Wonderfully hilarious and had a blast on a Friday night at the show. The performers are absolutely the best! I nearly had tears in my eyes for some sections and the piano player had all the great sound effects and melodies at the right time.

This group is amazing! They have preformed at my camp the past few years and they’re hilarious. It’s amazing that they take time out of their day to brighten up kids days

Not even a star, honestly. The art of subtle comedy is lost on this place. It 100% relies on huge characters and accents. Don’t get me wrong, bug comedy is funny...but not 90mins of it. I did not laugh, chuckle, smile, or even smirk at a single “joke.” It was a complete waste of money and time. I should have gone to Unexpected Productions, but wanted to try something new. I considered walking out of Jet City from skit one and asking for a refund. The audience suggestions were the only funny part.If you want a funny show, go to Unexpected Productions at the Gum Wall.

Awesome people doing funny things on the fly. I was skeptical when I saw that it was family friendly but they did a phenomenal job. And they are always supporting nonprofit programs for at-risk youth. Seriously they are so welcoming and inclusive and the shows are a blast. Give it a try!

If you find improv an afront to the arts, dont goIf you find improv to be utterly repellent, avoid. If you loathe laughter and silly situations, again, it might not be the place for you.Just a friendly warning! Inversely, if you dig improv, you will be probably have a darn good time!

Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. There is nothing funny here. They often put on characters that rely on physical ticks/accents/etc as punchlines rather than actually being comedic. Making fun of the way some people speak, walk, move, or behave is not funny and quite hurtful. They also rely on tired stereotypes. Maybe this could have been funny to some people a few decades ago, but its time to move on.

Just started performing improv and this was my first time ever at Jet City! Just got home and my mouth is off the floor. This cast is unbelievably funny. I cant believe this wasnt scripted. This much energy at a 7:30 show?! I left feeling like it was the first time I heard the Beatles. Excellent job to the cast and crew. Its inspiring!

Ive been to a few shows, and they have all been horrible at worst and not funny at all at best. The people are not welcoming at all. If you arent white, straight, able-bodied, etc. prepare to not laugh and to cringe many times.Look up the Seattle Weekly article about them it is revealing. The classes are similarly bad and exclusive as well.

The ROXY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, More cabaret - less Rocky, somewhat risque. Great improvisational theatre, the musicianoff to the side plays guitar, piano and the bongo. Talent all around, worth the $18.00

Me and my friend came up to Seattle for a vacation and we were taken here by the person we were staying with to see the Roast of Darth Vader. The show was just amazing pure comedy and as a real roast should be nothing was held back. If you get offended easily or cant take a joke I wouldnt recommend a roast in the first place. If I am ever back in town I will definitely be coming back.Great production guys!

Been to a handful of shows, and never had many complaints. Its a small, intimate, and old building --which I totally love. Brought a different group of friends here a couple of times--all of them had an idea what improv was, but never saw a show--they all enjoyed themselves

Ive been to Jet City for a handful of shows. It does a great job of maintaining a real charming neighborhood vibe while still delivering some really excellent comedy. Ive also found that they do a pretty good job of keeping it family friendly, which has not always been the case with other improv shows Ive seen.

Jet City puts on amazing performances. All the actors are really great. They also have a lot of shows themed to current events which is really cool. I took improv lessons with Jet City and can also say that the quality of the teaching is excellent. I intend to continue coming here and taking more classes.

I went to Improv for Nepal last night. I was really looking forward to it because I dont get to go out much, and I havent gone out to anything in awhile. Because it was advertised as a benefit, I didnt mind the $20 ticket price. I was expecting improv, but what I witnessed was hardly that. It was downright painful to watch as people stood on the stage for *minutes* without exchanging a word. Improv generally involves some audience participation. One audience suggestion per half hour isnt really participation, especially when the first suggestion is cat and no one can come up with a rhyme for it. I was so disappointed with the amateurishness that I left after 45 minutes. If it hadnt been a benefit, I would have asked for my money back -- it was that bad -- and I never do that. I *do* hope the money went to charity. Certainly no one did anything to earn it. I wont be going to Jet City Improv again. :(

This is my first online review for ANY establishment Ive been to in my life for anything, whether it be for food, services, goods, or otherwise. But I felt very compelled to write this one.Last night my sister took her boyfriend and I out for a *suprise* early Christmas gift, which ended up turning out to be a showing of Uncle Mike Ruins Christmas at Jet City Improv. I was excited when I found out, because a) my name is Mike and I am an uncle, which was especially fun and b) I havent seen any improv in a real theater and was in the mood for a new experience. The show did not meet my expectations, however .. it completely destroyed them by being 100x funnier, more engaging, and relateable than I could have imagined. Of course, this was my first time truly seeing improv by professionals, so take that into account when reading this review.I love comedy but it takes a lot for me to laugh, and I can confidently say I do not remember ever laughing as hard as I did last night in the past. The concept of the Uncle Mike Ruins Christmas show is so creative- they do a great job of making it a personal and interactive experience for the audience. The host is GREAT.. actually the ENTIRE cast is amazing. I was absolutely blown away by the talent that everyone on stage showed. Just incredible. They have a small snack selection, and a bar with a seemingly new but extremely friendly guy serving the drinks. The venue is definitely smaller but that makes the show much more entertaining.I cant speak for the other shows they put on, but I would say youll have a better time if you have a darker sense of humor. I do, and I think thats a big reason why I liked it so much.If I was a nitpicky type of person, I could probably find and list little things this place could do better, as far as the venue, etc. But I dont care one bit, because overall the experience was so incredibly entertaining that I wouldnt bother pointing out little quirks that actually add to the whole experience to me.Again, Ive never been to an improv show like this before, and I plan to attend these every weekend that I possibly can from here on out. And at ONLY FIFTEEN DOLLARS(!), with pretty affordable food and libations, this is one of the most bang-for-your-buck nights out that I have ever had. So so so so so much better than paying the same amount or more for a movie.I cant recommend this place enough. There is a reason this place has almost all 5-star reviews. I will bring anyone that ever visits me from out of town to this place. You have a new regular audience member right here. Take my money forever.

Their improvised plays are amazing! They also change their line up frequent enough that there is almost always something new to see. But they keep the shows running long enough that you can come see the same theme again with a whole new improvised story. I think I saw their pirate themed Black flag show every week it ran for a different swashbuckling take every time! They also do Twisted Flicks the last weekend of every month. Its where they play an old B movie but dub in new improvised dialog with a new score. Plus their front of house is run by volunteers so they can fund their community outreach programs, pretty cool.

Super fun! You can participate or sit back and enjoy the show. There are some beverage options (including a bar) and popcorn. Ive got three times so far. Once was for a play (themed improv) and twice for the regular open improv. Let them know if something special is going on in your group- like a birthday, and theyll bring you up on stage.
