This is my familys defacto weekend destination on warm days. You got couple of beaches, a nice open field, a well maintained kids play area and walk/bike trails. The tennis courts are added advantage. You need the city beach pass to park cars, but it is totally worth it since this place is not crowded in summer.

Cove island is the place to be on a sunny day in Stamford. Nice beach, park, recreation facilities for children. Ample parking space. You need a parking permit from May to September, rest of the year entry is free.

The park is large and has picturesque view. The overall ambiance is relaxed and has a tinge if fun. Great place for a family gathering or BBQ, or even just a nice walk with a friend. The beach is nice however it isn’t so large. There a many boats there with an optional for rental as well. But that must be done ahead of time. The parking for the park is quite costly but you can easily find parking on the street which is a mere two minute walk away.

Wonderful small beach with lots of trees that we love. Peaceful and lonely place not much crowded but very safe place to handout with Kids. There are many tree covered benches, picnic and grilling areas, and long enough walking paths. Tram circulates through the beach area and it’s free. Parking fees $25 per day. Bathrooms are clean. Staff are very friendly . Must go again.

Non-Stamford residents be aware that this STATE park will cost you $69 per weekend DAY!!! Vs. $26 seasonal pass for residents. It absolutely doesnt worth the money. But... You can try to find free street parking on SOME local streets within 10 - 15 min walk, like Charles St. Watch street signs as some streets residents only parking.

Huge oceanside park. There is plenty of place to walk the dog or for a morning run. There also is soccer, baseball and volleyball fields. A couple spots with picnic tables and BBQ are scattered across the park. There is also a few isolated benches along the beach to sit and a few great fishing spots.

Usually uncrowded park on Long Island Sound with beaches, views, picnic and recreation areas. Fishing, a marina for boats, basketball, tennis and paths for rollerblading. Stamford residents park permit is $25. and non-residents are charged $225 for the season. Parking without a permit/sticker is limited but possible with a short walk, but pay attention to neighborhood watch signs.

The view from the water is good: Park, lake and behind them beautiful houses. In low tides, you need to go pretty far to be able to swim. The sand is pretty bad.Parking I remember was 25 if you dont go through Stamford city. You can park a little bit far from park in the smaller streets

I love this place. I like it for a run, with the kids, for anything. We love to go with the kids, they can run with their bikes, skates and I am not worry that they are going to get hit for a car or anything. We can have a picknick, or go to park right after they run a round and dont forget the views and the beach. Totally recommended for anyone that want to get some fresh air.

This is one of the better parks on the Stamford area. There is a beach area with a nearby concession stand. At the southern end there is a bird sanctuary with very nice walking trails which is also great for photography with plenty of wildflowers. There is also an ice skating rink where are local skaters practice for competition as well as recreation. During the summer there is a tram that circles the park and runs every 30 minutes. There is ample parking however during the summer parking fees are high so it is better to get a city beach sticker.
