Cute little space and some shade to park in. Pit toilets and walking trail. If I had a dog I would walk her here happily.Update, watch out for discarded and uncapped hypodermic syringes in the parking lot. I just cleaned up 4 left by local junkies and I sure would hate an unsuspecting parent of a child to have to deal with their child being jabbed. Ive not seen that type of people here when I visit but they obviously visit and leave their problematic trash behind without a thought. Very sad to see here.

What a great little find in our overnight stay in Taos!! Something for the whole family, including a large field for the dog to run around. Our twins played, I walked, and hubby rested from a hard days drive. Well done, Taos! We’ll look forward to visiting again.

Nice park to walk my dogs. There are 3 paths to choose from. All different, paved in an open area. Dirt, with hay layed down in a more secluded area with very little foot traffic. And bridges through marsh like area. ( when wet, it does get muddy in the big open area).

We love Back Park. Its our favorite park in Taos. Enjoy the well maintained lawns and nice walking trails. The wet lands nature trail is beautiful this time of year, although the trail was a bit overgrown with weeds.

Nice for short walks but can be crowded at peak times. Dogs off leash are problematic. The nature trail is fun but short. Playground for kids. For Taos, its a decent little park.

Nice city park with wonderful natural area for wildlife observation. Be sure to wear bug gear and/or bug spray. The mosquitoes are intense in the marsh wetland area.

The best part of it is that it adjoins the Taos Land Trust, which is a really cool place for walking and viewing wildlife, especially hawks.

Gorgeous ample space. Landscaped with native trees and plants. Great place for a run, bike ride, picnic, and place for kids to play. It has covered picnic tables and options for kids to play on from a wooden arched ladder to climb on to a modern play structure with swings. A plus, it has very clean bathrooms.

A wonderful trail doesnt make up for the lack of trees or gaming areas but it is far enough from central part of town that vagrants dont travel to it to loiter all day. Theres no designated leash free area but it is easy to keep your dog separated from others.
