Awesome experience at Golf Galaxy today! Getting fitted for new clubs today with Ted. He was so patient working with me! He taught me a lot and spent a lot of time teaching me how to swing properly and helped me with my grip. I bought a new set of clubs and cant wait to get onto the course and use the new clubs and helpful tips for a better golfing experience. I highly recommend Golf Galaxy for all your golf gear! Thanks Ted! You da man! Cheers! John B. San Jose...

Quite a large golf store, organized, clean, friendly staff with custom fittings, a small putting area. The variety of equipment, clothing supplies are quite nice. It also has a service department!

I had some issues with my driver as the regular flex wasnt working for me that I bought online. Paul was amazing to work with me, figure out a solution that went above and beyond to what they should do. Oh and in the middle of all this game me awesome golf tips. Best customer experience at a golf shop, by far

Had a club fitting with Paul in the house Bayhouse( super knowledgeable )since needing new clubs and my custom clubs were stolen ; ( . Wacked away at some clubs that would improve my game as well as fitted to correct length : not too small or too big! Important!!!! All the clubs felt very sweet upon quick pointers from Paul ; ) the computer measures distance, arc, and direction. Great hitting analysis. Now armed with good analysis , suggested club for my player type, I know what to look for. Great way to have fun and hit variety of golf irons, with an instructor.... priceless!

This store has seen its ownership changes a few time. It is tough for real store to compete with online store. But it is still nice to try the merchandises. I would buy from them even if the price is slightly higher. Really a candy store for golfers

I walked in and asked for help buying a new set. They told me I would be better off trying to find something online. Employees clearly have zero incentive to sell products. I figured they would be happy to help me build a new set to buy. So I ended up walking out with nothing. Will never spend a dollar in their stores.

Just recently started playing golf about a month ago. Got some used clubs and have been learning about the game. I came into this store for the first time because one of my clubs was too long for me. I found out that you can cut down and even add length to your irons. So I came here to get my iron cut down. It was 2.5 inches over standard size from what the tech told me. He cut it down the shaft to standard length for me and was even able save and reused my grip. As of 7/92020. It was $3.99 to cut down the shaft & $5.99 to salvage and re-grip the club. If they werent able to salvage the grip they told me I wouldnt have to pay the $5.99. Great store and great service. Also only took 15 mins to get all the work done.

Went in to buy some clubs in San Jose,Ca. However, I was blatantly ignored. I never felt so un-welcomed in a store. As I was standing there (20-25 minutes), a caucasian gentlemen came and stood right next to me and was helped right away. It was so obvious...I was finally helped after finding someone who would give me the time of day but by that time I was so annoyed that I just asked a couple of questions and left. I thought we were passed this but Golf Galaxy employees never got the memo. Diversity training or unconscious bias training perhaps? It doesnt end there....after receiving a phone call from management I decided to give them another try. I got fitted on August 14th for the Taylormade Sim Max irons. They told me that due to a growing interest in Golf and COVID-19 that it would ship in 6 weeks. September 28th was the confirmed date. I thought, fair enough! Knowing this, I planned a golf trip for October 10th with some friends in SoCal....September 28th rolls around and I call for tracking information. Turns out that my clubs are on backorder indefinitely. They didnt know when they would ship. What made me irate is that I received no correspondence prior to me calling. They were nonchalant with their apology. If I wouldnt have called they would have never notified me. To make a short story long...I asked for a full refund and went to the PGA Superstore in Palo Alto. Turns out, instead of having me only hitting the Sim Mxx and fitting me with the Taylormade irons, they had me hit 5 different clubs and we actually narrowed down which clubs I hit better. Im now Team Callaway. How much does a customer cost? A lot...because all of my business is now going to PGA Superstore.

Sales manager Steve was a great help. He called to me when I was looking at a driver. Gave me many insights into drivers, and even suggested an older model as being very good but way marked down. Steve wasnt the only employee to help me as I spent about an hour trying out various drivers at their nice practice net facilty. The screen you hit in has a graphic representation of what your shot would look like. I was looking for a new driver. Drivers being expensive, Steve suggested I try a few, come back more than once and keep trying until I was confident. He also mentioned an older model similar to one I was trying, which was steeply discounted. I really felt they were trying to help me get the best club for my use and budget. As far as golf equipment, Ill come back here for it.

Good selection and decent prices. Id say the employees are questionable in their ability to help or discuss the products. Only a few of them seem to check in with customers and offer their knowledge. Thats probably their model though; have a few folks who know a bit about golf and then hire a bunch of sales associates that can clean and ring someone up.

I was there with 2 friends visiting from out of town. We bought three clubs. A young female cashier, white, brunette hair, slimmer built, didnt say hi, didnt smile at all. After I paid, she asked me if Id like to have the price sticker removed from the shaft. I said that would be great. She apparently didnt like my answer and too pain to removed the stickers in a snail fashion. After she is done, I thanked her. She didnt say thank you to me (for spending over $700 on three drivers). She kept her mouth shut, her face straight and gave me a look.My two out of town buddies thought I was nuts even going to a store with such a poor service. I hope I just met a bad cashier.

While trying out putters I had a salesperson approach me,during our conversation he stated that mere physics makes it impossible for the swing plane to travel straight back & thru which Id told him That was the stroke I have. I just wish salespeople would not speak when they dont know WT- theyre talking about !! Hes still there since Golf galaxy took over

Heads up at checking out. Bought FJ rain jacket with purple dot for additional 25% discount. But a casher asked me to pay the original price..... I asked him to apply the discount and he said he did not know that discount. And he said the same 2 more jacket were sold in the morning. Either he tried to deceive me or made 2 customer dum....

About two years ago I went to Golfsmith in San Jose to get fitted and replace shafts of my 3 and 4 irons. The order was to install +1/2 longer than standard DG S300s. The result? 3i was 39.5 (looks good but its not over) and 4i was standard 38.5. Drove in again to get 4i extended to 38.75 since I thought +1/4 would be OK. Then I found the grip on 3i was not firmly installed, so it was actually 39.25. Alright I had to replace the grip.Thats not the end of the story. Today I just found that the 3i was actually soft stepped and 4i was double soft stepped...?! My god! After all these years! No wonder Ive always felt weird when playing 3i/4i/5i together!I had much better experience going to Golfmart in Dublin area. They may have a smaller shop but service is IMPECCABLE.

Very bad experience with their manager KEVIN today! I felt accused from him because an employee forgot to take the alarm pin off from a sweater I bought. Drove back there again from Fremont home just to ask them to take the pin off. No apology no smile no customer service from him, I guess he is the MANAGER and there is no one bigger than him. Ill probably have to go to GolfMart from now........
