Take the tram tour! For your first visit, its worth the $4. You learn a lot about the history of the garden, all the types of plants, flowers and trees, and you get to see the entire place. Our tour guide took us up to the Boddy House--specifically ask to go see it--its lovely. The view from the patio of the house is beautiful. The gardens are, of course, lovely--our tour guide said Fed-March is the absolute best time to go visit--everything;s in bloom. I went in July and it was still pretty great. WAY more trees than I was expecting--if youre a tree lover, theyve got some sensational ones here.

A nicely done, secluded park with waterfalls and tables snd chairs so you can sit, relax, and de-stress. It is secured at night and it is very clean. There is a security guard on site. I found public parking a block away.UPS was started on this site in 1907 in an office that was under the sidewalk. It was awe-inspiring to see this and realize that UPS is now one of the largest shipping companies in the world!

Just beautiful! Loved the trails, all of the different varieties of flora and the historic Boddy House was a real treat. Even with the parking lot packed - Valentines Day weekend; I guess everyone was looking for something romantic - it didnt feel crowded. Will definitely be back!

Lovely place to have a sit and eat lunch or find a hint more nature. As opposed to a cafe or somewhere where you might feel obligated to buy something. There is generally a security guard there to make sure no one is causing a ruckus. And right now the little metal tables and chairs are in socially distanced clusters.

Small and semi-hidden but worth the stop. A beautiful respite from the historic urban jungle of Pioneer Square. Doesnt open till 8am but you can peek in before then. The waterfall is off until they open. Easy to miss if youre not looking for it. Take a relaxing break on one of the chairs or bring your lunch.

I love this place and eat lunch regularly here as I work nearby. The only reason for a 3 star rating is because of security- I was eating lunch here today and an unwell stranger came up rambling about nothing in particular, I listened for awhile and told him to have a good day. Not unusual for Seattle, untill he staring taking swigs of soda out of a bottle and spitting it out in a spray on the plants with people nearby. Security didn’t seem too bothered that someone was spraying their spit everywhere in a pandemic and hardly glanced up from their phone. This kind of stuff happens a lot here, so be warned, if something happens you’re on your own

Stumbled upon this gem when I decided to explore the city a bit more. It was fairly busy when I visited but what can I say? It’s a gorgeous park and packs a big punch for being so small. Perfect place to read, eat lunch, or even have long uninterrupted chit chats. The sound of the waterfall is very soothing as well. Worth visiting if you’re new to the city.

An unexpected jewel hidden in a corner of downtown Denver. Through the gate you leave the hustle and bustle of the day behind. You walk into an oasis of quiet and wonderful waterfalls. I had seen a small sign about it, but I was looking for a nearby fire station, so I almost didnt see it at first. Recognizing the running water sound. I doubled back and enjoyed a good 15 minutes of bliss. Highly recommended.

While vacationing in Portland, my wife Paula and I, her sister Ellen and husband Rick decided to take the short hop to Seattle. Seeing the Waterfall Garden Park was always on my list of “to dos” because I am a proud UPS retiree. Just envisioning the area when Jim Casey started the messenger service pre UPS, was a great experience for me. Seattle is a very hilly city and riding those bicycles around delivering even small items would have been a real job! It was a memorable trip!

This is a beautiful park and the location is easy to find. Inside isn’t the biggest space but there is a lot of seating and it doesn’t feel too crammed. Even though you can look up and see the city, it is a pretty immersive experience. Right down the street from other great locations like the Klondike museum and Occidental Square. Definitely worth stopping and walking around.

I discovered this location after escaping the wrath of some kind of particularly angry troglodyte I mistakenly awoke after trying to return a package (not affiliated with UPS but apparently living at the UPS garden ... underneath the waterfall like so many cables of yore). I thought this was a regular delivery store but it turns out its a historical vantage point marking the beginning of UPS. Even though you cannot go UPS the waterfall itself you can watch it go DOWNS (which is Id imagine what the company gets its name). Its quite scenic and the local security guard was quite helpful in specifying that I could not mail my package through any of the available recepticals (when I inquired whether I could ship my return package). Make sure to go a few blocks north or south and youll find a full UPS branch with delivery capabilities but do take a moment to enjoy the scenic beauty here. I knock off one star only because I was mistaken that it was also a full branch in addition to be a historical landmark.

Just got into the city yesterday and began to wander and explore Pioneer Square. I stumbled upon this and was astounded at the beauty of this hole-in-the-wall park. The waterfall almost drowns out the city, which was comforting to someone who comes from rural Missouri. You could even get a coffee across the street and just listen to the roaring water. Amazing find.
