Best place for those who love to dance. Music varies but there is always an good time to enjoy with the right company! Also there are some great drinks and competitions occasionally. I am sure you all have fun.

Ive always had the most fabulous time there for 25 years, but cannot believe it closed without any notice to their dedication patrons...makes me really sad and cuts my belief in our community and a safe place to enjoy the fun in life. This was the only place I felt comfortable going out dancing at. Am so shocked!

This is the most romantic of the San Antonio Dancehalls. The twinkling lights, and trees, make it feel as though its a cool evening, on an outdoor patio. The floor is spacious, and the staff is sweet! The music has more 90s country mixed in, (and more waltzes!) than Cowboys. They also have water out, which is great for us dancers. ️

This place is very near and dear to my husband in my heart. We met there got engaged there and most recently celebrated New Year’s. We love everything about it

Great Dance Floor. A little disappointed in the music selection. If you like music from the last century, youll love the place. Its definitely for an older crowd. Most people in there were over 40 or 50. Wish they would have played a little more of the newer music out in the last 10 years.

Went to dance lesson on Sunday. It was awesome and everyone was real friendly. Instructors were very helpful and made it easy for beginners. But challenging enough for others as well.

A large dance and drink place! At least 4 bars in convenient locations with pool and other bar games. Good bar food and snack foods from the Cafe! Plenty of drink choices to please anyone! They also have a friendly and energetic staff to make your night a good one!

Drinks are priced ok.They threw away my half full glass of wine.DJ plays out of date music. The dance floor was empty for numerous songs.Play some Alan Jackson !!! Give us something we can dance too. Just wasnt feeling the place tonight. Usually I go here every Saturday night to dance.Now I will go to thirsty horse.6 dollars to get in. Not worth it.

Go there on Fridays for Tejano music. Dance floor is great, bartenders are good and waitresses are always friendly. All said service is good, music is great and people are very friendly.

What a fun place! Great atmosphere and dance floor. The bartender was a kind of slow getting drinks out but did good. If you like Jack Daniels, this place serves frozen Jack and Coke!! Yum!!!!

This used to be one of my favorite places to hangout and dance. Music was always good and the bartenders were awesome. Then something changed. A bunch of people got fired for no reason at all and then a bunch more quit. The music isnt great anymore and it sucks when they bring in live bands. The last 2 times I went there on a weekend there was a live band and you couldnt dance to any of the songs they were playing.. unless youre interested in only super slow dancing. Which Im not. I went in a Wednesday recently and it was super slow, but the DJ was there so the music was much better. Im just really disappointed with them lately. Its gone downhill for me.

It was fun. The live band was pretty good, music was good for 70s night. Did not get the chance to order from the kitchen but it was advertised.

So, my husband and I went on vacation and went there two nights in a row. When we got back home from vacation, we looked at our bank statement and midnight rodeo charged over $600!! We figured out that the bartender tipped herself over $400. I said no biggie. I’ll call and they’ll fix it. They called right back and I gave them the information and never got a call back. I’ve called and called. They found out I was from out of state and won’t call back. If you call nobody answers and it goes to voicemail. I’m getting a lawyer and going to sue them. I just think it’s ridiculous that a bartender can steal and it’s not a big deal.

More of a 30-something and up spot. Great if you want to avoid the insanity that you often find at other country bars in town. Huge circuit dancefloor. Open on Sundays.

Sundays..slow. but great dancers. Great way to get some exercise in and sharpen your dancing skills.

I have gone here once or twice a year for many years. We really like this place as a destination to bring guest who are not familiar with Texas life. The Dancing is the best C&W dancing I have seen in SA. Everything is great.....except...Dont get the Long Island Ice Tea, it is a featured drink there but it is not as good as what is long island ice tea at most places (here it is all soda and ice, not the traditional pint glass full of alcohol).

Its a shame really. This place used to be great. They seem to cheap out on running the AC regularly, gets hot very quickly inside.Also, they added a live band on Saturday s. The band is so bad that they actually clear the dance floor, that is not good! And charging a $6 cover to see that garbage. No thanks. Almost no other country bar charges cover ( except on big name band nights)I go to almost every other country bar in SA now! Sorry Rodeo, you gotta fix this situation or become a memory.

My favorite place for dancin and glancin!

I am there at least once a month for the free dance lessons on Friday night at 7 pm. The drinks are not too pricey and they are happy to serve ice water with lime for the no drinker. The large oval-continuous dance floor is spacious. Lots of seating, padded booths, stools by the dance floor or tables inside the oval. Fun place for large groups to have a party. Fun place for a single person to meet new and interesting people. Skill in country dancing not required. Just be polite and have fun.

Best place to learn how to dance. Not only was I an out of Towner but I had no clue what I was doing. The patrons there taught me and the wait staff served me! Best drinks that I have had!

I love country music and dancing. Its large enough for you to have plenty of room to be in. It does get a little loud and when some of the younger crowd is there a little crazy. But if you enjoy country music and dancing they are all ages there. Ive work there and Ive gone there for over 12 years. Ive met some very nice people and made some good friends. If youre wanting to have a party they cater to try to help you. It is a first-come-first-serve but they will you what they can maybe give you some balloons. It was ok. No food so dont go hungry. They have pool, cards, Jenga, and a big Connect four. Ac is cold which is awesome. Restrooms are spacious and maintained. Dance floor is a loop. Great for watching and trying to learn. Night I went seemed everyone had a date so wouldnt recommend a Saturday. I ended up leaving early.

This place hadnt changed a bit with one exception. Now that the inside is smoke free you can go there without coming home stinking to high hell. You can see the other end now that its not a cloud of tar in there. Other than that! This place has kept its charm.

They have a wonderful oval dance floor. They play at 80% country western music but periodically take a break and play a variety of music. They also do a line dance about every 45 minutes. Once a month they celebrate birthdays and give away a small bottle of champagne and cake.

Very kicked back Place mainly country western or Tejano and you do not have to dress up jeans cowboy boots and a shirt you know and us girls its usually you know jeans a pretty shirt and Boots if you have them if you dont its whatever sandals anything you want not formal at all

This was our first time here. Really nice place. Was an older crowd at first then a couple groups came that were younger but they joined in on dance floor. Everyone for most part were reapectful while dancing. We have went to another place where the younger groups seem to think hopping n skipping and running into everyone is ok. Very nice staff also. No band but the DJ is really good and keeps the crowd interested. Never heard the same song twice which is a plus. Will be going back again soon.

Great place for country music dancing, that is free of the college crowds. Nice circular dance floor and wide open areas for pool and seating. Highly recommended.
