Attended a rock concert (Thrice). Venue is great. Very accessible. Took the CalTrain from South Bay and walked right on down to it (~1 mile). The building was built in 1922 but is in great condition and has a very nostalgic charm. There are two balconies and a GA area with tiered levels and reserved booths. Mercy shops were out in the lobby. Bar has drinks including Red Bull.

Loved the energy. Loved the place. Had an amazing experience of Switchfoot playing here. The staff was great and welcoming and really helpful. The only downside in my experience was the restrooms.. barely had any latches on any of them.. I understand they’re trying to preserve the authenticity of the place but it seriously needs basic fixing.

One of the better venues to see live music in SF. It is easy to get in and out and the upper row seating still are good seats. They also have public parking not too far away that isnt too pricey. One of the more notable shows was The Flaming Lips on NYE.

This venue is very fun. Love the decorative ceiling and the vibe. Not a bad seat in the house since they are tiered. I didn’t notice if they have elevators or if they have designated seating for wheelchairs. There were a lot of stairs we had to navigate. Inside the venue it is very beautiful, intricate detailed art work on the ceilings. There are parking garages and street parking near by. I would not recommend parking south of market street. If you are waiting outside be prepared for people to solicit you for money. We generally purchase an extra taco or burrito to have on hand for someone who asks for food. After the shows there are Cooking grills set up and you can purchase sausages with grilled peppers and onions.I will definitely see a show here again.

Great event venue. Ive been to a couple of shows here and event staff made sure the the show floor wasnt too crowded and that everyone was well behaved. The high ceilings are great because it doesnt get too hot or stuffy. Coat/bag check is reasonably priced. Its close to BART too, which is awesome if a show ends at midnight (the last bart leaves at ~12:25am)!

Brit Floyd was amazing. Weve seen them 5 or 6 times now and this was easily the best weve ever seen them. It was VERY hard to tell the difference between their live performance tonight and the studio original recordings by The Floyd - both instrumentally and vocally. Truly impressive. The PA system was disappointing though. The mids and highs were clean and clear but the bass was flat and floppy. Not the deep, head and body shaking low frequencies that I expect. We were stage right, 4th row.

This is one of my favorite venues since its on the smaller side and the interior is beautiful. The upper balcony (row M) has wonderfully unobstructed views and a railing instead of seats/peoples heads in front of you. The staff helped us find our seats and pointed us in the right direction to the bathroom (which was well kept). They sold merchandise on the first floor by the stairs. When you go up one set of stairs, theres a bar area and an entrance to the seats. When you go up one more set of stairs, it leads you directly to the upper balcony seats. There are a few parking garages nearby and some small lots, but theres also free meter parking after 6 pm (fills up fast). It took a few laps before I found meter parking, but Id rather do that than pay $30+ for the garages. The streets that lead up to Market St are lined with homeless people and tents, but they usually keep to themselves and dont bother passersby. This venues neighbor is a gentlemans club, if youre into that.

The Warfield is a great place to catch acts. Good acoustics on the floor or upstairs. Like the Filmore, its staff is comprised of a lot of lifers who really care about their work, their venue, your happiness and your safety. Intimate venue where you are up closer and fairly personal with your favorite performers.

The space is great for hot boxing. Ventilation works perfect. At capacity the buildings energy comes alive.A closer look tells you the building has age, minor wear and tear that Im sure is kept to maintain an air of nostalgia for a well lived structure , however it would be nice to see tiny restorations made to preserve the buildings original beauty.I love how the balcony is close to the stage and not like a million miles away like in newer building where concerts are held.

Its a beautiful venue with a lot of room and history. Leave your gum in the car because you cant take it in with you. The main problem was the smoke that would come in from downstairs, so it smelled like we were outside with it. Acoustics were a little rough at times too, but overall the show we saw there was great.

My first experience enjoying a live band at this venue was pretty good. The only thing that upset me was the fact that they didnt make it known that one of the bands that was supposed to play wasnt there. At least it wasnt the headliner. The Warfield is my personal number one music venue in the entire city of San Francisco! Opened in 1922, The Warfield was a popular location that featured vaudeville and other major performances, such as Al Jolson, Louis Armstrong, and Charlie Chaplin. The Warfield became THE love music venue in 1979 when Bob Dylan played 14 shows at the start of his first Gospel Tour in November 1979, and again 12 shows in November 1980 during his A Musical Retrospective Tour. Its been rocking out every since! if you have the chance to get tickets for the floor, those are the best spots in the entire house to watch a show from. The floor is relatively small and intimate. Get close up to the musicians you love the most! #TheWarfield #SanFrancisco #LiveMusic #RockAndRoll

I am mostly going to rate the show I saw. I saw Olafur Arnolds and the only words I have to express how tranquil and serene it was are those two words: tranquil, serene, peaceful, loving, piano bliss. I cant get over how amazing that performance was. Warfield is a good venue too. Just unfortunately it is in a bad neighborhood.

Classic venue in the heart of downtown. Plenty of spots to chill and see the band from afar but also lots of room to get into the pit in GA. They keep the air cool and flowing during the shows which is important. They have awesome weird beer cups that fill from the bottom and plenty of bars all over the place. Also restrooms are small but everywhere. This is a huge venue so get there early and prepare to hang outside with Market St. before you get in.

The Warfield is a stellar concert hall. Loved the elaborate turn of the 20th century design and vibe. Sound system was excellent. Seats were pretty comfortable. Even for the cheap seats, I thought I had a pretty good view. The show with Thrice was AMAZING. The only thing I dont like about the Warfield is you typically end up parking near or in the Tenderloin. So when you get out of the show late at night, Ill have to be honest, but it is just a little bit scary. San Francisco is struggling these days for sure.

Very cool historical place to catch a show. The architectural layout is well done and made so you are able to see the stage from anywhere in the stands. It also has beautifully done, original ceilings, fixtures and Chandelier that hangs at the top of the grand staircase. As it is a historical building expect a paranormal event to happen or be captured on your photos. Its a mist visit when in the downtown SF area!

The Warfield has a rich history but its time has come. It is situated along Market Street and the homeless and drug problem are out of control. You fear for your safety while waiting in line and witness some of the saddest and most disgusting images of urban life imaginable. Once inside, the old theater has charm but the sound and acoustics are painful and inferior to most concert halls. The venue lacks any audio visuals and good seats are still far from the stage. The large light fixtures on ceiling look as though their mounts are old and out of line. There are so many more modern and better venues. It time for this old gal to have a big upgrade as audience deserves better especially at today’s ticket prices. Truthfully the Warfield is one step up from a high school gym. Just keeping it real from someone who has seen hundreds of concerts. I can’t go there again unless something is done.

If you can’t provide service don’t offer it. I wanted to speak with a manager but they didn’t even know who the manager is because they have vendors that they don’t control.
