Very cool, unique building you’ve probably seen in movies and television shows over the years. Visible from a lot of different spots in the city - actually a good landmark when walking around and trying to figure out if your going the right direction.

So fascinating this building....its iconic and interesting. Not great parking anywhere but on weekends is a good time to visit.

I stayed right down the road from this place, at the Europa Hotel, on Broadway and Columbus. It was really cool to see it at night, as well as the day. In the morning time the top of it was covered with fog. I never went inside of it though.

When I first saw the building, I was amazed by the design . Each side is a triangle and can be seen from far away.. Then I started to walk toward it to see the front. It was christmas time, and the building was decorated with flowers. It was beautiful and one of the best architectural pieces!

Iconic building in San Francisco. Has it’s own small park right behind and it’s a cool spot to bring your lunch and just hang out for a while if you work in downtown

An iconic part of the SF skyline for many years

We regularly espied this grand and distinctive edifice as we walked around the city. We looked forward to visiting it. Dating from the early 1970s, it has an attention grabbing profile, towering into the skyline. It was interesting to learn that it was built on the site of Montgomery Block that in its time was a terminus of the Pony Express. After admiring the elegant facade features we stepped into the foyer. Some attractive artworks are to be viewed in addition to plaques to its antecedent.

Such an iconic landmark, worth seeing and visiting from a ton of different viewpoints in the city. A really unique and individual part of the San Francisco skyline. You get a good vantage point from a few piers as well as some neighborhoods nearby that have good direct views.

I visited the Transamerica Pyramid, which is a business building, and spent time at the Transamerica Pyramid Redwood Park.The building was built in 1972 and was for a period of time the tallest building in San Francisco. With the recent high rise building going on in San Francisco, it has now been replaced by such building such as the Sales Force Building.

A beautiful architecture gem on SFs skyline. There is a small park north from the building to enjoy the view from close.

All I can say right now,. Is that its deep and the Pyramid is Holy. I feel at peace when Im there. I love San Francisco Bay Area and the beach is great too. Lovely and peaceful.

A very unique looking building that is dated back to the 70’. In chilly days, you could also see the clouds passing by it. In close up it looks a bit scary to me due to its height and shape haha. Has not been inside but apparently this is one of San Francisco’s iconic buildings. Used to be the tallest building in San Francisco.

Yes, a touristy thing to do, but hey - When in RomeAn iconic building, (who doesnt know it?) it seems solid. Construction gives off the sense that its strong. Quite strong. No tour or entry granted but Im sure the views are nothing short of spectacular.

Building is totally awesome.Its very tall.But it is not allowed to go inside.

Interesting looking building. Unfortunately you cannot go inside so there is no point in actually going to the building. Best to look at our from afar.

A modern national treasure. If you are spending a day or two in the city, make sure to drop by ground level at least and take a look around and up! You may or may not be able to go in, check with the front desk (I went on a Sunday).

The Talles building in SF until very recently... This building is in its mid 40s and looks like a 2020 structure... The Redwood park with a collection of bronze still lifes also stands out!

A unique looking building. Beautiful in its own way. From a distance looks tall but when I visualize ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER next to it in my mind, I realize that this uniquely beautiful building is half the height of NYCs iconic tower.Transamerica Pyramid is also a very iconic building and is San Franciscos alone much like how Empire State is to NYC.A wonderful iconic structure to appreciate. Can be seen from nearly anywhere in SF.

This place gets ONE STAR because as of yet they do not have an observation deck where tourists can come in and enjoy the top view. I asked the security downstairs and he told me they do not have an open observation deck. Its hard to believe such a beautiful building in San Francisco does not have a observation deck. One Star.

Scariest place in the entire city. Highest security you will ever encounter. What the hell is going on in there? Nobody knows

A really interesting building. Most unique when seen from afar. One of the iconic sights of San Francisco. Its located near Chinatown, so if one visits the Chinatown area, just take a quick stroll to admire the huge tall pyramid like structure here.

Very cool building. My kids and I loved it!Theres a Starbucks right across the street but the walk from BART is far! Be careful when seeing it during commute hour because there are a lot of grumpy commuters trying to get to work.It was a perfect starting point for our day in North Beach.

The building is a tall, four-sided pyramid with two wings to accommodate an elevator shaft on the east and a stairwell and a smoke tower on the west.The top 212 feet (65 m) of the building is the spire. There are four cameras pointed in the four cardinal directions at the top of this spire forming the Transamerica Virtual Observation Deck. Four monitors in the lobby, whose direction and zoom can be controlled by visitors, display the cameras views 24 hours a day.

A real impressive building. You are , however, not allowed to go up there since it has been closed for the public. Nevertheless, he staff inside the building is very nice and answer any questions for stupid tourist like me... ;)

I work out of The Transamerica brand. And I was able to visit the top floor. Only few have ever had the once in a lifetime chance to visit the 48th floor.

The Transamerica Pyramids distinctive geometry and concrete exterior finished with crushed quartz make it one of the most distinctive skyscrapers in San Francisco, as well as the tallest building in the city. Unfortunately the observation deck is now permanently closed, but they do have video feeds on the lobby floor, which is much less fun and not really worth seeing. Its very cool to see the building from the adjacent streets, the architecture is very imposing up close!

If you have a chance to go to the top (Floor 47), has amazing views of San Francisco. Stop in and ask for a guest pass. That will get you up there.

Interesting looking building, but no observation deck or public access. There is a cute redwood tree park next door that is open to the public during the day and used by a lot of people for eating lunch.The Transamerica Pyramid was the tallest building in San Francisco from 1972 to 2016. The new tallest building is still under construction (Salesforce Tower); unknown if there will be a public viewpoint on that one.

Walked around the building, theres a nice cozy park, quiet n peaceful. Great building, pyramid architectural design.

Quintessentially San Francisco!! The Transamerica Pyramid is iconic in its design. Completed in 1972, this building still wows onlookers. There is a relaxing Redwood Park on the Eastern side of the building..a great place to relax and take in the view.
