My son in law bought a place across the street from the golf course years ago. This place is like living in a Country Club. I am so proud of him having the foresight to buy in this community. It has everything they could want.

This place was really nice. It is open to the public and I believe they are still open throughout what is going on. I had never experienced a GPS touch screen golf cart before coming here, and it was great!

Cool golf course, very fast and receptive (spinning) greens, hilly, and nice range and setup. The food was delicious and the staff were really nice. Overall a great place to go for a fun golf course.

The layout of the course is beautiful. You can tell it was designed to be championship style. With lush roughs, hilly fairways, enjoyably challenging Par 3s and well maintained greens to make the experience both challenging and fun. Decent pricing too. Nice and slow during the middle of the week. Just hate that it plays through a neighborhood, and a ritzy one at that. On some holes the only thing between you and someones backyard...is their backyard.Its nice to see a course that still uses grass on the range. Mats dont teach you the way real turf does.Ive only eaten there twice. I forget what I had the first time but I really enjoyed it. Had shrimp tacos next time with some tortilla chips and salsa. That too was very well made. All in all, a very nice course.

Sunday Brunch was wonderful. The presentation; service; care of the staff; and, quality of the food was spot on perfect. Highly.recommended.

Not really challenging

I once had a pet goose that I loved dearly. Southwood has many geese to keep you company while you play. I love Southwood like I loved my sweet goose Bonkers.

Well conditioned but very crowded

New ownership is helping turn the restaurant into a neighborhood favorite. Weekly entertainment on Friday, pasta night and prime rib night are favorites. Beautiful golf course. Great place for private parties and open to the public as well.

Great buffet!!! Great live music with DEJA Blu, Tallahassees hottest acoustic rock band and the Masters of Harmony.

Great golf course with great staff! Food at the golf club is delicious and reasonably priced! They take care of the course very well year around. There are always some deals going on if you are looking to play an 18 hole with friends. It is at a really nice neighborhood and parking is not a problem. Weather always nice since the golf course is in Florida!

Nice coursePace of play was horrible. Played nine holes behind a group of 5. Really!!

Went to the driving range here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Drove around some of the holes and they looked very interesting. Dont get caught in one of the sand traps. Very hilly and it looks like a tough coarse.

Very nice, very long course with a crapton (specific figure... Yes we counted) of sandtraps.Its a very comfortable course to play, but at a glance it looks much easier than it is. Id recommend it to any golfer, particularly long hitters.The clubhouse staff is very friendly

A great Fred Couples design that has great greens and a great layout. The course is well maintained, and is one of the best public golf courses in Tallahassee. You can usually find discounted tee times online, as that is really the only way to play this place. The regular rates are too expensive for the average Joe. They have a great practice facility and range, and the course is usually busy, especially on weekends. I play here from time to time, just to test my game and appreciate the great conditions.

Course was busy on senior Tuesday. New senior rate is $35 plus tax. Greens and course were in good condition.

A really nice place to visit. The employees take care when providing you with materials such as water and carts.

Unique design, not normally seen in these parts of the FL Panhandle. Great elevation change through out the holes, will have you attempting shots you may never have had to shoot before. 2nd nicest track in the Panhandle and Gulf Coast region. Only behind St. James Bay Which there is no shame placing behind.

I like the course, however, young guy named Steve I think has been rude the last 3 times Ive been. His excuse two times has been, Im the only one working. I know he was ready to leave, maybe the sun was down, but as we came up to chip and putt he pulled the flag before we finished. I understand this is probably a summer job but a little courtesy goes a long way. This is after he asked us on 16 to pull the pins on 16,17,18 and do his job for him which we gladly obliged. The first two times he was rude, was at the counter when we were paying.

Food is not expensive and its good, nice ambiance, attentive service.
