Course is in HORRIBLE condition! I cant believe that I payed $51 to play this course. Before I started, I noticed that the starter was starting groups of 2 and then 5 and then 3! No common sense at all! We were a 3 some and were started behind a 5 some...needless to say it was a 5 1/2 hour round! Only positive was the greens were in good condition. If they spent half the time on the rest of the course as they do the greens, it would be worth the money. Sand traps were not worked in the morning, just very wet and packed. This was my first round in the San Jose area since moving here, and Im sure that there are better courses than this one. I wont be returning to this golf course.

Nice urban public course very few hazards where you will actually loose your balls. Getting a cart can be tricky. Lots of folks on push carts.

Great golf course and great practice range. Course is a little rough with the greens and maintenance, but with the high demand in golf right now, it is totally justifiable. I understand these are troubling days (Covid-19 and the world) and the stresses that the workers are enduring right now, however the pro shop staff have a huge attitude problem and are extremely unprofessional. They need to be reeducated in customer service or find a new career. Obviously customer service is not the career for them

I really love this facility. No frills, but everything for the novice to professional. Great driving, chipping and putting resources. Fully stocked pro shop, fitting resources, clinics and lessons. Greens fees are reasonable, the restaurant has good food at reasonable prices and the staff friendly and helpful. I was there on a cold, but sunny afternoon in Feb and the grounds looked great.If youre looking for a reasonably priced, casual day of golf with full service facility I can think of no better place.

Good course, fair condition. Pretty good greens for a muni. Mix of long and short holes, nice range facility. Well stocked pro shop, and a nice cafe/bar area. The staff has usually been pretty friendly and helpful. Play can be a little slow. Ample parking, and nice practice green.

Slowest round of golf that I’ve played in 15+ years. The course is fine, fairly flat, and decent for a muni course. Never again would I play here though. They do not care that they stack groups on top of one another. Very disappointing.

Update - 9/18/2020 from 1 to 4 stars - Its COVID-19 and I found a T-time at noon with discounted price for $33 walking, so I took it to try out to see how it plays.The pro-shop was quite efficient, they bummed my single T-time @ 12:45 to join the group of 2 some earlier, so I got out early, thats quite nice. The 2 youngsters I played with were quite nice.The fairways and greens were very excellent for this time of year, early fall? The round went just right, it could be faster providing its on a Thursday, little over 4 hours.Glad there were no maintenance people driving around and I didnt see any transients walking, may be its not on the weekend.The bunkers are still not fine and of course therere NO rakes. I only went in 1 time and I took it out of the bunker to chip.Anyhow, it was a great round with the pleasant group and other golfers. I took all the holes pictures with the SwingU satellite map.I went here last year with some friends, made a mistake and bought a 5 weekend rounds after 1PM for $125. This is not a bad golf course, just flat and boring. The clienteles is one of the negatives things, some have no golf etiquette what so ever or even being considerate. The dress code is never enforced here, people with plain offensive T-shirts, drinking beers, getting drunk and holding everyone back. I bought the card so I had to use it 3 more time this year, the clientele is the same, but today was the worst with the Golf Course management, they had the maintenance people driving around, watering the GREEN while people are putting , didn’t wait for them to finish the putting, I called and pro-shop said it’s their maintenance guys doing their job. I know this is San Jose where anything can happen, but this is quite a disrespectful to the players. I have never seen any golf course like this in all the golf courses I’ve played for years. There were transients walking on the golf course waiting for a golf ball to hit to make trouble because they moved slowly across the fairways, I saw a bicycle rider on the golf course. None of my rounds here was faster than 4:30 hr, average 5hrs.Yes, I have one round to play on the card, and it has to be on the weekends, which is horribly slow and have to deal with all these un-golf-like things.May be I just give the credit to one of my SJ resident friend, he may get used to it.

Widely open. Wont need many balls as its fairly easy to find. Mostly flat. The fairway is well maintained, but the play pace can be slow.

It is a good golf course for those who start playing golf. The fairway is flat, straight, and no undulation. A golf course that gives all golfers equal happiness. Fun events are often held.

As always the course and greens are in good shape for the amount of play.

Fairways were good, rough was not bad. Bunkers were terrible, hard sand with plants growing in them. Overall a good experience!

Poorest golf experience in my recent memory. Be prepared for 5.5 hours of 18-hole round. They book tee-times so close to each other, and I heard from other golfers that it always takes 5 hours or more to finish a round. On Par-3 holes, 3 groups were waiting in line (no kidding). Greens are very slow even on a very sunny & dry day (you dont want to get used to this kind of green). There are other muni courses at similar prices with much better quality and the pace of play.

The upper deck ranges are in excellent condition. Very nice experience.

A great place to go and practice your long and short game. Driving range has a bunch of berths, I havent had to wait yet.

Went for their wonderful summer concert series. Lovely spot: you can watch the band, watch the golf and watch the sunset! The snack bar has a big menu with all the expected items plus a few delightful surprises. The chicken sandwich was bigger than expected and very tasty. Beer was wet!

Fun and forgiving course.

This is a solid municipal track. Great practice facilities and the restaurant has good food and a nice beer selection.

Great course, range, putting greens. .. Nice place all around. You can obviously tell the grounds are well maintained.Today I stop by for a visit to the range, only to find out that there is a live band playing. Always a good time here.

Very flat and open course. Perfect for beginners and those out for a relaxing day.Can be slow when weather is good. (4.5-5 hour round)Very good practice facilities with 2 story range, chipping green, putting green and 2 practice bunkers.Employees are always friendly and welcoming.

My home course. Better than normal conditions for a muni course. Easy but challenging, short, & well maintained.Double deck driving range with lights & heaters for cold winter nights.Clubhouse is good for drinks after a round but the food is so so.

Driving range is good, but it gets really windy in the afternoon and evening. Chipping and putting green is nice too, usually is good condition. Sand traps are hit or miss.The course is nice, not too easy and not too hard. I feel that the ground can be a bit soft at times, but summer time conditions are generally good. It backs up on weekends

Not a particularly interesting course lay-out, but greens are very nicely conditioned and does not feel beat-up like many munis. Golf shop has a ton of selection, food is good, and indoor (or outdoor) bar is a great area to post-round lament while watching sports. Friendly staff round out a solid experience.

Great bombers course. Very forgiving. It does get crowded though. For the amount of traffic on the greens, its kept in great condition.

Play the ton and his remarkable shape given that although it didnt drain well after the rains its in two days later there was still standing water on the course the greens roll true but are very hard and and not receptive to spend you got to run everything up on to him but thats okay cuz theyre in there in really good shape I dont know you know I always enjoy playing that gets a little slow sometimes on the weekend

Nice golf range in the area, surprised more people dont come here since its in a nice area. Theres a snack machine near the clubhouse that stole my dollar though, please repair!

Ill start by saying that the greens are in great condition. And thats a really big deal for someone whos coming from Florida and greens were often terrible. I really was going to give this four stars because the layout is ho-hum but given the price point this is actually a great course for the money.

Classic Muni course. Pace of play was reasonable, pretty wide and flat. Greens are in good shape. The grill in the clubhouse was solid. Get the tacos.

I grew up playing this course and played here for my high school golf team so it has a special place in my heart. Its in good shape, the greens roll well and the layout is nice.

Great place to pool lay public golf especially if youre a walker

My husband and I really enjoy playing this course. We are both older, so the flatness of the course is great for us. In general, the fairways and greens are in good shape. The one thing I wish they would stop doing is allowing fivesomes, which I was informed they allow once each hour. We played behind one yesterday, and it was painfully slow.

Ive only used the driving range,and the chipping area, but they pretty good except when the sun is setting you cant even see where you ball is going

Thursday evening live bands 6:00 to 8:00 during the Summer. Great idea after a round of golf or even just to drop in for a drink & bite to eat.

Nice course, well maintained greens, the staff was helpful and made sure a good pace of play was maintained. Not the hardest course but it is fun, Ill be back.

Good course to play if you are just learning the game, pretty wide open. Although the driving range is mat only, its lighted so you can hit balls until 10:30pm

Cant comment on the 18 hole course but we have gone to the driving a couple of times and we have always found open bays to some balls. The machines are on the first floor and take credit card which is really nice. Plus there is plenty of parking.

Fair price and course was in great condition. Not very difficult.

San jose muni is a fun place to play 18 holes for all levels. The condition is good for a muni and it is a nice layout

Booked several days in advance $70 Saturday rate. Arrived 30 minutes early for check in and told they were so busy with Tournaments that there was not a cart available and that I would need to walk. Guy behind counter was a real Jerk. Have been playing there about once a month for years, wont happen again.

Bought golf lessons. Very difficult to book time. Had the worst instructor, just talked for more than 45 minutes. Completely waste of money. Forfeited the second lesson. Just talked about who he coached the past, who cares.

Great for a Public Course; fun course to play...especially since I was in San Jose for a business conferences @ the SJ Convention Center - good place to end the workday for sure! LOL!

Overall, pretty disappointing. WAY over priced for the quality of course provided! Golf on Saturday, with a cart, for me and my 13 yr old son, was $120!!!!! Ive played courses that host PGA events that dont charge that much. We payed and played anyway... the fairways had not been cut for 3 or 4 days (very hairy), the bunkers had not been raked, the layout was very 1970s with no aesthetic agriculture or landscaping...which would explain the high green fees....but the greens themselves were in good shape. Overall not a good experience....and Needless to say, I will not be attending this course again and do not recommend going there unless you just have nowhere else to go. Definitely a last resort golf course.
