Youll have a great time. Comics are hilarious, clever and relevant. The space is small yet intimate which makes for a really cool experience. It was our first time there but definitely wont be our last. Two massive thumbs up.

I had never been to Cobbs Comedy Club before, until the night we saw Dov Davidoff performed.Venue: the venue was located in San Francisco on Columbus Ave. if youre coming from the east bay and plan to have drinks you might want to take public transportation, its definitely bartable but you will also have to take a bus. Its pretty easy though. There are some street parking but you might want to get there early to get them. The venue does not look much from the outside but the inside look great. Its not as big as broadway theatre but large enough to house/seat about 350 plus from what I can tell. There are seatings on the second floor as well. And guess what restrooms on both floors are available. The are regular tables and booth seating. But wherever you sit is good enough to see the center stage. This comedy club has guests that have performed at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman.Comedians get 5 stars: At first I didnt know who Dov Davidoff was but when he came out I recognized his face. He is one funny guy! I was laughing the entire time. Even the two acts before him performed well. Very funny and very different materials. Loved their performance! The staff 3 Stars: they’re friendly but they seemed so busy that they forget to come back to our table. But its not their fault. They may have been short staffed that night. It was required to order two drinks so we ordered the last drink but it never came. And at the end of the night it took very long to get our checks. The food: appetizers, dinner and desserts are available. We only ordered drinks since we had dinner before we came. They offered drinks like sodas, beer, wine and was happy they had hot tea!!!We were happy that we sat with very nice people and we enjoyed ourselves. I hope to come again in the near future! Thank you to the performers and the staff!

Very intimate setting where you can see mildly famous and very funny people from 20 feet away. Good drinks, and you must buy two of them. The food is mediocre though...have dinner nearby then head over. Early arrivals get better tables, but in truth there isn’t a bad seat in the house! I go back often!

Incredible and legendary spot, have seen some of the best comics in the world here, they all go through Cobbs. Great club vibe and the VIP seating is worthwhile for a front row view and great service. Expect a block long line up for good comics.

Big talent in a small venue. Almost all the seats are great, even at the rear and in the balcony. Service is good, food is not good, drinks are average. I go for the comedians, not the food. Try to buy a reserved seat up front because then you can eat at a local restaurant and still be sure of a good seat. Check out their sister club The Punchline which is smaller, intimate, and also books big names.

My girlfriend and I came to Cobb’s Comedy Club to see Tom Green. One of the best experiences ever. We came about an hour early to the evening show and scored free parking right in front. It’s located in a perfect spot in San Francisco, with multiple restaurants and cafes littered around. The club itself is a very intimate experience, with fantastic seating. They impose a minimum two drink purchase, but if you don’t drink alcohol you can buy a soda. In total I spent 60 dollars for two tickets, totally worth it for the two hours of entertainment. Definitely a must see place in San Francisco!

They get the best headliners and almost always have them meet you before and after the shows. Free coat check ( please tip, but its free) and really great wait staff. Highly recommend. One of the best comedy clubs out there. Theres no attached parking, BUT meter parking is free after 7pm so try to snag a spot if you can. If not there are dozens of lots nearby.

The environment had good energy going in. Employees were pleasant and hospitable which is always a plus. The only issue we had was getting food and drink. Our waitress did not return for a long time to take our order...meanwhile everyone around us was being served constantly . She came finally and said it was becuz we are sitting in her area.. then she sat our drinks behind our backs without telling us so we didnt drink our drinks for a while thinking it belonged to someone else... we never got our check and credit card back...had to stalk her for that...long story short we found out she was new employee..Smh... my wife wasnt happy.. she kind of killed our buzz. Minus that.... overall good vibe experience.

Longtime patron of this comedy club. Today, I give the box office customer service 1 star. Couple weeks ago, I bought my ticket to the Michael E Winfield show. Today, saw that Cobbs is giving away FREE tix for this show through Eventbrite. Spoke w/ Box Office Mgr to ask for refund or credit but she refused & reiterated their policy. I asked to speak w/ her manager and she said they aren’t in and there are no guarantees they will call me. I asked if she agrees it isn’t right or fair to not issue a refund to people who bought the tickets now that the show is free. She hung up on me. This is not how one should do business and I’m certain the club owner would be appalled at her behavior. *A tip from me to everyone: Check out Eventbrite & Funcheap & DotheBay first before buying tickets to Cobbs. The security & wait staff are cool.

The group that I came here with arrived around 30 minutes before the show started and we were able to sit together at a table (5 of us total) without any issue. There is a 2 drink minimum per person that they are able to keep track of as the servers come by and take your order instead of you ordering at the bar. We were able to see the stage and hear everything from where we were. The bathrooms were stocked and good as far as a bar bathroom can be.

As a venue to see comedy its pretty good! If you get stuck towards the back it can make it hard to see and Im 6 tall! The mando 2 drink min. is pretty standard for a comedy location and the drinks werent outragous in price and they were tasty and strong. My big gripe is the food! Yo! Cobbs...you need to put some effort into the food action! Your Garlic French fries were hella weak! ...and the hummas platter was boo boo! I dont expect it to be Chez Panisse but come on. Its french fries and Hummas! I still love you though, and we will be back! One more thing. For some reason I have the parking gods on my side every time I come here...I know! Parking in the City! The drinks are absolutely horrible, and you’re forced to get two of them each (regardless of how long the show is - one was only 45minutes last week). I scored free tickets to the Wednesday night event. The space was pretty nice and the venue was maybe half-full. The first thing I disliked was the TWO DRINK MINIMUM that they require, whether alcoholic or otherwise. Just for that, I didn’t want to buy any. Oh, and it’s $6 for a bottle of water. REALLY. The kitchen closed at “about 9” so I couldn’t order any snacks, which was the only decently priced thing on the menu. Drinks were all $10 and above- $10 for a beer. My friends and I didn’t laugh too much, but humor is very much a subjective thing. The acts were a lot quicker than I expected- some seemed to only be 20 minutes each, but I wasn’t counting. Don’t plan to return, but not an awful way to spend the night. Good hot chocolate (also $6)

I went here to see the podcast And Thats Why We Drinks live show on February 7th. The show itself was amazing and funny. However, the venue was very disappointing. We arrived about an hour early for the show and tried to pick up our tickets from the box office. The woman in the office was rude. She kept looking at her computer, didnt move closer to the window, and we could barely hear her because she was talking at the computer instead of to us. We asked to pick up our tickets and she refused as it wasnt time to open the door yet. So we got in line and it was all well and good until we got to front were screened by security and had to go to the box office yet again to get the tickets. While we were trying to get them, people who had already gotten their tickets were able to go in. This was especially irritating because the seating was first come, first serve and we had tried to get the tickets beforehand to avoid this situation. When we finally got inside and were seated, we had to wait for the servers to take our drink order. Every one around us, even people who were seated after us, had started getting their drinks and even food orders before they even took our drink order. We didnt have our order taken until we had been seated for 50 minutes. Other people were already on their second and third drinks. It isnt hard to notice whos been served when youve been looking around for a server. It was very frustrating. When we finally placed an order, we made sure to order an extra drink because who knew when or if theyd come back. The drinks were very small. Even trying to stretch them out through the show didnt work they were gone before the show was half over. Luckily, the server came back one more time before the show was over. The drinks also had very little alcohol. Im the type of person that gets flush with one beer. There was so little alcohol that I didnt get flush at all.Additionally, the chairs were uncomfortable. They were like the one McDonalds used to have. Comfortable enough to quickly eat but uncomfortable after a while to discourage loitering. There was a bar on the back that kept digging into me and I was constantly readjusting.Overall, it was terrible. I will never go back and would never recommend it to anyone.
