I have been here several times. There is food, limited menu but everything I have had was good. Wait staff are efficient and effective at serving a high volume of people in the venue. Have seen several good headliner stand up comedians here. They also have guest spots so I get to see a lot of our talented local comics as well.

The comedy is good but that has less to do with the place than the individual performers. The food was good and the prices were not over what a restaurant in the area would charge. This is particularly impressive given the two drink requirement.

My husband and I had never actually been to a comedy club, and were gifted tickets to this specific comedy club for Christmas. We love watching comedians on tv and the web, but werent sure what to expect when walking in. They did have a minimum purchase of food and beverage per each customer to make sure they had money coming into the restaurant part but it was average appetizer foods and more on the menu.

$20 for about an hour and a half. Had a good time both times Ive gone. Small venue but that is part of the experience. Two drink maximum which I love for it being part of a bar. That is very important not to send people to drive home while too intoxicated.

Loved the comedians, I laughed so hard, such a great set. The room was packed and it really looked as though everyone enjoyed the set, the comedians really interacted with auidence.Great prices for drinks and food, great staff very attentive and cheerful. Im giving three stars strictly because of the buildings interior and exterior, the building looks unwelcoming.

Very disappointed with the customer service we just received on the phone by Angela. We just called to find out how much the show was for this evening and the first thing Angela said, Why do you wanna know? and my sister said, Well, we were thinking about walking over there for the show! We are staying at a motel in Seattle right now after I just had major surgery so we needed a comedy club close by. Angela then told her the price and then said, Well the show is sold out anyways. WTH? Dont be snotty to potential customers for one and for two just give the information out in the first place. Wouldnt go there even if the show wasnt sold out and we will find another comedy club that treats customers with a bit more respect - this was NOT funny!

The only TRUE comedy club in the greater Seattle and Bellevue area. Great owners, amazing staff and top notch acts from all corners of the globe. There is a two item minimum in the showroom, which is typical of any comedy club so just know that. Online tickets are always cheaper than at door tickets, so save money by ordering online. Also they have an email club you can sign up for and you will receive multiple offers of discounted tickets as well as free tickets for your birthday. Go support live comedy and check this place out as soon as possible

Laughs is a great club that is run by and staffed by some awesome people. The club itself feels very welcoming. Food and drinks are a step above your average comedy club offerings. But thats all secondary to what the club is about: comedy. Laughs has awesome shows from national headliners to local comedians. Laughs puts out great shows and gets so many different kinds of comedians that the place truly is something special.

It was my first time at this club and I was a little skeptical at first but that quickly changed. The guys checking people in for the show were very nice and professional. We had bought the tickets online a few hours before but they had no problem finding our reservation. The drink selection was a little disappointing but i made do and it didn’t effect my night at all. Their were a few comedians before the headliner came on. The last two (before the headliner) were hilarious the rest... their was too much awkward silence. The headliner was “Shang” and he was DA BEST COMEDIAN I’d seen live!! I laughed the ENTIRE time. I love comedy shows, I watch comedy online, TV and live often! I love it! It reminds people not to take life so seriously! I can honestly say It’s been years since I’ve laughed the ENTIRE time. I recommend Laughs comedy club!

Ga
Review №49

Laughs is the best comedy club in Seattle. Over 2 decades Ive been to them all, clubs that no longer exist, many times over. I love comedy, full stop. Laughs is best overall because they have a better seating layout with clear views to the stage. Hardly a bad seat in the house and unlike the competition, you are not forced to sit in your neighbors lap because management is squeezing customers in like cattle.Laughs is also the best club because the sound is full and clear, regardless of where you sit. The stage lighting is well done and small tea lights are on every table so you can read the menu and it feels like a better date night too. Laughs is the most professionally run club and most consistently fun to visit. The service is excellent and well trained to work around the more challenging environment of a comedy club. There is a full bar and the prices are fair although there is a drink minimum to be aware of.There are many good features of Laughs, so why not 5 stars? Well, lets be honest, nothing is perfect. The parking is limited, street only. On a busy night, you have a walk ahead of you and it is Seattle so probably in the rain. The food is best described as standard bar quality food. Not bad, not good. Deep fried cheese, edamame, burgers, fries, fish and chips, etc. All of these are fine but nobody will go back for the great food, at Laughs you go for the comedy.Which brings us to the final drawback and why Laughs is not perfect, but still our best comedy club. As with any club, the comedians are hit and miss, testing new material and the club trying new people. This is expected. Bringing back comedians that routinely bomb is unusual, and what I struggle to accept. Especially putting known not funnies in front of well known headliners. Ouch.Ok, lets bring this review home. You must go to Laughs Comedy Spot! This is the place for comedy in Seattle. Yes, we have other clubs and they are not bad but Laughs is consistently better in several important ways. Frankly, in all the many years Ive gone to Laughs across their locations, I have always had a good time and, well, laughed...

Great comedians, at a reasonable price! The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is the two-item minimum, which is a dishonest way to force people to pay extra money. I would gladly increase this to 5 stars were the minimum removed.

Review №64

For the most part, the headliners and lead-in comedians are great. Its a small venue so all seats are good unless a tall person sits right in front of a short person, but you can move your chair to the side. I gave only a three star because of their new policy of buying 2 items per person. The drinks and food are pretty good (although drinks tasted different than what we thought we ordered) and not that expensive; however, the price of food must be supporting them because our items came to more than the show cost. Also, they were not good about controlling the people for the second show; people were sneaking in, then getting kicked out. Need better management for this. It was a fun night, despite the bit of glitches and would go back again, and would not buy dinner before the show, as we did, in order to save our $ for the two-item requirement at this club.

We were here to see one of our favorite comedians. Not only was the show amazing, but the service was as well. First, in the bar area, the bartender was very kind and helpful. She continued to check in on us even though she was the only one working the bar as the place filled up. Then while we were watching the show, the staff was polite and unobtrusive. Top notch entertainment and first-class service make for a great evening - and Laughs has perfected that combination. There arent many choices of comedy clubs in Seattle, even so I wouldnt go here. The shows are sometimes ok but usually pretty bad and are quite expensive. for weekends $20 at the door, 2 item minimum + tip. That would be fine for good comedy, but thats not what you get. The website is very confusing and not updated. Sometimes you go to shows and it isnt the lineup advertised which happened to me once. For the open mic, Dave makes the list and just does whatever he wants with it. Its not how it says it will run on the website and also not how it says on the paper on the mic night. He will bump you for months on end and even if you were a regular for awhile he could completely not recognize you and then you need to start from scratch. Hell put people on the list who arent even present because they are professionals which is a loose and unclear definition. If they promise you one thing, theyll just take it back later.Dave sometimes yells and cusses people out which is inappropriate in any context but especially as a business owner at that business. He does this on facebook as well. Angela has made inappropriate comments to and about women. They always put on the same people. A lot of them are misogynistic men. They hardly ever put on women even though they pretend to be feminist with occasional charity shows. Once or twice a year doesnt undo the entire years worth of actions.

I visited this venue a couple of weeks ago. We arrived to the area an hour early and were worried wed have to kill time somewhere. This venue let people in early, which was nice because we could order food and drinks and got a table right by the stage. The lighting was good, it didnt feel overly loud or crowded. The length of show (around 1.5 hours) was a good amount of time and for $20 it felt very worth the entertainment. All of the comedians were hilarious! The only reason I didnt rate 5 stars were that a couple of the drinks seemed to completely lack alcohol (adds up quickly at $12ish a drink) but that could happen anywhere. The Manhattan drink was amazingly strong though. The food menu was smaller fingerfood plates but the edamame we ordered was a decent amount for two people to share. Other options (that we didnt try) were things like fish strips, chicken strips, possibly calamari? A few dessert options like chocolate cake. It is a good date night venue. Theres outlets along the wall where you could charge your cell phone if you are at one of those tables. We found street parking in a residential area only one short block over (three minute walk or less), so the walk wasnt far. Id definitely go back again!!
