Alcohol and cocaine had been a great part of my life for 24 years. It was amazing at the start as It would make me feel invincible  and make me fit right in but my SOLUTION became my PROBLEM as the years went on. Because of this place, feelings of Calmness/Happiness and Joyfulness come up as I am writing this.  Feels AMAZING NOT to be as physically, emotionally and spiritually broken anymore and its a work in progress. Keeps getting better everyday.

So much fun meeting Byrd and having her share her life and stories growing up in the Usonian house built for her family. It is definitely worth touring this very uniquely designed Frank Lloyd Wright pod home, which is only one of two built. The home is in the process of restoration but elegant nonetheless. Byrd told us it will be restored to its originally designed plans. Visitors may photograph the exterior only.

So cool to see FLW house in a neighborhood setting. Hard to see from the road. Wished we could have been there on tour day.

This was such a unique and wonderful experience! I have toured a number of Wright homes and buildings but our time at the Spring House was unparalleled. It is incredibly special to be able to experience a Frank Lloyd Wright home through the eyes of one of the people for whom it was built. Byrd, one of the Lewis children, gave us a fascinating tour of this FLW gem that was generously peppered with personal stories of her childhood there. She was incredibly hospitable and kind and we were greatly moved by the work that the family is doing to preserve the house. This is such a worthy project and one that all lovers of important architecture should support. This tour is a dont-miss!

I have been volunteering at Spring House for about 2 years now and it has been one of greatest experiences in life. Of course being able to hear wonderful stories about life and growing up in Spring House from Byrd makes it that much more amazing! It is definitely worth working into you itinerary.

I just took the tour today and was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable the tour guides were. I was also was lucky enough to meet one of the owners, Mr. Lewiss daughter. They are working so hard to get the house and grounds back to their original state or better. The house is easy to find. I believe less than a mile off a main street. Very close to I-10. I would definitely take the tour again.. next time in Florida. Such a lovely place/area!

Amazing architecture. Was lucky enough to have daughter of the family that built & lived in the house as a tour guide. Tours are to raise money to purchase & restore house. No AC, though, so be prepared! Suggest wearing comfy, closed toe shoes & also take short trail tour. Parking is along street.

House has a lot of Wrights influences, however that being said the home is in rough shape, maintenance wise. The furniture designed with the home is gone, save a picture of it. The home was not built completely the way Wright designed it also. Knowing that its still good to tour, just know if youve toured other Wright homes, this one will be different.

Unique place to tour. One of Wright’s smaller, yet truly individual works. The home is a little neglected which adds to the historic feel.

Exceptional. The house is sensational. Our tour was lead by 2 of the Lewis children who grew up in the house. Everything and more one can want from an FLW. Please make time to do this!!

Found Frank Lloyd Wright house in Tallahassee. Very poorly maintained if at all, apparently can be seen inside by appointment only. Took few pictures though but it looks very abandoned ️
