Holy cow! This was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. We came to a 4:30 pm show on a Saturday and were fortunate to get tickets just a few rows from the front. I would recommend trying to sit towards the middle, rather than the sides. Everything was superb from the acting to the humour, costumes, stage sets, live band, singing and aerial acrobatics. The icing on the cake for me was seeing the main performers swimming in the huge glass tank which sat on the stage. So many moments gave me goosebumps or took my breath away. If you can possibly get to see this, do!

The tents and show are in the back parking lot of AT&T park. The food is good and the area is warm even tho youre right next to the water. AmaLuna is vibrantly colored and the actors take your breath away. Bathrooms are outside and very slow. Great experience youll long remember.

Just go. There was like 3 different times I was sure someone was going to die. The comedians were super cute an funny in a roll your eyes kind of way. One lady balance a bunch of sticks which sounds boring but thats where I held my breath the longest. Luckily she often reminded me to breath. When booking they have a 360 view of your seat, which came in handy because the first seat I was going to get was behind a pillar. The daytime show was reasonably priced at $49 so I got an upgrade and paid $99/ticket. Parking is $15 and it was kinda hard to navigate on your way out so I hope you dont mind waiting 20 minutes for the lot to clear. You could park in old Sacramento by Joes Crab shack and walk across the bride if you get there early enough. Theres an embassy suites nearby that you could conceivably valet your car or you could grab a jump bike. My grandpa saw a Cirque du Soleil show 40 years ago and he lit up when he heard I went. Its a good show and apparently its been a good show for 40 years or more. Just go see it and then see it again in 10 years.

My very first Cirque show ever! First things first... at Stutter Health Park in Sacramento, GO EARLY. Traffic was terrible and traffic control was worse. And even though we had a disabled placard, we did not get disabled parking. The bathrooms, not conveniently located especially for disabled people. Now that being said, the show was AMAZING! A beautiful love story, acted out by the amazing principles, whose sheer athleticism will keep you on the edge of your seat. The incredible music that takes you in a turbulent journey across the seas to an island inhabited by Amazons.... and as the storm rages on these incredible artists/ athletes take you on an ethereal journey of love, lost.... and found.Im going again in February!

How can anyone describe an event that defies words? All I can do is describe how I reacted to the jaw dropping performers who ignored gravity, and what would be normal physical limitations for most people. Their immediate reward was the collective gasps of the astonished crowd who struggled to believe that any human being could defy gravity and normal physical limitations that way.I had a difficult time keeping quiet, especially when the performers were contorting their bodies into seemingly painful, anatomically impossible positions or jumping off very tall structures without hesitation and landing gracefully. These are extraordinarily talented young people who not only amazed and frightened me in equal measures, but also seemed to thoroughly enjoy every moment they were on stage. For the ladies: If you love watching muscular, bare chested men in form fitting clothes moving in mysterious ways (Thank you, U2!), you will REALLY enjoy this show. There was this one guy...oh, never mind; I wont go there! Oh, and guys will love the show, too. I heard plenty of suggestive comments and wolf whistles during the ladies performances! But the lady performers have my respect. I kept thinking, ouch, doesnt it hurt to stretch your hips into a perfectly straight, vertical position while youre hanging upside down from a rope thats tethered to the ceiling? If didnt hurt them, I was feeling the pain for them! (I have hip problems now, courtesy of a physically rambunctious childhood.)Anyway, go see this show while its still in Sacramento. You wont regret it!

Unreal, it feels like a dream now. A circus act and a play wrapped in two with some pretty incredible and dangerous feats. If you can afford it you should definitely go

This year, Ama Luna was in SF. It was amazing! Especially compared to last years show. Last year had double Dutch jump rope, trampoline tricks, tumbling and extreme bike tricks. I found that boring. This one kicked it up several notches. There was a rock bandish music, and all the acrobatic acts were impressive. There was a minor accident, I think a man in a tank swallowed some water and they stopped the show. When they came back a lizard guy did a juggling act which was followed by the finale. I sat in 205, Row H, seat 2 for this show no seats were bad. Last year there were some things that could not be seen, this year the stage and backdrop and theme of the stage was clear and amazing.

Alright Cirque fans, I recommend being in the 5th row and back for many reasons. I sat in the second row. The first two rows are level, if you got tall people in front of you, that will suck. Third row is LOWER than the second row, fourth is back up to level, and 5th is where you can see over people. Learn from my mistakes, either front row or 5th. Save that cash, I will next year!

On Aug 9, 2019 we came to watch the Amaluna 8pm show. The show before started late, so we were held outside for an additional 15 minutes. They were completely short staffed. They had us for 3 lines but only had enough staff to manage bag search and ticket validation for 2 lines. So lines definitely were not handled well as we were in front of the line, told to split and just stood there in a dead line until we complained, then they merged 2 of the lines. The bathrooms stalls are port-a-potty, very small so you can barely close the doors to get inside. They have water filling stations and you are allowed to bring your own container for water. They have concession stands and beverages inside the tent. There are hardly any bad seats as this tent isnt very large so you get a very clear view of the stage. What is annoying is that for the first 25 minutes of the show, all these later comers are trying to get to their seats and it became very distracting. The show was very entertaining to watch and marvel at the skills of the performers. I would definite watch more shows from Cirque du Soleil. One more advice, it was really cold out by the water, bring a good jacket.

My boyfriend and I love going to Cirque du Soleil shows whether it be in Las Vegas or in the Bay Area when theres a tour. He and I both agreed that Amaluna was one of the best ones weve seen. It definitely sits in my top 5. The production of Amaluna was amazing - from the lights, to the set, to the props, to the sound. It had a clear and cohesive story line. And, of course, the artistry and athleticism of the performers were absolutely exceptional.Amaluna was magical, and the divine feminine was strong in this one! Aside from the fact that 70% of the cast were female, Amaluna was an exhibition of womens strength, beauty, and sensuality. Having been in ceremonies, I totally recognized how the show started in ceremony and ended in ceremony. The way they visually represented the central fire during ceremony was so cool and creative, too. The moon and connection to the sacred feminine was also very obvious to me.Memorable acts for me included the following:- Killer all-female band! The lead guitarist on the strat had some solos, and I loved that she was smiling and totally feeling it. I loved the celloist and singers as well. The lead singer who played the goddess had a powerful voice and beautiful vibratos.- Ms. Luna, herself. The moon as portrayed by a trapeze artist using an O ring. She was breathtaking. The artists movements were elegant and effortless, and she was so damn flexible!- The main female character had her own acrobatic segment after the moon did her thing. She was doing these sick hand stands and balancing poses.- During one of the rituals, one of the female performers was balancing sticks. I know, I know... doesnt sound all that impressive because it wasnt like some high-flying act. But let me tell you, what she did was not easy. She was incredibly focused, and what made things feel more intense was her audible breathing.- Got to give it up for the male performers in the show too! They were just as great and brought in the balance of masculine energy. The main male characters pole dance segment was incredible! I also enjoyed the high energy acrobatic feats from the male performers on the see-saw.- The clowns were entertaining. They had great chemistry with each other, and it was fun watching their back and forth exchanges of love and kisses.
