Nice room and big screen. All of the movies they have were all updated and the foods they serve are all delicious. It was a very nice place with a comfy sofa and big pillows to lay on. So far, I really had a remarkable experience with this movie house. Better than expected. Thank you very much!

Great time at the historic in theGreat Star Theater. Definitely a lot on unique and interesting faces in the place tonight. The theatre seats 800+ and has a balcony. There is a rustic and old hollywood feel to the theatre but it is absolutely beautiful on the inside. Great venue for lectures, plays and shows.

Cool old theater in Chinatown. Small, a little worn, but historical and comfortable. Good view of the stage from most seats. Cosy interior in an eclectic neighborhood with good food and a large parking garage near by. Great place to see local talent from music to theater.

Outstanding funky old theater. Tons of independent shows and artists. They sell beer, wine, popcorn and candy. Great supporter of the arts! The best Chinese food restaurant is right across the street, too - Z & Y!

Historic theater on the Edge of Chinatown was originally opera house in the 1920s and then a movie theater for the Chinese neighborhood for a number of years. Its recently been renovated as a theatre. I saw a performance of Hair here celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Summer of Love. What a wonderful venue for this performance. I highly recommend coming here to experience either film, musicals, or drama.

The Great Star Theater in San Francisco has re-opened under new management and features a mix of live theater and films. I saw a live production last week by Circus Automatic, called Into the Mouth of the Wolf -- a combination of acrobatics, dance, and monologues by poet Joyce Lee. (Some performances feature storyteller Jamie DeWolf.) Through Nov. 13, 2016.

What a fun place to discover in the middle of Chinatown. The performance of Hair was amazing the performers gave it their very best, they were REAL unlike the traveling troupe that play the Orpheum or other off Broadway show.

In the heart of Chinatown, brings back memories from watching Kung Fu movies. Now open for local theater and standup. Needs to update the old uncomfortable seats.

Old theater. Perfect for Rocky Horror Circus Show. Affordable show(s) and allows outside food (we ordered take out dim sum from across the street). They dont allow drinks, even water, since they were selling it.

Weird hidden theater with a kind of creepy, David Lynch vibe. Saw a BYOB and free comedy show here that was actually really good.

Barebones, cozy, but with good community productions. Vespertine circus was great! Stairs to bathroom are quite steep.
