For those who looked for a movie house and the place to hang out with, this movie house was the best for you! The staff here were accommodating, informative, and decent. Besides, the foods that they served were hot, and the drinks taste good. The arrangement of the movie house was organized and comfortable. Also, the screen was big and clear. It was truly the best to visit here!

A bit pricey for tickets and movie munchies but love the high ceilings and cleanliness. There are plenty of movie times to choose from. The theaters are not underwhelming. I really like that you can select your own seats.

Im sorry, but this place was just strange. We didnt even see a movie theater but went for the shops inside and there were only 2 retail with really strange items and a tea room, as in English tea. This is in Japantown. Nothing fit in.

If you’re going to Japan town and I recommend you stop by this place. There some very cute stores and an interesting little tea shop on the bottom floor. I recommend exploring that Japan center across the street and then coming over to have a cuppa tea and people watch.

Neat little theatre in Japan town! With Kabuki across the street, the CAAM Fest is what brought me here. It is a very intimate setting below ground level. There is also a tea shop in the entrance. It is a cool spot!

I bought the coolest pair of tabi shoes and three pairs of socks at the sou sou store. They also had an amazing selection of clothes. And the man who sold me the shoes was literally the nicest person Ive ever met in my entire life.If I wasnt broke Id be spending all my money there, the clothing is so bomb, and the service is a+10/10 would spend my rent money there again.

Pretty cool venue that has a mashup of random store fronts. From coffee shops to Japanese fashion stores to a terrarium store to a floor where Real Escape game happens, you can get a taste of Japan when you walk in here. The stores change occasionally and there is even a movie theater downstairs. Cool place to just take a stroll and window shop.

I love walking around here. The middle floors are full of manga fun. The top floor is usually an art gallery. They have a cafe on the ground floor, but I usually skip it because its too pricey.

Great place to see some J-pop culture. Mezzanine level has Maru-Q which has a great assortment of modern clothes from Japan. 2nd floor has a variety of stores - SouSou is a definite shop to check out with unique Japanese fashions that have a traditional/modern edge to it.

Five stars for the originality alone! Movie theatre in the underground floor, cafe on the main floor and shopping and art on the upper levels. The main boutique area has unique items from Japan, but tend to be on the pricier side. Things I liked were the handheld manual paper shredder and J-POP souvenir mugs.Upstairs, just like at a Japanese department store, there are mini stores within the building. One in particular has the Lolita fashion featuring the style that reminds me of Holly Hobbie-meets-Little Bo Peep. Not exactly my cuppa tea, but it is refreshing to see lacy petticoats as opposed to the whole sexy schoolgirl look that used to be in. Out of curiosity, I picked up the price tag. Whoa $300 to look like a grown up doll?!?Other stores were the tabi Vans. Well, not really Vans, but similar except you have the split toe and the requisite socks to go with them. Really cool fabrics! They were around $90 or so. Another shop that just opened featured air plants and moss balls. The perfect place to pick up something for the person who has everything.Unfortunately the art gallery was shut, so I couldnt check it out. But next time Im in J-town, Im definitely coming back!

New People reminds me of the smaller boutique malls in Shibuya. The concept is fantastic and definitely worth visiting even just to do a bit of window shopping. I also recommend checking out the Viz Cinema located on the bottom floor as it usually screens interesting movies or anime. If only they can have some later shows during the weekends, it would be perfect.

This place emulates Japanese culture with its small tea house on the lower level, and clothing stores on the upper levels. We stopped by this location during last weekends Ramen/ JPop Festival in Japantown. It definitely was a surprise. The lower level teahouse has your generic coffee shop food, but the upper levels were where the fun happened. On the second floor there is a shop that sells some decorative costumes as well as more traditional Japanese clothing. When we were there, there was a long line of people dressed up waiting for the designer to come and do a signing. She was also there to present new costumes for people to wear and model. We didnt stay long for fear of crowds, but it all seemed pretty cool!

This is better than the St. Francis Apartments on the other side across Geary. This place gets confused with the other side of Geary location on Google Maps because it says the San Francisco Film Society is over there. Google Maps (from a Facebook link) has it located over there. It had me looking for it over in that block. Very frustrating and had me lost for an hour.
