When you walk in here you feel like if died right now it would be okay, my soul is preserved. This is a wonderful place of worship. Its 100% open and in these times it there needs to be a place of worship.

A beautiful catholic Church close to the Washington Square and in walking distance from the Beat Museum and City Lights Bookstore. The Church is a good place to pray, for silence and quietness. It is moderately decorated and solemn. Worth a visit if you are interested in churches ans spirituality.

San Francisco was such a beautiful place. Everything just seemed so magnificent and that church is no different, it sits in the middle of like a flat like a downslope its just totally gorgeous. I wish I could go back all the time.

One of the historic sites to visit in San Francisco. Next to Washington Square in North beach. Understand it was built by the ITALIAN community in San Francisco. Quite a building. Magnificent interior and majestic. Parkings are ample on the surrounding streets. There are a few good restaurants in the area. Like the Mama’s Cafe for breakfast, Giovanni for pizza, and Mario’s. Nice day out to walk around in the neighborhood.

Wonderful US example of old world catholic cathedral. Great place to rest, view beautiful architecture and art, meditate, feel the ambiance of a catholic haven.

This is a seriously beautiful church. If you go at the right time you can go inside and see its true inner beauty. It is very quiet inside so if you have small kids or kids who dont sit still Id recommend visiting from the outside. Washington square is across the street and offers lots of grass for picnics and pictures.

Beautiful catholic church. A lot of decorations, but not overwhelming. Perfect spot for a prey. Clean, estetic, doors open for people during the day. I wish I could attend a mass there,,unfortunately I could stay there only for a moment, but its worth to come in.

Beautiful.....I felt things when looking at the Altar

Fantastic piece of architecture.

I have admired this magnificent church since I first saw it many years ago. Located across the street from Washington Square which can be quite seedy it is a sight that is a welcomed marked contrast. There used to be a preschool just up the block named Saints Peter and Paul Preschool where I use to drop off my four year old run by a great teacher name Mabel. After dropping my child I walked up the corner to Mamas for a hearty breakfast and stroll afterwards before picking up my child. Some things have changed in this neighborhood but this church is as majestic as I remember it.

Across the street from Washington Square Park in the North Beach section.Built in 1924, best known for pictures of Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe after their wedding at City hall because he never had his first wedding annulled.

Magnificent church.

Sunday mornings, we bundle up, and walk down to the church on our way to Chinatown for dim sum to watch to artists set up their paintings. My son is in Santa Rosa, California, but I live in Las Vegas. We dont have any parks or churches like Peter and Paul. They stand and make the city magical, especially when you are from Nevada. The folks practicing martial arts, the volleyball players, the artists showcasing their art, and of course, the church goes entering to pray in the center of the citys North Beach.
