My 60lb pitbull mix Ella loves this dog park. Its a grassy dog park; the regulars are a good group of dogs and their owners. Less crowded than San Luis or Tom Brown; closer than Bannerman. Overall I would recommend this dog park or the San Luis one. Oh the park ranger lady takes the closing time very seriously-- closes at sunset.

The park itself is very nice. Trees provide good shade; two areas for large and small dogs, water fountain for humans and dogs, waste pickup station, grassy, some activity stations (a hoop, picture station and log structure). My dog loves to sniff around and run!Now the officials who run the park have been very kind and usually allow to stay until 8:00 pm (the official closing time) which I appreciate. I knocked a star because today I encountered one woman who came driving down the road honking her horn loudly multiple times around 7:53 pm, kicking everyone out of the park.To most people 7 minutes may not seem a lot, but for me in this particular context it was a significant and important amount of time. I usually work late and am only able to bring my dog for the 7 to 8 pm hour. She is a shy girl, and its hard to get her to play with other dogs. Today she decided to get excited and finally play with another dog at 7:52 and those 8 minutes for her make a world of a difference. She was so happy and I was so happy and it was just sad to get yelled at by this lady who was not even honoring the 8:00 pm closing time. As far as I know, any business allows you to remain until closing at which time everyone must exit the premises. In particular, her attitude was very aggressive from the get go when she drove by honking her horn loudly several times and then yelling at me outside of her window with an aggressive tone. I do not understand why she had to be so mean. If I had gotten into my car at 8 pm and drove to the entrance by 8:01 or even 8:02 pm, that should not make so much a difference for her.For my dog, those extra minutes would have been a breakthrough!(next time I will leave at 7:57 pm, which will give me enough time to reach the entrance at 8:00 pm)

I have a super energetic little dog who takes every opportunity to wiggle off of his leash and just run. My yard at home is not fenced in and this dog park has been a life saver! Not only can my dog run his little heart out but he thinks its so fun to meet new friends! He will run until he cant take it anymore and I will have to carry him out of the park. It is a clean large area with separations for small and large dogs. It is very pleasant.

Lots of fun for doggos! The only problem is there isnt a water faucet inside the fence so you have to take the bowls outside and fill them up in the water fountain. Other than that its great.

Nice facilities and bathrooms. Fairly large playground but no swings. Boardwalk has beautiful view of Lake Jackson and is nicely shaded. Also a good place to run or bike, there isnt too much traffic and there are run / bike lanes throughout the park.

Small kids playground needs a minor repair...Since being redone this playground is much safer and nicer. I personally love the trails and the paved roads between the two one could walk for hours. The boardwalk in the rear of the park overlooks Lake Jackson. This park features a number of pavilions and a couple large covered grills. Bathrooms are almost always clean.

My sister chose this place to do her gender reveal. It was very quiet, especially for a sunny Saturday and it was very clean. Kids had a blast on the playground and everyone seemed to enjoy it. There was a nice sized covered picnic area that helped keep us cool, looking forward to going back

My family and I just had a reunion here yesterday, April 20th, 2019 so that we could see our Great Aunt again as she has brain cancer that is inoperable and her last wish was to see all of her family again. Everything was going fine at first. Some of my family arrived around roughly 2 oclock but I and some others got there around three and later. We sat at the benches in the far back, down a slope and a good walk from the playground. When we got there, there were two other families under the covering closest to the playground. Their music was extremely loud and it literally made my eardrums pulse. I got my food I brought and etc and walked to MY familys covering. A few minutes or maybe an hour later, the other family left and since one of my relatives had mobility issues and couldnt get down the slope, we decided to move up a few tables in place of the family that had packed up and left.Everything was fine. My familys DJ had hooked up some small speakers and we had a mic to introduce ourselves and make announcements (over the noise) about when the food was ready, when it was time to say Grace, and when it was time to clean up.Things got shaky when a woman who I assume worked there came up to one of my family members and she was collecting trash. All of our trash was in bags, as we are very respectable people and I myself cringe at littering because I feel strongly about preserving our environment. The woman got into an argumemt with one of our hosts about some trash that the wind took away. Earlier we tried weighing everything down the best we could with ketchup bottles, utensil boxes, and balloon weighs, but the wind was a little bit strong yesterday and from what I seen, a few biodegradable paper napkins, a paper plate, and 2 red cups got blown away.It resulted in the woman calling the sheriff (who was very kind, despite how rude the woman was to my family). He explained that the woman said the music was too loud and that the woman had complained about trash. We then had decided to pack up and leave. And as we are very respectable people, NO trash was left behind. The park itself was a nice area to host events. It was spacious, there were grills and tables, there was a fence around the playground area. However, before everyone else arrived, the first people who got there reported menstrual-stained toilet seats, and a dirty bathroom overall. I was not happy with this. But luckily, I have a super bladder. Plus I refrained from drinking any sodas. The staff here needs to be worked on.I gave it 2 stars because of the space. But when theres elderly people here who have to drive out a good minute to use the restroom because the staff isnt doing their job, it takes away from the quality of the park.

Visually stunning; a tidy and tiny little escape right between Old Bainbridge Road and Lake Jackson. The smoothly paved trail is a short loop and there is a worn out boardwalk that needs a little maintenance but otherwise offers one incredible view of Lake Jackson. Just watch out for huge spiders!

Nice little park tucked off of old Bainbridge. Its great for walking or running and is pretty pet friendly. It would be nice if they had a dedicated dog park as they do require pets on leshes but there are several areas that would be great to let the pets run free at. theres a nice board walk as well but since the lake has receded it doesnt go out over the water much
