Amazing shows, friendly people and a very welcoming environment. The 1st Saturday of the month show, Weird and Awesome, is so much fun

Less than the price of a movie to have brilliant people act out consistently strange and quirky, and sometimes mind blowing, stories for your entertainment and enlightenment.Always worth seeing what magic they are creating with the sparsest of resources.

This is my favorite theater in Seattle. The theater always selects great local writers to direct performances and always has a diverse cast of actors. Ive seen every show this season and each one is more than worth it!

Excellent little theatre. They have unique shows that will blow you away. Being up close and personal with the actors is very cool. Reasonably priced as well.

I saw a play, a musical. The facility was small, which actually made it quite intimate. I could make eye contact with th e actors. The play was good. The leads were tremendous. The musical numbers were too long which dragged the production out.

Our group watched an amazing show. The room was large with approximately 30 chairs set up. Check it out!

A very strong performance from Sam IAm in “They/Them: The Musical.” I absolutely adored this musical. Sam was a true talent, they had me experiencing a roller coaster of emotions. I strongly recommend going to see the other talented trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming performance artists at the Annex Theatre during the They/Them Festival!

Am absolute bastion of small theatre in Seattle. If you have not seen a show at Annex, you simply have not yet arrived in Seattle. From humorous family events to powerful and challenging social and political works, Annex is raw blank box theatre.Surrounded by the pulse of Capitol Hill... There are few better evenings than dinner, a show and dessert.Get tickets and go!

Fun little theater. Always showing interesting and outside the box productions. Nice waiting area with beer, wine, etc. Not the easiest place to find. You just have to confidently walk in the door, head up a flight of stairs, and head in the funky door. Your reward is awesome theater.

If you want incredible creativity and inspiration look no further. The events here are always unique. Ive enjoyed plays and performances in the theater forever, but recently a new element has been added that is even more incredible: the basement studios. Studio Current is an event space that hosts all the underground theater you can shake a stick at. Geekspace TV is a local production non-profit that runs shows on twitch.tv and focuses on inclusion, representation, and LGBTQIA+ stories. Their casts are always diverse and their stories intriguing, moving, and often hilarious.

Its a bit run-down and all, but its a small theater doing local and small plays. It fits the bill.

Went there on a Monday night for a play as u will play. Its quite hard to find this theatre thought it is right by street. Its on 11th and E pike. Through the small door is the entrance. Looks a bit shady but hosts some very nice plays. Live girls is a theatre group who perform there and they are amazing. Do also check out the guy who sells hot dog nearby on d street.

Not accessible to disabled folk as far as I could see, otherwise great. Also has a bar!Little hole in the wall. Makes you feel like youre gonna be the first to experience something. Super queer place to be (so its great). Visited while Sketchfest was occurring and it was a great laugh. Staff pulled in some really great talent. Visit their other venues, Im sure theyre as great as what I experienced at Sketchfest.

The theater is centrally located on Capitol Hill, Pike & 11th. Its up about 2 1/2 flights of stairs so if youre unable to climb youll want to arrange to be carried (its been done before). The lobby consists of a long hallway with a nice sized bar/lounge area just past check-in. Theres a T at the end of the hallway, bathrooms left, seats right. There are 2 single unisex bathrooms up another couple stairs. The theater has several rows of seats divided by an aisle. It gets hot and humid in the summer but its survivable when the fans are going. Theres no bad seat in the house unless someone tall sits in front of you. The aisle down the middle is a well used area for performers so dont spread out too far.Tickets are wonderfully affordable. You can purchase online or in person and theres usually a couple pay what you can nights. The bar has beer, liquor, and snacks, all extremely affordable, and takes credit cards. Now on to the performances. Im never disappointed when seeing a show at Annex. Whether its a mainstage, off night, late night, or rental. Its a great place to see something weird, brand new, and current. Supporting artists that have something to say and not many places to say it. Youll see things that make you laugh, cry, cringe, question, cheer, rage, and hope.

On a rainy Saturday night, I walked in the Annex Theater jaded and expecting to see another half-baked turkey filled with a pool of Seattles marginally talented actors. To my surprise, I didnt need to run out of the theater and hail a cab during the intermission. I was enthralled with the play Blood Countess. The story-line was intriguing and the acting well above small theater mediocrity. Kudos to the Annex...this play is a winner in my eyes.I hope this macabre/ comedy, with the same group of talented actors, becomes a Seattle tradition during the season of autumn (Halloween). Also, kudos to the Annex Theaters administration for keeping its productions affordable. To enter a theater for a performance is to be inducted into a magical space, to be ushered into the sacred arena of the imagination. by Simon Callow
