I have been Martha Washington Park numerous times usually about once a day it allows me to walk down to the beach along the shores of Lake Washington look down at the Rainier airport in Renton watch skydivers come from a perfectly good airplane panda bears a good place to sit relax fair warning though with crime and drugs at night not a place we want to be after dark

Went to Sweard Park (about a mile North of here) and could tell it was packed by the lack of parking, plus the closed streets. Drive down here to check out the parking situation and immediately found parking and the nicest little alcove to read in quiet (with waves crashing in the background). If you need a nice little getaway, this is the spot!

Beautiful park along the water, and a great place to take your dog with a huge grass area, plus a nice place for them to take a dip.Only downside to the park is the mud, which gets pretty bad during the wet winter months.

Great little park with plenty of grass area for dog plus some small beaches which is perfect for little ones and is often used to launch standup pattle boards. Its not an official dog park but people often bring their four legged friends to run around off leash which may or may not be a good thing for you. There are no fences so its mostly well trained dogs that have good recall.

A very quaint little place. Not too much parking and only a Honey Bucket for amenities but very close to town and a nice quiet spot to get away.

In addition to the large grass area, there is a beach with a small craft boat launch. Nice view of Lake Washington. There were not too many people, which is hard to find in a Seattle park these days.

Great park, very primitive but has a lot to offer for what it is. Probably the biggest asset is the very large open grass field, not very flat but still excellent for any activity. The beach is still very natural but has some nice pebble beaches, no lifeguards. As others stated, not much parking but this place is off the main roads so not many know about it and it usually isnt busy, maybe its the ghost stories that keep people away. The re is some great history here and a little of it is chronicled in signs around the park. Believe what you will about all the ongoings from when there was the insane asylum here, but dont let it keep you from making a visit(maybe not at night : ) )

This has a few tiny beachy spots on Lake Washington, which are all lovely. They are along a short, very pleasant walking path. Walk or bike in ideally; there are only a handful of potential parking spots. Theres also a field area with a Honey Bucket and picnic tables.

Came here because of the history of the area I was a little disappointed that it seems like no one is interested in doing more with the park. I think I saw one or two picnic tables and one bench. Overall lackluster.

Very calm and quiet area. Great place for meditation and reflection, picnic, or a workout. Could use a bit more maintenance of the grass during the summer months. One of the great places in the area to just sit and look at the water.

There used to be an old brick school house here that was turned into a home for un-wed mothers. The story is, one of the mothers was about to have her child taken, and killed both herself and her child. After that, the place was rumored to be haunted. I went there one time, before the school was razed, and had a creepy experience, as did friends of mine. Now its a nice sloping park. Very little parking.
