. There are also bathrooms
Small park, but does have a playground, picnic area, boat access and small fishing pier.
This was wonderful trip! Our guide, Mike was knowledgeable, personable, funny and very engaging. He made us feel like we were in capable hands and allowed us to enjoy the scenery and the company. Well be doing this again.
Great spot for fishing, kayaking or boating. Easy ramp to get into the Capefear River. Play ground for the kids and picinic pavilion.
Nice park! Great view!
Excellent place to slip a kayak into the river. Bathrooms available here too.
Its a nice place to go fishing when you dont have all the idiots out there
Small park with boat and fishing access. Cozy and Peaceful!!!!!
Interesting little park. Nice for dog walk
We use this park to put our kayaks in. Plenty of parking under the trees and a bathroom. Absolutely beautiful. Just beware the river mud can make things tricky when not at high tide!:)
Beautiful dock and boat launch for kayaking!
Great place to go fishing
Like most of New Hanover parks they are kept clean, grass cut .and if they have restrooms i know they clean them early and the rest of the day is up to us the visitors. my granddaughter and I use these parks alot .I would like to thank N.H. county for providing the kids a place to go and have fun and swing
A great place to take the family, and enjoy yourself
Hidden beauty, the pier is awesome.
If you are looking for a place to launch your kayak, this is the place. If you go early enough the water will be low enough to get out of the kayak and explore the islands. There is a lot of kayakers in the area, keg island is across from the launch and great for kayaking. There is no real parking but you can find a spot to park, be prepared to wait for access to the launch if you have to unload your truck at the launch.
A great place to kayak.
Great place for fishing and just relaxing
Beautiful park that is kept clean.
Never rent the trip to island to gather shark teeth at island waste of good money buy 20 dollar boat at low tide u walk there
Easy access for kayaks, boats, etc. Restrooms are available. Parking is adequate. Sheltered benches for picnics are nice.
Nice place to launch kayaks and canoes.
Very quiet park to go read a book and relax. Not one soul will bother you. I love it.
Easy access paddle boarding
We joined friends for a birthday party here and it was a huge success. There is a playground, restrooms and river access. great place in the spring to have an event.
Quiet and great crabbing
There is no play grounds for the kids. A nice walking trail and a bicycle trail.
Nice park with playground covered pavilion s and a dock to fish off of also lots of parking and public restrooms
Usually not crowded, great for any time of day
Good place for the kids to play and clean bathrooms
Be careful, someone hit my car with their trailer and did not say a word.... I was halfway on the peir. I parked right there by the tree line, out of the way. So do like me and get a dashcam and have full coverage. Other than that. This is the spot to go and chill on a peir and relax.
Sunsets and sunrises are BEAUTIFUL
Nice fishing pier
Stopped to see what fishermen were catching.
Enjoy kayaking to the islands
Its how you get to sharks tooth island...
