Oh man, this fountain is a fantastic place to visit. If you find yourself in Seattle, you must stop here for a breather.First off, yes children and adults can cool off in this water fountain. It also plays music, and the streams of water pulse to the sound of the music, creating a wonderful relaxing environment for those sitting on the sidelines. A must see on any vacation.

The current International Fountain is the replacement for the original fountain from The Worlds Fair in 1962. Back then, the area inside the fountain basin was filled in with white painted boulders. The fountain itself was a dome, with fire nozzles sticking out of it. Kids would try to get as close as they could, or even on the dome without getting hit by the water cannons. It was great fun! Come visit, check it out!

Its a nice place to go and visit but covid 19 and the Eastern Washington wildfires have turned it into an unpleasant experience. Homelessness is a very sad thing to experience as well as to see other people going through it. It is with my own experience and others to stand together and help the Homeless and not judge or hate those going through this tough time and enjoy the Seattle center once again!

Near the Space Needle is this Huge fountain with numerous water jets spraying fantastic volumes of water in somewhat consistent areas but occasionally in other areas and you can play in this water or just watch others play. The kids had a great time and so did we. One word of caution. The bowl that this fountain sits within borders on being slightly too steep for a wet area. I saw one person slip and almost fall and many kids were sliding down these slopes for fun. You can easily walk down these slopes, just do so carefully. This is a great place to visit numerous times.

We live in Arizona but every summer when we head to WA for the cooler weather, the International Fountain is high on the priority list of things to do. It’s a great place to enjoy the weather and cool off if needed. The music in sync with the water makes it even better experience for the kids and the unpredictability of the larger sprays makes it all the more fun.

I mean theres not a lot to say about a fountain but its actually a pretty awesome spot! An awesome social space in the middle of the park and in walking distance to a lot of other cool attractions. The fountain is pretty big too and designed in a way to encourage people to hang out down at the base of the bowl. I grabbed a coffee from the nearby Armory and just sat by the edge and watched the water display and little music shows. And this was a late February day, not some hot summer day but the fountain still had a good amount of visitors. A neat social space indeed.

There is always a blond beer & a stout, and they always have some kind of IPA and Amber, tho those 2 change out for other ipas or reds or Saisons. Theres a house red wine & a house white wine and seasonally theyll do hot cider.

Seattle Center Rocks. It’s such a great place to bring friends and family for an afternoon. The remodeled Space Needle now has plexiglass floors throughout and is really a fun experience. The Seattle Center grounds are full of fun things to see and do. The big musical fountain in the center of the grounds is and has always been awesome. The old armory building is now a food court with great food and beer. They have a Mod Pizza which is really terrific, Blue Water Taco, Starbucks, and other things for families to do. There’s also the Pacific Science Center, the Chihuly Glass Museum, and numerous other interests.

Amazing place too come relax and enjoy a water show. Theres music playing and the fountain reacts diffrent to each song that comes on. Theres tons of benches and a walk path where u can try to walk down and arround the fountain with out getting rest. Theres about a minuit between each song for some quiet time and no water works and then it starts up again. Great place to come enjoy and spend time gazing on the Space needle while ur here! He International Fountain is in the centre of the Seattle Center. The fountain was designed in 1962 for the World Fair held in Seattle. It was reviewed and revised into its present form in 1995.The water spurting from the fountain reacts to the music and the children (and some parents) get a bit (or quite a lot) wet as the music plays and the water changes direction.Spending just a few minutes here is wonderful fun and really relaxing. We sat and enjoyed it for 30 minutes. Even we got wet as a light mist reaches the benches beyond the fountains compound where we are sitting.
