Nice little beach with a beautiful view of the bay.It was a bit trashed when we visited, which was a bummer, but our dogs had a blast! The water is so beautiful and calm, Im sure it would be great to swim there during the summer.

Its a great park. However, many that visit the park at the current time do not wear masks or properly social distance: keep this in mind before planning a visit.

Nice little park..okay amount of parking spaces...m & f restrooms/changing rooms are pretty clean...water levels in bay are up so boat and jet ski launches much easier. In the morning sun come up in your face so in the evening its behind and with tree coverage you arent getting too much sun late. Not a lot of picnic tables but lots of grass for your own small grill and seating. Closest store is a mini Mart & gas place about 3/4 mile from the beach

So cool for a spit of public sand !!! Water is always nice in July, beautiful weather as of July 2020. Medium rocks patched thru the beach and in lake, buoys to outline limits. Average depth past shore is 2-3 tops. Its perfect guys. Clear, clean. Freshwater rules above all waters. I shot fireworks, had some beer, pop and snacks with the kids. Beautiful houses surrounding public area. Dream big, yall! $600k minimum!!!

East Bay park has a pretty fantastic little beach; Maybe 2000 square feet left. Water is clean, lots of parking, clean restrooms, and a playground. Perfect for kids as its shallow and has a very small sandbar type area. And not too crowded.

Conveniently located. Has picnic/grilling areas. Playground available for children and on-site enclosed bathroom. The beach used to be bigger, but there is still plenty of room to spread out during this social distancing time.

This was my favorite place to swim in traverse, but I went today and it smelled sooooooo bad that I couldnt swim or stay. I checked online for any info, but nothing. The bathrooms, which are a regular flush toilet, smelled like kitty litter and whatever fluid they fill porta pottys with, it was overwhelming. There was septic pumping equipment on-site just sitting around the bathrooms... But even near the water it just smelled like the bathrooms did. So nasty.Given the high water and that its August, maybe they just need to pump real bad. I dunno. Id give it 5 stars under normal circumstances cause I enjoy how shallow it is and how far you can walk out in the crystal blue/green water. But man today was gross!!

Family friendly neighborhood park on East Grand Traverse Bay. Swings, playset, picnic tables, grills & indoor restrooms all on a shallow, sandy beach. Water levels are quite high (2019) so the beach is reduced. Paved parking lot, too.

This is a great little park with a beautiful view of the bay, and a nice playground for kids. Only seconds away from NMC, it is a great place to take food to eat, or study, or just relax on the beach. I regularly find Petoskey stones here, as well as neat little creatures. Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, college kid-friendly. 10/10.Also I pet a swan on the head here.

Actually was at the park for a kayak trial run by Backcountry North, so first time in the park. The water being incredibly high, there was still a little bit of beach, so thats a plus. No crowds on a Saturday morning. Nice restroom facilities.

It can be hard to rate a park but lets give it a shot. Yes, there are nice restrooms (closed in winter, obviously). Yes there is a playset for younger kids. Yes there are grills. Yes there is a nice beach... and the extra good thing about this particular beach is that it is relatively shallow for a longer distance out into the water in comparison to other parks on East and West Grand Traverse Bay. Despite the relative shallowness Ill tell parents what they already know: please never take your eyes off your kids when near water. This beach faces east so an adventure here on a clear, early morning will net you a gorgeous sunrise.

This is a public beach on the East Grand Traverse bay. Its never that busy, the rest rooms are newer. It has a great playground for kids. The water is shallow for about 300 yards out, so you can walk around quite a bit in the bay.

This is the perfect little park for a hot summer day. There is a nice playground, toilets, grills and picnic tables. There is a boat launch, but I recommend for lighter craft such as canoes and kayaks. The swimming area is clean and sandy. The water is quite shallow for some distance and typically very warm.

I love this park. It has a good amount of shade. There is a sign that says no dogs allowed. So I dont bring my dog, and then I see other people have brought dogs.I wish dogs were allowed at this beach so that I may bring my own dog.The mens room has been super gross a few times. And I know its because people choose to be super gross, be aware there isnt really an attendant there 24/7.
