My favorite vineyard in the trip to Traverse City and the surrounding peninsulas! The views are amazing, the wine is absolutely delicious and has their own twist to them. The Pinot Grigio has a creme brûlée twist and the others were also over the top.The social and inclusive atmosphere along with the friendly staff is another reason to check them out. Cheers to you.

Expected more. I imagine that well have a better experience if we return.Wife and I went wine tasting for the day with another couple. We visited ten vineyards total during our weekend stay in the area. We are amateur wine tasters in every sense.--THE GOOD:Good views from the outdoor deck - picturesque. Good, clean bathroom options.THE BAD:Average wine. They only allowed us to do wine by the glass when we were there (this might have been due to COVID-19), but other places allowed us to do flights and tastings. The outdoor fire-pit was not running, and it was a little chilly. Would have been nice to have going.

This place is fine. The wine is average compared to anything else on the peninsula. They arent really trying too hard to comply to COVID restrictions (this place is bananas) and no one is at the door to tell let you know what to do like the other places--seems unorganized. The view is good, thats the only reason to stop. Id probably just skip it if youre going to several places.

Spectacular wine with a wonderful pino noir for those hoping for some red in Michigan. Your drawn right away to the beautiful patio with view of the bay. Stairs lead you to several more tables below for casual drinking and chatting. We did the private tour: had on of the owners walk us through the property, fermenting room, barreling room, outside areas. As a fairly novice wine drinker I learned a lot about the process, and you get the inside scoop on some fun facts about the property and grapes! Would recommend to anyone who is interested.

Visited Bonobo and very impressed with their safety procedures for COVID. Spaced out seating, indoor and outdoor space, masks required, and purchased wine by the glass with their staff behind a plexiglass window. I really enjoyed their alcoholic slushee with the donut roll. Another bonus is the fact that Bonobo is open later than the other vineyards nearby.

The wines were right up my alley (not too sugary) and the small plates were a foodies delight (we had the fried goat cheese, chicken sliders and crab cakes — they were all made to perfection). On April 27, 2019 I was part of a bus tour and Bonobo was the last winery we visited. We were all VERY disappointed at our last stop. Our group was seated together in a tasting room which we thought was very nice. We were told what we would be tasting that afternoon. EVERY vine pre-selected was dry, no variety. We did not care for any of the wines and left without making any purchases. This was the most expensive tasting- $10, the others were $5. The other places we stopped we got to choose what we wanted to taste. We waited in line at the other stops and had a great time!We were excited to learn about the restaurant on site from the bus driver and we changed our plans to eat after the tasting, we had lots of time to buy a glass of vine and eat, It is a beautiful place, but after the tasting none of us were inclined to pay more to taste more vines that we may not like. We decided to leave and go eat somewhere else in TC.There were 15 ladies in our group- at the other 2 stops we had we bought at least 20 bottles of vine at each stop, we all planned on buying wine at Bonobo also, but didnt.I hope this review changes how tastings are done for groups, most of our group wants to return to TC to do another tour, but none of us want to return to your winery.

View is great, which is why we usually stop. Came here when they first opened thinking they would get better the longer they were open, but it has pretty much been the same everytime. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, but the wines arent any better than any other wineries on old mission, and the prices are higher. On top of that, the seating outside is limited and is just a bunch of ragged picnic tables. Its just okay, but for the price it should be better.

Our bridal party made reservations for the premier tasting with a view months in advance. As we arrived 20 minutes early it was immediately noticed that the workers were unfriendly, and instead of getting the area we made reservations for, we were walked to the common bar area with a supervisor named Coleman. We spoke up about this mistake but they tried to lie and say this was the area, then they told us another group was in the premier tasting area we reserved. So, not only did we not get the premier area, but Coleman rushed us and made it obvious he was uninterested. After this we ordered food only to have our order messed up, and a female worker did not bring us any plates or silverwear. We had to track them down and the female worker was not nice about the mistake, however the chef ended up being very kind when we spoke to her. After this, Coleman must have realized how dickish he was and had to cover his butt, so he gave us VIP wine glasses to go. After we left we opened these up to discover they were just plastic dollar store cups, not even engraved like all of the other wineries.. honestly.. what a joke. To sum it up: we made reservations months in advance and expected to pay a good amount for a professional wine tasting with a view, but Bonobo Winery in no way whatsoever carried out their end of the deal, and we all left disappointed. 1/5 stars because at least the chef was nice.

We had a great time at Bonobo. The wine was good but not spectacular to us. The cheese board was nice. The tasting room was the best of any that we visited. It was very warm and welcoming. The day we went was cold and rainy. They had the fireplaces going with couches to sit and relax. I think we must have been there for two hours just for a tasting and cheese plate. We bought the Groupon which was a great value. They were out of souvenir glasses which was part of the Groupon. They gave us a coupon to get one later which I hope I dont lose. The grounds and tasting area are superb. Wine tasting for many in our private tour group was very disappointing. We were not allowed a selection of tastings. This was difficult as 3 of the 5 preselected wines were Chardonnay and many in the group do not care for this type of wine. The hostess was not overly friendly either. We all wished we would have chosen a different Vineyard given the fact this was the most costly of the bus tour. Not one bottle of wine was purchased by the 14 people in our tour. We had great expectations given the celebrity status of this locale . It simply did not live up to the hype.

We love visiting Bonobo when visiting our OMP lake house. So much, that I subscribe to their newsletter which is where I learned about their Picnic In The Vines offering. Once a date was confirmed, we selected our menu (four items to choose from) the day before and paired it with wine when we arrived at the Winery. Amy Wilde met us, and she couldnt have been more helpful and friendly. She drove the six of us in a nice golf cart to a picnic table in the middle of the vineyard where Amy set the table with our lunch -- Chicken Salad Sliders, Cheese & Charcuterie and Strawberry Rhubarb Bars -- and opened the wine. Everything was absolutely delicious and the environment magnificent. We learned that we were the first to go on Bonobos picnic and highly recommend that everyone in the area experience this delight.
