Lovely little park. Feels more remote than it is. Very little parking. Dog friendly. Bathrooms were there but closed due to pandemic. Lower area was shady.

If you want to do a research about acorn woodpecker, come here. This place has lots of Acorn Woodpeckers. Their population here is so dense that you can hear them and see them constantly. Other birds include Bushtit, Downey Woodpecker, Creeper, Junco, sparrow, and Titmouse. The park has plenty of shades, free entrance, free parking. Not crowded.

Its a mini jungle in the middle of a suburban area with nature preserved as it is. While walking thru it, one can mostly hear birds chirping, squirrels running around and deer grazing in small herds. Most fascinating to watch are the woodpeckers at work! There is a tree riddled with holes drilled (pecked) by them near the rest area of the Grove :-)

Excellent park that is not too crowded. Two parking entrances on both sides of the park, bathroom facilities, and great views. The lower part of the park is filled with pretty oak trees and a great amount of shade. A good amount of wildlife (woodpeckers, squirrels, rabbits with the chance of seeing even more!) and lovely wildflowers.

Guadalupe Oak Grove and Jeffery Fontana Park are Blossom Valley Gems. This is a great place for a short hike or walk among some Great Oaks. There are some beautiful views, you can bring your dog and the kids wont complain about the adventure being too long (who am I kidding, yes the kids will complain).

An amazingly peaceful and private place for public park. Two nice peaks with views of south SJ and Mt Umunhum. Plenty of benches with good vistas. Woodpeckers everywhere in the Live Oak grove! Large fenced-in dog run at the edge of the park. Wed probably drive an hour to visit a place this nice . . . and its minutes away if you live in SJ.

The best little hiking spot in almeden valley. The small trails offer a quick get away if youre not it the mood to go on a day hike. There is beautiful plants and trees everywhere. The TJ Martin dog park is usually packed with big dogs, and some regulars dont pay attention to their big dogs (that blond lady) but it is still worth a visit! I love the history of Guadalupe oak park, so many hidden treasures. There are silly squirels, owls, jack rabbits, and woodpeckers that say hello! This is a perfect place to climb to the top hill and watch the sunset, the top hill is located very close to the north gate. And there is abundant street parking near the north entrance.
