I enjoy coming here during the weekend. The vibe I get from the area is pretty awesome everyone’s friendly yet mind their own business which I love. I definitely always recommend my friends to come here at least once a month to watch movies and experience the great service that they have and a comfy and cozy place. Highly recommended!

In a city brimming with excellent movie theaters, the Presidio is among my top choices! Its small but quaint, has fair prices for food & beverages, it has that classic old school cinema vibe, its in a beautiful area of the city with some great shops & dining options nearby, and best of all, the theaters offer terrific viewing from virtually ever seat in the house. The slope per row is quite steep, meaning there likely wont be any heads blocking the screen from your view AND you wont strain your neck looking up at a screen for a couple hours - even the lower seats are lined up quite perfectly with the screen.Tips: the movie started about 10 minutes after its scheduled starting time after a couple trailers meaning you have a bit of wiggle room if you are running late, and (at the time of writing this) tickets on online website such as Fandango are $15, but $14 at the door. There is no reserved seating, but perhaps if youre worried of the theater selling out, that extra dollar might be worth it.

This is a very interesting movie house I have been through. This was a great experience for everyone because the employees are so friendly, attentive, and professional, and the whole movie house is set up so well for families and friends. Staff comes to your seat to take your order and deliver it all directly to your seat. Highly recommended!

I automatically rate any neighborhood theatre 5 stars because its a NEIGHBORHOOD theatre and not a gigantic huge multiplex. One request: please install coat hangers on the toilet stall doors in the mens restroom. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

It’s a cute neighborhood theater. They should replace the seats, the fabric is falling a part and there are stains all over the seats. The staff are very nice. The sound and quality of the movies are very good in comparison to larger corporate movie theaters! It’s a great option if you want to avoid the larger crowds downtown and want to support your local businesses!

I love seeing movies at the two small theaters (Presidio and Marina) on Chestnut Street. I always pick these two theaters over any of the large ones as I always have a better time there. Cute, cozy, and fun. Nice to support smaller businesses too! Grab a drink at Campus on a Tuesday after the movie as Jess is my favorite bartender!

This charming vintage theater was quiet and cozy. Not much of a large crowd at all. It was a nice place to sit back and enjoy a movie after walking all over hilly San Francisco. Sound and visual quality was up to par even for an older theater. Great snacks and customer service.

We were invited from a friends kids birthday party. I was told every guest included a small soda and popcorn. When we walked in, I did see some popcorn were ready for guest. However, when I asked for soda, the worker serving snacks started giving face and mumbling something I couldnt hear. After awhile, they asked us to move the table that they put it there at the first place into the theater inside which is dark in the middle of the movie. They set the table outside the theater at the common area at first and then asked us to move in the middle of the movie in dark. After the movie, kids went out and the boss kept asking kids to go out as far away from the theaters saying another movie is ending and the watchers are coming out and we would be in their way. However I never see anyone coming out quick I guess she didnt want the kids being loud to affect other watchers which I could completely understand and I wish she communicated with us honestly. In fact she should turned in the lights off The theater my friend reserved and closed the door for the rest of the party. If they rented the theater for kids party, they should prepare the noise.i felt the worst that they were being so cheap giving faces when I asked for soda if it was party of the package my friend paid for. If I could give 0 stars, there wouldnt be one star as now.

The staff is nice but without a clue the screen was tiny but top and bottom had 12 inches of a sun shade blocking the projection - editing the film and when i mentioned it to the staff they were like okay, we will have a look and then they chuckled behind my back. The theater -#4- is smaller than my small living room - seats 36!!! And it is a noisy room you hear everything!!!If u must go ASK which theater you movie is playing in.And that theater WAS one of the best ones in The City,.

I went here the other day to see Murder on the Orient Express. The location is good, getting in is relatively painless (assuming you can find a parking spot), and the process of getting your ticket and going to the specific theater is remarkably fast. I would say this makes up for the fact that the projector screens are quite poor. The placement is slightly too high, the colors are somewhat dull, and there appear to be vertical chunks of the projector that are brighter than others. This didnt detract too much from my viewing experience, but I definitely expected better. But I would say that if image quality isnt a priority in your movie-going experience, this is definitely a good place to go if youre within the Presidio area.

My girlfriend and I went out to this theater to see Maleficent this evening. We like going to the local businesses when we can, and it is especially convenient since we work in the neighborhood. We have seen multiple movies at this location and the one down the street, but had never had a customer service issue before now.During the movie, the audio and video repeatedly cut out. Youd be enjoying a climactic scene, and then a hiccup to stop the pacing altogether. This seemed to happen over and over, and the entire crowd would exclaim louder and louder with every occurrence. I wanted to get up and notify them after the third time, but honestly I didnt want to miss part of my movie when I had paid 22 for our tickets and another 12 for concessions. I looked over at my girlfriend and she said lets just tell them after the film is over. It happened four, and then five times. And by the end of the movie, it had perturbed us enough to bring it up to the lady at the front. When we requested to speak to the Manager and tell her our experience at first they did not believe what had happen and asked why no one else from the theater had gone up to them while the film was still running to tell them what was going on, at the same moment a man to our left overheard us and confirmed to the Manager and the other employee what had happened and he too was disappointed on what had happened. When we requested for our money back, the Manager cut us off and said that they can give me two passes for the theater and cannot give me our money back and gave us the reasoning that if they give me my money back, then they would have to give everyone their money back. In which we stated that thats not what we asked for since we did not want to go see another film at the theater at risk that we may have the same experience with another film. After being cut off by the manager she proceed to tell us that it was OUR fault that we did not report the issue to them while the film was running. We proceed to try and explain that we still wanted to enjoy they film because if I would have left I would have missed a chunk of the film, and we were cut off rudely by the employee next to her who told me we were wrong and that the film is digital! And that its just a file they download from LAand that they dont use projectors. (Im sure they dont use the old style projectors with cans of film but Im pretty sure they have a computer and a digital projection system to somehow get it to the screen.) They told us that it was our fault for not stepping out of the film during the run time to notify them of an issue and since we sat through whole film that I did not deserve to have my money back. After being insulted we had a little emotional exit after being provoked by the Manager and her employee. We left to return to our car and knowing that we would pass by their other location (Marina Theater) we walked in to see an employee on her cell phone. She puts her phone down to assist me, we kindly ask her if there was a head office (since I knew both theaters were own by the same company, I was sure there was an owner or main operator I could speak too) we could call and I briefly said that I had a poor experience at their other location down the street and I just wanted to have someone to talk to about my experience, not giving any details on what had just happened, the poor girls face goes white and points to the brochures on the counter and saying that each theater has its own number and that theres no office to contact stating that they are just a small business. In which she states that if you have an issue you can call her..... I mean him We did not mention that the manager we just dealt with was a women, which tells me that the Manager from the other theater was on the phone with her gossiping about us and what had just happened.I plan on never returning to this chain with my business. But Ill be sure to tell my friends and family of my poor experience.
