Had a good time enjoying the panoramic view of the city. It was a short hike up the hill and windy. Its a bit difficult to find a parking.

Ive been to the top of the Corona Heights Park at least 50 times. Each time Im there is like the first. It is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. The boats passing under the Golden Gate Bridge look like little toys.I recommend biking to the top in the morning to watch the sun rise. You will feel alive!

Corona Heights is a great lil hilltop park. It has great hiking. The park has a fenced in dog play area. There is ample seating all through the park.Oh yeah, did I mention the beautiful San Francisco Bay Views see even from the flatlands within the park. The park can be very windy so bring a hoodie.

A true gem! How often do you find a beautifully landscaped park in the middle of a crowded, urban city. Not to mention, this park is huge! Lots of cute little areas to explore within it like Shakespeare garden of flowers, stow lake, Japanese tea garden, DeYoung Museum, and so on. After a stressful day, taking a stroll is so relaxing. Highly recommend checking it out.

Rugged park with steep, unmaintained paths that lead to the a crown of jagged rocks with sweeping views of the city. There is a fair amount of atreetaide parking below and you can either take the short hike from the top (it’s less than a minute) or a much longer 30 minute hike that snakes it’s way up from below. If you do the second path, there is a nature center which is nice to stop in for. Other than that, wear good shoes and be prepared for a lot of steps!

Great views, but lots of trash all over the place. Park fences, steps, and trails are in an overall state of disrepair, but still navigable to any able-bodied person. The views are certainly memorable and there is lots of space for kids to explore and unwind. Accounting for the views, I would say the main issue with this park is how poorly it is maintained. However, San Fransisco is pretty filthy overall, so I cant say this park is any worse than the surrounding neighborhoods and parks.

This place is beautiful. My girlfriend and I came here our first week in SF and its well worth the visit. Its a lovely little family friendly hike to the rocks at the top. There are a bunch of little trails and a lot of great areas to play in. Even better, theres a pleasant dog park attached.I cant speak to how itll be when there are events, but neighborhood parking does look like itd fill up fast. Lets be honest, though. Public transportation is really ideal in the city for a lot of things. All in all, this is a great spot to come and relax or to run around and play.

Corona Heights Park offers a wonderful 360 degree view of San Francisco. Ever since stumbling upon the park during my first visit in 2013, it has remained a staple of my subsequent regular visits for work. Whether viewing the city in sunshine or fog, this is the place to go.

This park is amazing, and I love the rocks that you can hang out on at the very top of the hike. Just one star removed because of the recent crowds that form on the trails and the resting places on top. With that said, you can get an incredible view of the city from up here!

Corona heights is by far my favorite viewpoint of San Francisco. It is relatively unknown so it is not as busy as other view points like Twin Peaks. This being said, there is a little effort involved to get to see this great view. One has to walk about two hundred meters up hill to be able to enjoy the panoramic scenery. However, once at the top you will not be disappointed.

Review №34

An absolutely incredible little spot. My preferred entrance is near the tennis court on 15th street (next to the preschool)--it gives you a woodsy climb with really nice ups and downs. Quite a bit of it is step-less, so wear shoes that wont slip on the dirt. The entrance on Roosevelt near the dog park is a lot less challenging, significantly shortly, and more leisurely, but fine if youre not one for hiking.Once you summit, youre given by far the best views in SF--you wont see the Golden Gate Bridge (blocked by Buena Vista right next door), but you have a far better, 360 view of the city itself. Strongly recommend summiting for sunrise, its absolutely breathtaking. There arent many people, so your view will be almost completely unobstructed.Strongly, strongly recommended for a beginner or a leisurely urban hike.

There are amazing views of the West to South to the East side of San Francisco. You also get good views of San Francisco Bay as wellThe hike from the park base to the top is fairly non technical. There are stairs to nearly the top. You can the scramble your way to the top of the rocks. The park is dog friendly. In the afternoon, you can see the fog roll over Sutro Tower into Now Valley. The only thing to beware of is the wind at the top. You can lose your hat.

I can see people standing on The Fist at the top of Corona Heights from my window. I make regular walks to the park as a matter of getting a good cardio workout. In addition to the hill and park serving humans for recreation and exercise, there is a sizable dog park available for those with dogs.

We decided wed head out over to Corona Heights after breakfast one day.You can take the muni metro from downtown and then its a steep walk up a few residential side streets to find the park nestling at the top. There are various entrances usually via tiny access alleys. The walk to the top is certainly more of a hike, it is stepped but not hard standing etc. The views are 360 and spectacular. Its well worth it for that top of town vista, but be prepared to work for it. Castro is nearby too for a different route back downtown if desired.

There are two spots in San Francisco to get a clear view of the city from an area with height. Twin Peaks is my normal destination. However, I saw another hill that would put my viewpoint even closer to downtown, thus reducing the amount of smog in my photographs. Googlemaps revealed that to be Corona Heights Park. After rolling to that neighborhood, I could not find any street parking as the locals take up all of the spots. Finally, I found the Randall Museum with a parking lot that was wide open. Behind the museum is a trail that leads you to the top of the park. Simply stated, these are the types of photographs that you can get from there.
