Historic music venue. Always a great spot to catch a show. Ive had the honey r of seeing a number of artists here from classic acts from my youth in the 80s to new up and coming bands. Small enough to be intimate but big enough to bring high energy.

Went to see Simple Plan here. It’s an older concert venue so the line extends out to a few blocks but they have bouncers who help manage the line. Very traditional concert venue, can probably house a couple of thousand people. They serve food inside and also have a room where they display posters of all iconic performers that performed at this venue historically. If you get to go here for a concert, it’s a good place to have fun!

Its The Fillmore, what else is there to say?!Every concert Ive been to here was great. The view from the balcony seats are great, but its very hard to get a seat there. So either show up early or hope to get lucky. The small restaurant on the second floor has food during the concert in case you didnt have time to eat elsewhere, but consider eating in nearby Japantown! So many good restaurants a short walk away.

Ive been to a few concerts these past couple of months and the Fillmore is definitely one of my favorites. The chandeliers are stunning, and the light work was amazing. I really liked the layout, however it proved to be detrimental as it took us about 10 minutes to exit the building as the only exit is a narrow corridor down stairs. Staff was very friendly, and it was very clean when we got there.

People that love music who come to San Francisco must make it a point to go see a show at the legendary Fillmore. This was a place where a Bill Graham supported a part of what was the 60s what was part of American culture that people still talk about here in 2020. When you walk in the front door there are red apples waiting in a bucket for you to eat. Legend is that back in the day these apples were spiked with LSD. Today theyre simply a tip of the hat to a time far gone. Today the venue hosts many up and coming artists. It hours many great artists. If youre truly lucky youll get a poster on your way out the door at the evening. Its a true Fillmore tradition.

My first time at this venue to see The Revolution Princes former band. The experience was magical. It rained we stood in line for 2 and a half hours and everyone there staff included were so nice. The inside was beautiful. There is very limited seating but, if you call a head it is there. The sound was fantastic I just have nothing but great memories and warm feelings. There was a 3rd floor with posters from the years of people who have performed their over the years. I truly felt that this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just amazing! I didnt get great picture too excited about the show. You have to be there yourself to know. 5 Stars!

Its beautiful, filled with amazing history, the staff is super friendly, and we were amazed that they have people come into the crowd to take drink orders & then deliver them! That is no small feat. Id drop them if I attempted that. Haha I think the only negative is that there isnt convenient parking. Thats just San Francisco for ya, though. Everyone needs to go see a show at the Fillmore. Robin Trower was my first concert ever back in 1979 at the Berkeley Community Theater and hes still as amazing as ever. Ive been to The Fillmore countless times and its always a treat to just be there. Its an awesome venue in general but its also a living museum with an incredible history. Dont miss the upstairs with all of the posters and photos.

What a gorgeous venue! The adventure of wandering through the rooms, finding unique, exquisite snapshots of music history - actual photos as well as the one-of-a- kind concert posters -- is magical. The sound of the music itself is intense and rich from every room and corner of the venue. When I went recently I saw Poor Mans Whiskey (along with friends like and Maddie Carpenter and Alison Harris) and Sam Chase and the Untraditional). It was a fantastic show. The music and atmosphere created at this incomparable venue create visceral memories.

When I asked the local historian at city Hall about the Filmore, he mentioned that the neighborhood went through a TON of changes and 30 years ago, nobody would ever step foot there but now its teeming with life and had a economic growth. He also mentioned how the neighborhood struggled with crime and still did on occasion. This area should in itself be one of the many monuments to San Francisco.I would enjoy it for the present times and how the past shaped it to what it is today.

Have always dreamed of seeing a worthy show here and Earthgang was the one. Side from the performance being untouchably phenomenal, the two bartender gals that night as well as the girl running food were so sweet, so friendly, very social and just everything I love in a good bar tender. Strong drinks, delicious apples and oven warm chocolate chip cookie cannot be anything bad. Plus I love red heads and the girl who made my margarita was one and it drove me so good bananas cream pudding

What more could be added about a place that is an iconic landmark in San Francisco? Well, as a newbie (that was my first time there), I can give some info useful to other newbies. First, you may have noticed that the place says its general admission, standing-room only. Well, its not 100% true. The stage right has a line of benches with small bar tables, which may be reservable. Of course, why would you stay seated at the benches when a crowd is standing in front of you watching the band? But also, the upstairs balcony has a few (3 or 4) small tables with a view that can accommodate a few people. I dont know if they are reservable, but if you are the first in line when the doors open, you could perhaps score one of those (have your friends save the space if you want to go downstairs and dance here and there). Theres a full bar downstairs, and a place that serves food and drinks upstairs. No need bringing your own snacks. A plus: interesting concert poster collection going back to the sixties.
